What a lovely site, we got their late due to accident on the motorway, anyway when we got their we just managed to put the tent up befor it when went dark, then a light came on at the fence, this is a good thing as we still had a bit to do to tent.

Anyhow we found it to be a lovely site and very friendly all round.

The toilets were lovely and clean, the only problem here is that kids play area is next to the toilets and the kids are in and out of them all day.

They have also put the sinks for cleaning your plates and that which is also next to kids play area.

The other toilets and shower rooms are brilliant and very tidy. They are near the shop down the side of it.

The town is not far away and it is very nice(took us around 15 times going around town trying to find tescos, got their in the end)

The site is in a deep valley and signal is very hard to get.

Their was lights all the way down the site on the fence and the clean water was right next to our tent and electric was near the tent as well.

This is a great site for kids and the animals around is nice as well, their is a shop on the site (sorry I found it deer as a pint of milk was £1 did not shop their again) their is a walking path which goes round the farm and is marked up with signs.

P.S try the log fire's they have and take some treats to cook on them, well worth it and very nice at night why having a few drinks. They last for around 3 hours.

This is a lovely site and would go back again

We left Humble Bee Farm after spending 6 lovely nights there.

We loved every minute of our stay. The dramatic hill climb to the track entrance is amazing, ears always popped on the way back down! The setting is beautiful, you cannot see the farm from the road - just rolling hills, this makes the site seems very safe and secure when you are taking young children.

The owners are lovely, you get a nice welcome and directed to your pitch and then you are left alone.

You then get to drive by the chickens, ducks, pigs and the lovely Jack Russells who are freely roaming (not the pigs obviously!) on the way to your pitch.

The pitches are a lovely size, all with electric. The water tap is not far away as is the wash up area and portaloos. The main shower block is a walk up to the reception area but its only a couple of minutes away and a pleasant walk past all of the animals again. There are plans on the wall of the wash up area showing what it will be like next year, showers, loos and baby change area (replacing the existing wash up and portaloos). Our pitch was not completely flat but it didn't hinder our stay.

There is a lovely children's play area and as I said previously, you feel very secure and kids were to'ing and fro'ing as they pleased.

In the evenings you can hire a fire pit for £8 including the logs, we didn't but they looked lovely and they throw out a lot of heat.

The site is only 5 miles out of Filey, which is beautiful. We also visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Whitby and Bridlington as they are all only a matter of minutes away. My favourite has to be Robin Hoods Bay, simply breathtaking but the whole area is gorgeous.

There is a Morrisons supermarket 5-10 minutes away in the car towards Scarborough and a great little Somerfield in Filey.

The weather wasn't kind to us for a couple of days but the site didn't suffer, there were no boggy puddles anywhere.

We will definitely go back to Humble Bee Farm if we go back to that part of the world again, which I am certain will will. I had a few sites in my 'virtual brochure' and I did check out a few while we were out and about but nothing compares to Humble Bee.

We originally booked for 5 nights but loved it so much we booked another night the day before we were due to leave.

If you don't fancy taking a tent/caravan - check out the 4 wooden wigwams they have there. They look really cosy!

My husband, our 7year old and myself went on our first week long camping holiday, and are we pleased we chose Humble Bee! Everything about the site, the location, the facilities are excellent. The owners john and julia are lovely and very helpful, they keep the campsite spotless, the toilets and showers too! Our son had the best holiday ever as he was able to go and play on the park with his new friends without us breathing down his neck! It was that safe and secure on the site. I cannot recommend this site enough, its only 10 mins from morrisons, 5 miles into lovely Filey, 10mins to the park and ride into Scarborough. We shall indeed return!

We booked a wigwam on this site ( Whitby Abbey ) for one week. These are a fantastic alternative to tents, inside is a microwave, kettle, fridge and toaster. They easliy sleep two adults and two children. The farm itself is great there is a lovely play area for the children. The Toilet and Shower facilities are amongst the cleanest I have ever seen on a campsite! The site has plans to put another set of toilets and showers for next season ( 2010 ) which is much needed as it is a trek from the wigwams and top field to the Showers in the middle of the night! We had a fantastic week here and we wish we could have stayed longer we will definitely go back to this site wether it is in the wigwams again or in our tent.

The farm is a working farm, they have a number of chickens wandering around the yard and a couple of very friendly pigs in a pen next to the duck pond they love having some attention!

We spent three of our days here on the beach at Filey, part of the beach allows dogs onto it,even though it is a dog friendly beach it is very clean and does get very busy! The park at the top of the beach is a great place to sit and relax and dry off!

We also spent a couple of days at Scarborough which again is a lovely town with plenty to do a trip to the park in north bay is well worth it! There is so much to do around this area you will never be short of a day trip!

We would highly recommend Humble Bee for families, our two children loved every minute of their holiday and didn't want to come home.

Thank you Julia and Percy for another wonderful 3 weeks summer holiday. Coming from Portsmouth (8 hours towing a caravan) we hoped we had picked a good site - we had, that's why we came back!

We were there last year and the kids voted to go back this year. Plenty to do within the area. Scarborough, Filey, York less than 1 hour away, Pickering. Steam Train at Pickering, sandy beach at Filey - oh so much to see and do and we still haven't done everything!

I had the feeling of coming home this year. Julia and Percy are really welcoming and helpful.

The toilets/showers are always clean and very private. The large shower is great and easily can fit 1 adult and 2 kids in. There is also laundry facilities. I look forward to seeing the new additional toilet block when we return in the future.

The play area is great. My 4 kids love it and made many friends. We also met some people who were there last year too as well as some new friends.

The animals around the farm kept us all entertained, ducks, guinea fowl, chickens, lovely silkies, pigs and of course Charlie and Spot the dogs. My kids enjoyed learning where eggs came from and regularly checked to see if one had been laid.

Last year we had lots of rain, which did drain very quickly, this year has been wonderful sun.

We sat at the top of the drive watching the shooting stars this year. It was also nice to see Percy harvesting, a true farmer.

Most pitches have plenty of room with lights on the hook up. The site is always clean and tidy.

No mobile phone coverage but I think that is great - you only get reception at top of the drive where you can chat whilst looking over rolling hills (what an issue!) If you need anything 'googled', just ask, and Julia is always obliging. The shop is well stocked including marshmallows for toasting over the fire pit you can hire complete with wood for a good 3 hours of burning.

The steep road upto the site is an issue but with a good towcar and taking it slowly, it should never be a problem!

We have just got back from 4 nights at this site and I have to say it was such a nice site, the kids loved it. There was 2 adults and 4 children. There was a lovely park that the kids spent ages on and made new friends. The toilet and shower block was very clean they were cleaned a few times a day which was great. At the minute there is only 3 showers but I never had to queue for 1, but by next spring there will be another new block that is going to be started very soon and it will also have more washing up facilities. The children loved the animals and in the morning they would go and see if the chickens had laid any eggs for breakfast. I would recommend this site and we can not wait to go again!

We have just returned from Humblebee Farm after a six night stay. The site is very clean and the owners are friendly. We saw two pigs on site, three ducks, six ducklings, friendly chickens and cockrels as well as two jack russels. The children are allowed to see if they can find an fresh egg each morning, which my son enjoyed. He found five eggs during our six night stay. There is a shower / toilet block which was kept very clean. There was only three showers, but this didn't cause any problems, the longest we had to wait was around five minutes. There is a washer and dryer in the shower block. There is a park for the children which kept them entertained and because the site was away from the main road, we felt comfortable to let our 8 year old go of on his own during the daytime as it felt very safe. There was a facility for freezing your freezer packs. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Humblebee Farm and we will return ourselves. The site is very pretty.

Thank you Humble Bee Farm for a wonderful holiday, we came to stay with you from 10th - 13th July with 4 other families and had the most wonderful weekend staying in warm, comfortable wigwams (basically a wooden construction with a large bed area that you can put your own sleeping bags or quilt on and sleep 2 adults plus several small children, we even fitted a cot in! Also had microwave, small fridge and freezer compartment, heater, storage space and gas BBQ).

We were very lucky with the weather and were able to sit out until late having BBQ food around our fire pit, which was delivered to us with a supply of wood for a small charge.

The whole site was immaculate and even the portaloos were OK! Everyone was very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The children loved seeing the animals and it was lovely to wake up surrounded by cows (behind fences) on our last day.

The park was ideal for our children(7, 4 and 1) and because the site is quite small it felt very safe too. The shower facilities were the best I have ever used on a campsite, you literally get the use of a whole bathroom, rather than one cold shower cubicle, which is brilliant with small children.

There is lots to keep children entertained in the area, although we only managed a few. The beach at Cayton Bay (a surfers beach down a steep path - not for the faint hearted!) is great once you manage to reach the sand, there are rock pools and good waves. Scarborough itself is a real seaside experience with donkey rides and fresh cockles.

We would definitely visit again. Thank you

First ever visit to Yorkshire and we all had a great time. Although the weather was not great our pitch stayed in great condition and had no problems with the overnight rain that we had and all pitches are on grass.

Toilets / showers were always nice and clean and with the new block being built near kids play area this will make things ever better for next year.

The pitches for the tents were all numbered and even with our large tent there was still plenty of room to park our car next to it.

The whole area on the farm was always clean and tidy. Was always quiet at night and very relaxing after a day out sight seeing

Small shop to get anything you needed i.E. Milk - eggs - drinks and any info of the area. Filey - Whitby - Robin Hoods Bay - Scarborough - Bridlington - Pickering are all less than 30 miles away which makes this an ideal base.

Excellent pub in Flixton was called the Foxhounds (I think) massive portions for a reasonable price.

We had a fantastic weekend away at this brilliant campsite. We were so impressed that we will definitely be going again next year with more friends!

The children loved it and I felt happy knowing they were safe as it is quiet enough and safe for them to run around and go to the park on their own.

The showers were clean and hot water was plentiful.

The kids also loved the farm element.

Sitting out with a fire pit was lovely after a day at the beach and wood can also be bought from just down the hill if you take your own fire pit. It was £8 to hire a pit with wood all delivered to your 'door'! Brilliant!
