First time we stayed on a C&C Club site so were apprehensive as to what to expect. But were pleasantly surprised. After the initial shock of the very bumpy entrance lane, which we were assured was going to be repaired and filled in the next day. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Amenities block spotless and warm, though the hair dryers in the ladies could do with being re positioned as currently right opposite shower cubicles in narrow walkway and makes it hot and awkward when people are trying to get in and out of shower cubicles !
Fabulous to be surrounded by bluebells and primroses whilst watching the abundant wildlife and mischievous squirrel that ran away with all 4 of the fatballs we put out for the birds. Can visualize that once all the trees and bushes are in leaf and flowering it would loose that feeling of being quite close to your neighbour.
Lovely pretty village up the road with an animal sanctuary that is free to get in. Ideally placed with lovely walks to the castle. Items sold in fridge rather expensive, but you can order a paper for the next day, which was nice touch.
Will definitely be back soon.

We enjoyed our visit here very much. Helpful staff. Good, clean, warm toilet / shower facilities. Some pitches slope a bit so be prepared to use chocks. With the pitches between the trees gives a nice regimented feel.
If the wind is Westerly you may hear the army firing ranges, but it isn’t obtrusive. In fact the wife thought it was a wood pecker at first, some wood pecker! Otherwise it is very quiet and, as others have mentioned, dark at night.
A walk up the hill at the back of the site reveals fantastic views of the castle and surrounding area. It’s a 15-20 minutes walk to Corfe which is worth the effort.
Be aware that the track that leads to the site is very narrow and bumpy. It could do with a bit of attention, filling some of the larger pot holes.
We will be back.

What a lovely site. It was nice to be pitched among the primroses and bluebells - not in regimental rows. There are some lovely walks and views from the site and Corfe Castle is just a short walk away. Plus, of course, Swanage and several other beaches close by.
The wardens are extremely friendly and are always working to keep the site special. Toilets and showers - immaculate. Highly recommended.

We were lucky to stay here during the ‘Indian Summer’ so didn’t encounter any mud, it was a bit dusty under the trees! Once the van was levelled up we didn’t move it for 4 days, the walks to Corfe are fantastic.
We took the steam train to Swanage and the bus (hourly) to Swanage and Wareham. We can’t wait to go back next year, the facilities are first class, the only thing we found was that being late in the year and dark by 7.30 a good torch is essential, the toilet block is well lit but our part of the site was very dark, had to remember to fill the water bottles before dark. Great for star-gazing, no light pollution at all!
Highly recommended, the wardens were friendly and helpful too, nice to see younger wardens on a CCC site.

Lovely site. Everybody friendly and helpful. It was nice to see tents as well as caravans and motor homes. Easy off road walk into Corfe and then train into Swanage for an old fashioned seaside experience.
I drove down through Warham, but returned through Poole. I think the ferry route is probably better. Site totally off the sat nav (you are told this)
Will definitely be returning in 2010.

I really enjoyed this site we stayed for 6 nights although the weather was not great the pitch did tend to get bit muddy.
Most pitches will need blocks to level things up the showers and toilets were clean and staff helpful.
Great walks with our Dog which was nice. They have a small shop although we did not use it I did find that the pitches arer quite close together which I guess is the same on most sites. The road up is bumpy and yes the sign is hard to see so bit of work needed on both of these

This is the first time we've used a c&cc site and were pleased with it. It was smaller than we expected, pics are deceiving.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the shop was ok, sold the usual basics but wasn't open very much, only a few hrs a day.
The toilet block was impressive, nice and modern with very good powerful showers with the added bonus of a chair and plenty of hooks. None of our clothes got wet thanks to the glass doors to the shower.
I didn't bring the kids this time so can't really comment on the park, it was hidden away in the trees which I'm not sure I would be happy about as I like to see the kids are ok.
The lane is very very bumpy leading down to the site.

We have just come back from this site after spending a week there, and what a happy time we had there, when we arrived (my wife and myself )we were greeted by the site staff and they were very helpful and we were shown to our pitch and were told all about the facilities,we then erected our Green Outdoors Tipi tent, which caused a lot of interest.
I did notice that there were a lot of tents on site and there seemed to be no bias towards caravans or tents all given the same treatment.
The toilet block wash rooms, mother and child room, washing up and showers are all in the same block near the entrance,i think there is a need for a toilet block at other end of site as it is some distance away, the block was kept spick and span, and always seemed to be clean even after rain.
There is a children's playground at back of site and we were pitched just in front of this, but the noise did not bother us much, except when the children were playing late into the evening, perhaps a closed time should be introduced dependant on time of year.
Surrounding area is really beautiful and there are many sign posted walks, and the ruins of Corfe Castle close by Corfe village is lovely with some super pubs and cafes.
I think this site is my favourite of all C&CC sites and will be visiting a few times next season.
I must make a mention of the site staff who will go out of their way to help you have a good time and sort out any problems,so many thanks to Mr&Mrs Dando site managers and Mr&Mrs Ellis site assistants for your help during our stay

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this site. The location of the site is fantastic with just a short walk (15mins) through National Trust land with beautiful scenery into Corfe Village.
The site was friendly and welcoming with clean shower facilities, great laundry room. Although the washing up area (3 sinks) was very busy. To freeze your ice blocks its 50p per block per freeze which I thought was a bit much.
The Pitches I would not recommend to anyone with a tent they are on quite a slope and in the August period its extremely busy and far too close together, with no organisation to them. Due to the sloping of the pitch we left two days earlier than expected.
Corfe is expensive to eat, we found a pub/restaurant called The Half Way Inn on the A351 heading to Wareham Excellent Food, very friendly with a Childrens Play Area.

Just got back from yet another enjoyable stay at this site. This year the already great site (love those showers!) has had a few more improvements (new water stand-pipe areas & some resurfacing).
The people running the site are very friendly & helpful, despite us visiting at peak season.
I just love the great walking to be had in all directions straight from the site. Good wildlife to be spotted (Badgers, Bats, Deer & an overload of blackberries!).
Huge list of things to see & do, but in brief:
Walking (to Corfe), Wareham, Swanage, Old Harry's rocks, Purbeck hills, SW coastal path etc.
Tyneham, Worth Matravers, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Dor, Monkey World, Tank World, Beaches (Swanage & Studland).
Roll on next year's trip to Corfe.
