This is our second visit to this lovely site, nice walks past the farmyard and around fields, child-friendly but not loud! Washing up area to be updated thankfully.
We preferred Filey to Scarborough. For Filey there is a country park car-park which leads to the rockier part of the beach (Filey Brigg -good for rock pooling etc) and the main beach car park is better for swings and the sandy beach. Park and ride is great for Scarborough. Morrisons is the nearest supermarket 10 mins away, also lots of farm shops with yummy cakes and local produce. Will be coming back some time in the future.

Stayed in a Wigwam and was very impressed. The site is well maintained and the owners are very friendly. The site has a nice safe feel to it as it is not too large. This meant we were happy for the kids to explore and go to the playground on their own, so everyone was happy.
Heard that the 'porta-loo' type facilities near the playground are to be replaced with a proper wash block. There is currently a washblock up near the entrance which is of a very good standard, and an additional one near the camping area would be great.
The wigwam was very comfortable. The fridge, kettle and microwave were very handy.
We spent the day on the beach at Filey, as the weather was hot and sunny. A lovely traditional seaside town and the beach was large and sandy.
All in all we had a great time and look forward to returning.

We stayed here 1 night at the start of July as an overnighter to do a couple of activities in the area. Saturday was to Scarborough then Sunday to Playdale Farm Park which was really good and only a few miles away.
The site itself was very beautiful, we had pitch number 1 with electric just on the way in and closest to the toilets etc. The grass was very well cared for and level. Electric point very close.
The toilets were clean as were the showers. There are washer/dryers but only 1 sink for washing up.
The play area looks good but we didn't use it ourselves this trip.
Owner very friendly and chatty. The animals were good fun with some pigs, chickens wandering around and some ducks.
We rang and booked the day before and paid with visa card which reserved the pitch. I also rang them to say we were going to be later than planned due to fun and sun at the beach, this was all fine and they gave me the pitch number to just be able to turn up. We weren't much after 6pm anyway.
A very nice campsite and would return anytime.

We have just returned and have already booked to go back again (in one of the Wigwams later in the year), but may well manage another camping trip there before then.
The pitches are good sizes, the play area was great (for two seven year old boys) swings, slide, firemans pole, small tower structure, the toilet block (two toilets and 3 showers) seemed small in terms of numbers, but each shower and toilet were very spacious and always clean, private as well - more like an ensuite than a campsite toilet! I didn't have to queue at all, but my husband did once for the shower. There are also two portaloos right next to the play area which were also very clean.
The fire pits were great, for £8 you get it delivered to your pitch already setup with paper, firelighters and wood, and another trug of wood to keep it going - ours lasted for about 3 hours but it was very windy - could have lasted longer if the wind wasn't so strong that night!
There are two walks around the farm, there are two pigs which can be petted, a duck pond, free range hens and cockerels and two jack russells who are wondering round - they aren't interested in being fussed, but seem to tolerate it well - they just seem to be keeping an eye on what's happening!
It is up a steep bank on a very narrow road and it is a car journey to go anywhere - also no mobile reception, didn't bother us though.
Strangely the shop/reception didn't open until 9am, which is a bit late for breakfast supplies.
We found a lovely pub nearby, unfortunately I can't remember the name, but it was something to do with foxes (had them on its carpet). The meals are huge and the service was excellent.
We had a lot of rain one of the days we were there, apart from a few puddles there wasn't much sign the next day, so drainage must be pretty good. There is white gravel on the paths which was good at night. The paths are well lit at night and there is a light on the electric hook up which is shared between two pitches.

We have just returned from a weekend away on HumbleBee Farm and I have to say what a fantastic time we had. (4 adults, 2 Lively 7 year old boys, a 1 very happy Dog). We arrived Friday after only booking on the Tuesday, pitches right next to each other, very spacious area for tent and car, not crowded like some sites are. Electric hook up was included. Great walks for the dog on the site and little signs all the way round to show where to go. Warm welcome from the owners on arrival. The shower blocks were great, all the family could fit in the 1 cubicle, very clean, we only used the Portaloo on the night, again clean and well looked after. I didn't do the washing up but my Husband said the area was fine, plenty of hot water and again clean. The park is fun for the children, from where we were sited we could watch them play so felt we could relax a bit more. We hired a fire pit on the first night, (what a great idea), a few of the tents had them and it was lovely to see the fires lit up. We had rain the second night and the site was surprisingly only damp the next morning not flooded or soggy underfoot. I would recommend this site to anyone. We will be going again in a few weeks and have also booked a wigwam for October (must look inside these what a great idea). If you are looking for a great place for a meal on an evening just go the Village of Flaxton and go to The Fox Inn ( or something like that) white pub on the main road, great value for money and the meals are fantastic. Overall Great Weekend had by all.

Visited may bank holiday and had a great time. Set in a secluded quite little valley with farm animals a plenty. V friendly owners, good little play park for kids. Showers & toilets v clean and pitches large, fire pits a great idea and used one every night while we were there. The only downside is washing up area (only one & not enough hot water) and toilets / showers v busy at times but this will be much better next year when another toilet block is being built. All in all a cracking little site I would recommend and will definitely be returning to.

We visited over the May Spring Bank Holiday, our tent, plus two others. A lovely little site, well kept and clean, plenty of informative signposts. Our pitch on a bit of a slope but we've been on worse as the site is in a valley. Very friendly and helpful owners. We were pleased to see that there is planning permission for a new toilet block / shower / dishwashing facilities where the current portaloos stand and should be completed 2010. Currently there are only two (unisex) toilets and three showers in the main block (about 5 mins walk from tents). These are kept clean and there is plenty of hot water for the showers.
The current dishwashing facility next to the portaloos is not very good - there is inadequate hot water and only one sink so we were glad to see that this will be rectified by next year as we will definitely be coming back.
Our children had a super time and the play area was safe and was within a short distance from our tent. There is no mobile reception but you can get one if you walk to the top of the adjacent field. You can hire fire pits for £8 which comes with a basket of logs - a good idea. The owners said they are always looking for suggestions / ideas to improve the site. There is a well stocked shop selling the essentials with decent opening times. This is a Camping and Caravanning Club certificated site (which means a maximum of 5 caravans at any one time).

Started with a lovely warm welcome by the owners!
Found my pitch which was very large! Certainly not crammed in! There is a really nice feeling to this relaxed campsite, and will be using this site for many years to come from now on hopefully!
As described in other reviews the main toilet block is a walk away, but I ask myself does it seem so far because it is a small site? I think I have been further away on larger sites but you don't realise it!
To wake up to chickens and hens and the sound of cows about 10ft away from your unit is nature at its best! Then take your kids to see if the chickens have laid eggs on the way for your morning shower is just perfect!
We also hired a fire, this was great fun and warm! Nice location for the East coast resorts! Forgot to mention I have 2 kids and the play ground area was very safe and clean!

We stayed over Easter bank holiday for 3 nights. All together there were three tents in our group. We had a great time and on the Sunday night we paid to have a fire pit which was great.
We have been to this site for the last 3 years and have found it very clean and quite. The farm animals were great and the owners very friendly. Fire pit cost was £8 per night. If you need to wash your clothes one wash was £3 and the tumble dryer was £1.
In the shower block there are two toilets and 3 showers (one is a family size and they have sinks in them) and the hair dryers where free to use. The shower block got busy from around 7am till 9 am and around 4-6pm. In the shower block there is a washing up sink and a information board and leaflet area for ideas on where to go. There is also a wash up area next to the kids playground and a few porto loos which is half way down the camping area.
The reception also stock the basics bread, milk etc which we thought where reasonably price also homemade cakes.

Arrived at lunchtime to a warm welcome by the owners, hens and dogs. There was my parents in one tent and my daughter, husband and I in another. Because we have been before a few times we like a certain pitch and they accommodated this for us as it wasn't busy. We where told that the loos near the play area where going the next day as it was at the end of summer (we only use these at night so on problems there.) We have never had a problem with the hill towards the farm and we had a very overloaded car. The first morning we had a great treat as the cows where on the moving towards the dale which brought all the campers out (in there pj's) taking photo's and all the kids where loving seeing them just over the fence. Showers where lovely and warm, wash up area near the play area was clean.
We had dreadful weather for most of the stay and the pond over flowed one night and next morning the site was a bit soggy but tent area was fine except one and they had a smile on there faces making jokes about it to everyone. One night we had noise from a group across from us which was unacceptable until 4am as it's a family site. So we reported it to the owners in the morning who dealt with it quickly. We love this place and are planning afew more trips in 2009.
