We stayed at this lovely site for the first time, for two nights, and I wish it could have been longer. On arrival the staff are very friendly and welcoming. And we found all the staff from reception, the cafe and the bar staff went out of their way to help you.
Guy one of the wardens was lovely he showed us to our pitch and always asked if we were ok when passing.
The toilets were lovely and clean. And the site itself was in a beautiful setting round the lake. The views are stunning. And of course the dog loved it.
We had a meal from the bar and that was very tasty also. My children came to visit and even though one lives local to the site said it was so good they will come and stay themselves.
I cant wait to go back to this lovely site and would recommend it to anyone.

Spent 3 nights here at the end of the Whitsun week. Lovely friendly welcome and shown where to pitch, very nice position in the field by the river and next to the bridge. Big campsite but the showers and sinks were adequate, never had to queue, plenty hot water.
Had a lovely walk around the lake one evening and it was even hot enough to swim in the swimming areas of the lake which was nice for the children. We also went on the 'donuts' being pulled behind the speedboat, £5 per person for 5 minutes and it was brilliant, you have to book at reception though, it appears the watersports can get very busy.
My only gripe was noisy neighbours on the Friday evening, about 4 families had obviously met up for the weekend and didn't start eating until 10.45pm! As the rules state no noise after 11pm that would annoy the neighbours, we were disappointed that they were not told to be quiet by the wardens, we had to do it ourselves, nothing worse than lying in your sleeping bag listening to every word they all have to say with the volume going up and up the more drink is consumed!
Anyway, saturday night was better but I do think wardens should enforce these rules when many families have young children.
Apart from that the campsite was lovely, spacious and clean, lovely location and worth visiting.

Great informal site for families, and groups. We visited this site with friends who have a tent (we have a caravan), and we were sited together on a lovely green field site. A refreshing change from the regimented hard standings of other sites!
It was a half term weekend so very busy, but the wardens were fantastic at guiding us to our site personally and very friendly. We loved the informality of this site - it felt like 'proper' camping, where people pitched up on an open field (there were defined pitches, but they were flexible as to orientation and position as long as you weren't too close to your neighbours.)
No rules against ball games, etc, which was great for us with kids, although we did have to ask our neighbours to move away a bit when they were playing footie and kept hitting our car. Fair trade, really.
Our only quibble was the water pressure at the showers - if all fully occupied, at least half of them seemed to reduce to a trickle down the wall, leading to frustrations and long queues at the toilet blocks. I'd give this 4/5, if it weren't for the shower issue.

We have just got back from our second stay at this site this year. We went first at Easter and then again 1st May bank holiday.
The site is clean and tidy. Pitches are a good size. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. They organised a free Easter egg hunt at Easter which was a nice touch. They are easy going and leave you to your own devices. Showers and toilet block kept clean and nice hot showers. Club house does food / drink which was nice.
We'd definitely return again. Water sports on the lake and 2 swimming areas (for the warmer weather!)

Have just returned from this campsite. Despite battling the rain to put up the trailer tent in the rain a great time was had once the sun came out.
On site is a fully stocked shop with food, toys and camping accessories and hot drinks and excellent breakfast rolls, a club house serving both food and drink and a chance to try your hand at many watersports.
We had reserved a pitch but others arriving where able to make a selection from those on offer. A wide selection of pitches available with or without electrical hook up.
Wardens very friendly and helpful getting both on and off a damp and soggy field.
Would return and recommend this site to others.

This site is one of the best we've been to. We have been to several campsites over the years, and this one beat all of them hands down for 1/space 2/facilities 3/ whole site 4/staff. We went with my 8 year old son, who had great fun exploring the site - finding 'his' den etc. The site shop staff were lovely, the shop was very well stocked and reasonably priced. Coffee's/hot chocolate's from there are AMAZING! he he. Anyway, we'll be going back. Thanks for a great break hardwick park!

We have just returned from a 2 night stay - our first experience of camping as a family (wife and I + 2 young children and dog). The staff were very friendly and helpful. They showed us to our pitch on our arrival, which was spacious and the final choice of pitch was up to us.
The facilities were clean and seemed adequate for a Friday night/Saturday morning in August.
The pizzas cooked on site were good quality, but we didn't try the club house.
It's close to Brize Norton, but being a military airfield the flying is intermittent and it shouldn't be a particular concern.
There's a nice walk around the lake within the grounds (approx 30mins) which is good for dog owners.
The campsite was quiet at night and the staff were pretty hot on enforcing the 5mph speed limit on-site to ensure a safe environment for children.
We would certainly recommend this site.

This is the second time we have stayed at Hardwick Parks on the August Bank Holiday. The site is much larger than those which we usually stay at but it still has a nice friendly feeling to it.
Both times we have stayed with another couple and the purpose each time has been to visit the nearby Wychwood Brewery to do a tour and re-stock our supplies as the guys love their beers! We take a lovely rambling countryside walk there and get cabs back and if you get the chance I would thoroughly recommend it.
Hardwick Parks is a really family friendly site, with swimming and water sports on the lake, a club house and a well-stocked shop which provides everything you need as well as some things you don't! The great thing about staying here on the August Bank Holiday is that there is a free fireworks display over the lake and its really nice to have a few drinks whilst watching that.
The toilet and washing up facilities are plentiful and we rarely had to queue although these facilities aren't always the cleanest. This is due I think to the sheer number of people using them but also because of guests not tidying up after themselves and not leaving facilities as they would expect to find them. The staff though are pretty good at clearing up any mess as soon as it is bought to their attention.
The site is near an RAF base which is great if you love watching big planes but not so great for the noise! There are lots of trees on the site which makes it quite picturesque and the surrounding area and villages are just gorgeous with lots of lovely old buildings, pubs, restaurants and independent shops to explore.
A lovely site particularly for groups of friends or families with good facilities in a nice area.

Nice site, a little bigger than we normally prefer, but we were in one of the nature fields, which seemed to be left for tents only and there was a huge amount of space between pitches, as well as some mature trees and bushes to create some privacy. Very friendly and helpful wardens. There only seemed to be one washroom block, but loads of loo's and showers, never had to queue and always hot water. Lots of outside washing up sinks too which makes a change from a lot of sites.
Little shop also onsite and cafe. Plus a club house, although we didn't go in either.
The nearest pub in the village is a good 25-30min walk away, but the beer was worth the trip and it was busy in the restaurant, so a good chance the food is good.
Witney is a lovely little town, Sainsburys and Waitrose on the edge of town and only 5 mins in the car. Noticed a few planes on the Friday, presumably from the nearby base, but didn't take any notice then over the weekend.
Overall, a good site with loads of space, especially if you're in a tent.

We just come back from Hardwick Parks after staying for a weekend. The site is located in a beautiful countryside. It feels spacious, has great lakes for watersports, fishing etc. The shop sells everything that you need and the pizza menu is quite good. Good numbers of toilets and showers which were always clean, however; they are all located by the reception which could be a fair walk depending on your pitch location.
Various leaflets and takeaways menus are available at the reception and staff were very welcoming. The clubhouse is ok for drinks but food and service was not good.
We will come back again but won't be eating in the clubhouse!
