Nice and friendly however there are some downsides to this site, tent pitches are on a slope making it difficult to get a decent nights sleep on sloping air beds.
There is only one shower and one shaving mirror in the mens toilets and one shower in the ladies so be prepared to wait at busy times.
The children's playground is very basic two swings and a slide, it would be nice for a few more play area's or an improved play area with more equipment as there are so many kids on the site.
Apart from that the owners are friendly and the kids enjoyed the farm animal's.

This was an excellent first outing in our campervan and we will keep happy memories from Humble Bee. The site is lovely and we would recommend it to couples and families alike.
We enjoyed the farm walks, the peace and quiet and being 'on the farm'. The facilities were very, very good and the owners of the site were so welcoming and helpful.
It was lovely to see the children involved with feeding the pet lambs and collecting an egg for breakfast. The shop is well stocked with essentials and with lots of local tourist information including special offers for entry to various attractions.
We will return - hopefully when the sunflowers are in bloom.

Humble bee farm is a very family friendly site situated in a small dip in a hill close to Filey. It is a working farm so be prepared to be woken by the various animals on the farm. The approach is up a very steep hill which could be a problem if towing a heavy van. The site is sheltered on three sides. Facilities were clean and of a good standard. Pitches are on a slight slope so don't forget to bring chocks.

Just had a lovely 4 day break at this site, what a wonderful place showers really clean, owners check site all the time.
When we did have a problem with the showers it was dealt with immediately. My daughter loved looking for eggs in the morning.
Pitches are on a bit of a slope, so take blocks to level up, big nice pitches though. Need to look at recycling though, it would be a good idea to have some better facilities near the camping area.
This is a lovely site in a really nice area. Will be coming again

Just spent 4 fantastic nights at Humble Bee!
Our first ever camping trip and we were so lucky that we found this place for our first time. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't have been more friendly, we were allocated our plot number, given some information leaflets and told if we needed any help we only needed to ask.
Our tent is quite a large one but the plot we were allocated was plenty big enough with space at the side to park our car.
The site is beautiful, free range chickens walking around and a duck pond. It is a working farm so plenty of interesting things for the kids to see.
The toilet blocks and kitchen area were clean and I never had to wait for a shower (there are alternative showers near the reception though at busy times)
The day after we arrived the site did start to get a little busier but it was all families with children so there was no rowdiness and everyone was respectful of the site rules and each other.
We took our 9 month old Cocker Spaniel pup with us and he loved it! he got non stop fuss off other campers and loved the long country walks.
The site is rural which we loved. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway at a beautiful location that is only a short drive away from some lovely seaside places (Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Filey) then this site is perfect!
We loved it so much we have booked a full week in July.
The owners and staff should be proud of this site as it really is a little gem!

We have just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay at this farm-the owners are friendly and always around if needed
The toilet/showers were spotless and the wash up area has a microwave and fridge which can be used
We enjoyed looking for eggs and watching the cows/lambs, the farm is in a quiet area but Scarborough/filey can be reached by car within 10 mins-morrisons is also within easy reach
The walks around the farm were good and we will look forward to visiting again!

Spent a weekend here and it was brilliant. The facilities are excellent, they were very clean. The owners were very friendly, nice to see them walking round talking to the visitors. The pitch we were given had a slight incline which is ok for caravans but not really for tents, although we worked round it, more of an inconvenience. It seems they were only using part of the site as it was very early season. Other than this we cannot fault it at all and will be returning in May.

Very nice site with very helpful wardens/owners. We had a caravan & a large tent as there were 8 of us & we were allowed to put them side by side rather than having to split them onto 2 different area's. Plenty for kids to do, lovely play area, collecting the eggs in a morning, watching the farm animals ect.
There were a few niggles however:-
There was no hot water after approx 8am until later on at night. We went out of season & there were only about 6 outfits there so when it is busy I'm not sure if anyone will get hot water. The showers didn't have any shower trays so the water (if you managed to get any hot) ran straight under the door & into the rest of the toilet block. A mop bucket was provided for you to clean up after yourself however.
Due to it being a farm, if the wind was in the right direction, it did get a bit smelly at times.
We were woken very early by the resident cockerel & the cows (about 4.30am in our case)
No phone signal of any kind & bad tv signal if pitched near to the trees
Over all we enjoyed our stay. We would consider it again if we are in that area.

We have just come back from a weekend break in one of humble bee farms wigwams.
What a great experience we have had. We usually camp here, but with it being early march I booked a wigwam for our family.
We were greeted by the owner even though we arrived late.
We found the wigwam had plenty of room for our family of three and enough equipment to cook, chill food and make a warm drink.
On the 1st morning we collected a fresh egg each from the hens for our tea.
The new shower block was nice, clean and enviro friendly and there was plenty of recycle bins so you can do your bit.
Our daughter loved the play area and we loved seeing the sheep, lambs, hens and ducks every morning.
We will be back.

My wife and I recently returned from a very relaxing few days at this very appealing site. Being so early in the season and straight after half term we were fortunate to have the site completely to ourselves.
The site has a new facilities block that provides excellent amenities to all campers. There is only one shower in each of the ladies and gents (which is of a good size). There is a separate disabled / family shower and toilet room (with baby changing facilities).
Additional toilets and showers are available at the side of the camp reception / shop. The block is very clean and well presented. There is a separate wash area (3 sinks) with a small fridge and a microwave (free to use). To one side of the block is a waste disposal point for the caravans.
In front of the toilet block is a very good closed in playground with good climbing / swings and slides-enough to tire out the most active of children (all within a safe environment).
The entire camping area is very well lit during the hours of darkness(although not intrusive to prevent sleep). Each pitch has it's own EHU point if so required. There are also two water supply points.
I suspect the wigwams could be fun-each with their own space / picnic table and gas BBQ.On talking to the owners; I understand there is to be greater development of the site providing more wigwams and greater space to the pitches (This site has not yet reached it's full potential-but the owners are keen to ensure that it does).
Due to the quiet/early season the shop had not yet been stocked of the essentials - although we were offered eggs / bacon etc. I have no doubt we only had to ask for something and it would have been provided.
The site is a perfect base camp for all beaches from Brid to Whitby. Not more than half hour drive to Dalby forest / Goathland Heartbeat) and many other North Yorks attractions.
It is only a ten minute drive to Morrisons in Scarborough or Tesco's in Filey. However I would recommend the local farm shops. There is an excellent bakery and Trotters farm shop on the A64 York road. Also a cracking local butchers as you drive into Seamer.
The owners of the site provide a fire pit and logs (£8) - so why not enjoy a great steak and support the local farms.
If you choose to stay at this site;please be warned that it is a working farm.In my view making for a greater camping experience. If you take the time;there is substantial wildlife to be spotted.
I would have to give 9 1/2 out of 10 to this site as it is still developing - but in the right direction.
Both my wife and I look forward to staying here again
