I found this site on UKCampsite.co.uk and it looked perfect for a weekend away.
The approach to the farm gives a great first impression being clean and tidy, the whole farm is in a valley so well away and out of sight from roads and passers by.
There are good facilities and the toilet blocks are clean.
The farm is a working one and has animals to be seen and petted.
All this said it is £26 per night for a caravan, is it worth it? Definitely not.
The only other gripe was the fact that there are signs everywhere saying dogs on lead at all times but the owners little terriors were free to roam.
All said and done its a nice site but expensive.

1st lets get the negative point out of the way.
No mobile/3G receiption or WiFi.
Positives.
Open all year round. Quiet, sheltered, shower blocks very clean (hot water for washing can run low at times, but you are warned). Plenty of room to let kids off the lead. Very good for family/social groups. Not far from Scarborough/Filey/Bridlington for beaches/shops/etc. Easy to get too, the hill from the main road is a bit steep, but the roads in all directions are good
Very friendly owners/staff, without being too pushy.
A farm shop during the season; Tesco/Morrisons <10mins.
This was our first outing in a new caravan (1st outing in a caravan for 10years!) after 4 years in a tent. As the site is in it's own valley, the pitches are on a bit of a slope and the ground was a little soft: too a couple of goes to level.
The site is highly recommended and we will go back later in the season.

This is by far one of the best campsites we have been to, the facilities are clean and all the staff on the site are extremely helpful.
The hire of the fire bins is a really nice perk, we enjoyed sitting up into the small hours round our fire watching the clear night sky.
We were given a tour of the working farm which was also nice to see all the animals, local shops are a small drive away.
I would strongly recommend this site!

We stayed in a wigwam for a week at Humble bee farm, it was amazing. The wigwams have everything you could need, microwave fridge toaster kettle and BBQ. They are warm and Cosy
Now I have raved about the toilet block since we got back, I have never seen toilets so clean, It didn't matter what time you went in they were immaculate. For this reason alone I would not hesitate in returning
There was a lovely little shop on site selling bacon eggs etc and had leaflets on local attractions, staff always helpful and friendly. The fact it Is in the middle of nowhere and you can't get a phone signal is just what we wanted.
Try a wigwam they are brilliant

I just wanted to simply say we had a fab FAB time at Humblebee.
The kids, the adults, everyone had a fantastic time at this unique and amazing campsite.
We felt completely secure and safe knowing the kids were fine to be left to roam around and play by themselves within the site.
Julia and Faith made us absolutely welcome and very much projected the fact that they cared about their special campsite as well as wanting everyone to have the right kind of experience.
Loads of animals strutting around (mainly away from the kids), superbly well thought out site, clean & tidy.
All in all a really friendly genuine campsite; which was shown by how friendly all the other campers were to each other :)
Have fun - just don't think you can compete and show off a better plumage than the resident cockerel!

Hi just spent two nights at humble bee and would highly recommend! the pitches large enough to accommodate big tents(8-10 berth) the only prob some are on a slope!
Very friendly and helpful some activities to keep most people happy.
Showers and toilets where very good and very clean and plenty of them.
Great location for walks or going to the seaside which is about 15 mins away (Scarborough or Filey).
Pets are welcome but they ask want type they are as it is a working farm and they have three dogs themselves.
All in all would highly recommend!
Cant wait to go again !

Myself (29) and my brother (20) visited Humble Bee Farm for 2 nights. We came here specifically for the fire pits which I wish more places did which really does add that extra atmosphere.
The place itself is very nice, tidy, immaculately clean. The lady who greeted us was very nice and pleasant. Being a young man with what I would imaging to be more flexible tolerance to a bit of dirt/germs compared to that of a woman, I would be hard pushed to find even a woman would not find the toilet, shower, washing up facilities more than acceptable.
There is a moderate open grassy area and woodchip playground area which I didn’t experience myself by the kids seemed to be well away.
Very good for families, not very 'rock and Roll' for a couple of young men. There isn’t anything immediately beyond the site itself without a long walk or a good drive. But I have no bad words for my experience here.

Just returned from 4 night stay at Humble Bee with friends and LOVED IT!
3 adults and 4 children, (then joined by 2 adults and 1 child who stayed in a wigwam).
The children had a fantastic time and when we were on site they were never bored with animals to meet, eggs to collect (free! one egg per child), fields to roam and trees to climb.
The campsite is also nicely located for a short drive to Filey and Scarborough beach. It sits in a sort of valley so there are a few hills to explore.
Facilities were very clean and there were indeed numerous showers which we never had to queue for and were big enough to accomodate myself and children in the room, and lock the door. Plenty of toilets. The tumble dryer came in very useful after our first day of rain on the beach.
On site shop sold enough produce (inc hot drinks) to keep us going with the basics (eggs, bacon, bread, milk, etc)as well as being packed full of local information.
Staff were very helpul and friendly and went out of their way top help us when needed. Faith in the reception was lovely.
Humble Bee is linear and we were pitched at the very bottom where it was flat and private and still not too far from the toilets and showers.
Also is a fridge for customer use which is very helpful. They will also freeze your freezer packs for you too.
Watch out for the wasps though! Obviously not a fault of the campsite or owners but both my daughter and friend were stung.
Fish-n-chip van visits couple of times a week and there was an organised 'Mini - beast walk' for the over 7's one evening which was nice.
Overall, would definitely return and happy to recommend.

We have just returned from a weeks ehu camping here and in my daughters words it is one of the best campsites we have ever visited. The Humble Bee Team were very helpful and always had time for you. The location of the site certainly makes you feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere but at the same time you are within easy reach of Filey and Scarborough.
The toilet/washing facilities were second to none and were always clean even during wet weather. There was a shower in the toilet block area near the camping area and also a family shower room which was very spacious and I can imagine that it would be very useful for someone with a bigger family. We prefered to use the showers up by reception as it seemed everyone 'forgot' they were there so there was never any queuing. My daughter enjoyed the play area and made many friends. As a family we enjoyed the two walks that were sign posted around the farm and it's fields. The children can collect free range eggs from the chickens. There are also geese, ducks and 2 goats. If you do visit I would recommend hiring a fire pit. It cost £8 and the wood supplied with it lasted us about 2 hours. Plenty of time to sit round it and enjoy toasting marshmallows.
The shop at reception was stocked with essentials, bacon, bread, milk, toys etc. My daughters favourite purchase was her bow and arrow. She soon mastered the skill and proved to be quite the markswoman. A chip van visits the site on a Tuesday and Thursday evening. On a Saturday and Sunday morning between 8. 30am and 9. 30am Julia the owner cooked bacon sandwiches which you could purchase along with a hot drink. This came in useful on our last day as it meant we could buy breakfast before putting the tent down.
If you do visit this campsite during 'wasp season' I would recommend purchasing a rather large tin of 'Raid' as they can be quite a nuisance. I would definitely recommend this campsite and do intend to return.

This is a get away from it all site set within a little valley adjacent to the farm, whilst being 15 minutes from Scarborough.
The WCs and showers are clean but fairly basic.
The vast majority of people there all went for the same reason so it had a very friendly atmosphere. The farmer hires out fire pits complete with logs so many people sat out around their fires with a glass of wine in hand.
For the kids the ducks and hens are of great interest and they can eat the free range eggs if they can find them.
The little shop is surprisingly well stocked.
Given the degree of space available, the pitches are somewhat cramped when you enter the site proper, if these were thinned out a bit the site would be pretty near perfect.
One note of caution is how to approach the site. Do not approach it from the south the road is narrow, windy and steep. Although the road from the main York Filey road is somewhat steep it is much wider, and far shorter.
A great place to chill.
