After reading good reviews we decided to stay 4 nights here on our way home from the northeast. Very disappointed. Arrived in the pouring rain and although we emailed our booking no-one around to check us in or to allocate a pitch.
Campsite was empty so we pitched up regardless. We had a riverview which was very pretty. Next day upon seeing the poor facilities which consisted of the toilets being in a shipping container and the disgusting smell coming from the chemical disposable area we decided to cut short our stay. I'm disabled and would have found the facilities lacking.
At £20 per night I don't think the site lives up to the price being charged.

A great welcome from Wendy. Had 3 days of glorious weather overlooking the river, lock and weir.
Site is tidy and easy to find.
The food in the on site pub is really good and the beer is local.
Had a nice trip into York on the local bus (not running weekends at the moment) that stops at the end of the drive.
Lots of wildlife and walks.
A great time.

Very friendly site.
Wendy welcomed us on arrival and seemed to do most jobs around the site during our stay.

Lovely views on the Ouse.

Enjoyed our stay. We travelled in our motorhome, our daughter came with us with her tent.
We were allowed adjoining pitches. The site was full (bank holiday) but we had no problems.
We enjoyed a very good meal in the site pub. Wendy was a pleasure to talk to.
We will be visiting again.

Super campsite, excellent host helped us out with whatever we needed.
Lovely pub right by the water. Offering hearty pub grub in large portions.
We canoed from the edge of the campsite to York and from Boroughbridge.
Electric pitches are right by the water. Camping field a bit further back but more family friendly. Could do with another blokes loo.

Lovely site with spacious well kept pitches overlooking the river Ouse.
All ran from a Great little pub with delicious home cooked meals.
Very friendly, and helpful staff doing a fantastic job with all the Covid restrictions and guidelines in place.

Love this site, great location with some lovely walks with our dogs.
We were the only ones using it this week end so loads of space.
The owner was lovely and very welcoming. Pub food was also great, we had fish and chips and really enjoyed it.
Overall would totally recommend.
Facilities were not open due to covid so cannot comment on those.

We enjoy going to Linton to relax by the river and always get a lovely welcome from Wendy who also cooks lovely meals, which we missed this time as the pub isn't open Mondays.
We will be back and time it better for a meal, even if it's still a takeout.

Small and friendly site. Beautiful setting. Heavy rain so had to avoid riverside pitches and use hardstanding but its October so expected. The lady booking us in was very friendly and helpful.
Showers are 50p but last for plenty of time and the electric is around £1:00 per day and that was with us using an electric heater.
There is a small bar and food available which we didn't use this time (friend lives very close)but have before and is very good.
