I don't usually review anything but I felt I had to share my views on this outstanding campsite. Huge site plenty of space, !offering beautiful views. Clean and modern facilities. Everything you may need from the well equipped motorhome user to single man tented backpacker.
Very warm and friendly staff. Fantastic fresh and tasty meals in the cafe. (Highly recommended)
A must visit campsite if anywhere near the Gairloch area.
Always on my itinerary when doing the NC500.

Fantastic site, very large with a pitch to suit everyone. Great situation with lovely views and a great walk along the beach and fields. Facilities were fantastic, some of the best we have found. Of course we will return!

This is a big site spread over large areas of grass land leading to high grassy dunes, behind which is a huge sandy beach. You can park where you want as long as you are 7m from your nearest neighbour. The higher more exposed sites have wonderful views over the dunes out to sea, and there are sheltered sites down at the base of the dunes, plenty of hook-ups, and 9 water points dotted about the site, plus a good motorhome service point, but there is only one elsan disposal point marked on the map of the site. There are three toilet/shower blocks, the one on the right which we used was absolutely pristine and even had a bathroom and a large double shower cubicle, ideal if you have smaller children. There is a large fenced off dog walk at the top of the site and a well stocked shop and a cafe. Our only negative was the complete lack of phone signal on O2 and 3 networks, and the site wifi was expensive and didn't work on our pitch. Apart from this it's a lovely site which we would use again if in the area.

A site that caters for all tastes. Lovely location and excellent facilities. It could easily be over whelmed by static vans and seasonal pitches but they seem to have a good balance for visitors passing through and regular customers. One has a choice of being at the top of the site or nested within the dunes and there is EH to both areas. One of the best and good base for exploring the area.

There really is nothing not to like about this site. Fantastic location by the beach, plenty of space to pitch (we were there during Easter school hols), facilities that compare well to any in Netherlands or Germany. Well stocked mini-market on site, helpful staff. Provides a good base for accessing the Gairloch area which has quite a lot of tourist amenities.

Fantastic location, with superb sea views, but can be a little windy so choose your pitch wisely. Well stocked shop on site and superb shower block with loads of showers and toilets. Excellent cafe/restaurant on site we sampled both the breakfast and evening meal times and the food was very good. Handy stop on the Route 500 will definitely call again.

We stopped here for one night but really wish we had stayed longer so we will go back for sure.
The beach was amazing and what we came here for. Plenty people recommended this site to us, that it was great for families and it is for sure. We also had our dog. It is a very large site and I would say that was the only thing I didn't like about it as I prefer smaller sites but it was quiet when we arrived and the area can handle a lot of people. The facilities were excellent. Lovely showers, toilets, hair dryers(free) hair tongs (pay), communal cooking indoor lounge space. Cafe, chemical toilet waste.
We chose our sight next to the sand dunes so we could access the beach immediately. There was a little play park where we were and the kids all played happily together.
We used a cafe and shop in the village, which was charming and friendly.
Great.

This site always promised to be good. We had read a number of reviews and all were good. We weren't disappointed. The weather had taken a turn for the better on the journey and we arrived on a very peaceful Friday lunchtime in late September.
It's a large open site covering maybe 40 acres of grass, dunes and beach with a few hardstandings and all on a well drained sandy soil. There had been a lot of wind and rain prior to our arrival but you’d hardy know it as our camper van had no problems at all over the ground. The views are simply amazing down over the dunes, across the beach, out to sea and over to the mountains and islands of the west coast of Scotland. Electric hook ups are scattered around the site if you need them, but large areas are used simply for tents or vehicles wanting no hook up. There are 3 toilet and shower blocks spread over the site; the 2 we used were some of the best we have ever encountered. There is a wonderful cafe called “the barn” on site which we used several times. It's better and nicer than any cafe I have ever used. A beautiful converted barn with a turf roof, scrupulously clean with fresh flowers on each table, excellent meals throughout the day and evening and cakes that were simply delicious. There is even a small take out menu if you want to dine in the privacy of your own tent or caravan, we can recommend the take away pizzas. The staff were always kind and attentive without being pushy.
The 3 days at the end of September we were there we had lovely sunny still weather. The midges had gone into hibernation so walking down through the sand dunes to a beautiful beach was always a joy. The views from the beach inland and out to sea, breathtaking.
We will return.

Beautiful site. Lovely situation with direct access to the beach. Facilities were superb. Spotlessly clean and very spacious. Well stocked, not overly expensive, shop. Very friendly and helpful at reception. A large site with a mixture of privately owned units, camping pods and camping areas, as well as plenty of electric hook up sites for motorhomes/caravans. Only four were on hardstanding, the rest were on grass. Well spaced out. Cafe on site.

Great site in spectacular location. You are able to choose your own pitch and even when busy don't feel too close to others. The toilet blocks were always clean and lots of hot water.
Fantastic new restaurant with great food
