We stayed on this lovely site with 2 other families, kids were a range of ages from 3-18!
Adults and children all loved the water sports that were available.
The people running this area were extremely helpful and friendly.
Ours took part in kayaking, we were allowed to change over whenever so everybody had a turn. They also enjoyed the ringos!
One of our party brought a long a paddle board which you can use, (£20 a day) even offered us extra life jackets and somewhere to store it.
Would definitely recommend the site.

First time at this campsite and we thought it was very nice,
A beautiful pitch under the willow trees and some great walks around the lakes with my dog Scooby.

Noisy. Few facilities, 20p for electricity in the ladies
Although Covid restrictions have been lifted there are still restriction in the toilet/shower block (visited end of Aug 21).
The showers are push button 30 secs then push again, the shower cubicles themselves were clean but there were bits of paper towel and paper on the floor in the block, and the bins were always overflowing.
The clubhouse was closed all the time we were there (tue-thur) no food or drinks,
It's very noisy near reception and toilet block in the evenings with what looks like long stay guests in groups.
Also bikes are permitted so you end up with groups of children sometimes up to 10, cycling quite fast around the site, some with head torches until after dark.
The site is quite large so you can get away from the noise and bikes but you end up a long was from the facilities.
There is no shop on site anymore but Lidl is only 5 mins drive away.
Electricity for hair dryers/straighteners is 20p in the ladies bathroom but only last a couple of minutes.

They accommodated 1 caravan 2 campervans and 2 tents on a level bit at the top of a small hill. Warden positioned all so in a circle as with a couple of other groups. Nice spot.
I had been before and didn't hear the banger racing but on the Sunday there was some, not horrendous but was clearly audible.
Cheap day out for kids though grandson enjoyed it, turned out it was drifting but was fun. They had a cafe which did good bacon rolls and a chipshop in town with good fish and chips.
Only problem was my partner got eaten by mozzies so take repellent.
Would be back

We had a wonderful time. There was no issue with social distancing or using any of the facilities.
The staff were helpful and organised.
We have even booked for the bank holiday in Aug 2021!

Lovely peaceful site with lovely walks,
Pity the facilities had been shut down before the end of the season,
We would have used the on site shop and restaurant if they were open,
Beautiful showers and toilet blocks
