Humble Bee is a friendly campsite hidden in a valley at the top of a (pretty steep) hill. It is the smallest we have stayed at and we had a lovely time. The kids playpark was well equipped and suitable for a good range of ages. The washing up sink is right next to the play park, which makes it easy to keep an eye on activity at the same time. The toilet block is clean and well lit and there are also portable toilets near the playpark. The pitch was a good size, although a bit sloping. The children loved collecting eggs in the morning - warm, freshly laid eggs were a first for us! My boys loved the free-range chickens, ducks and dogs!
The pitches are in a long line so it is possible for people without children to escape the noise of the playpark if they want.
We enjoyed visiting Scarborough, especially the Sea Life centre and we LOVED Cayton Bay beach (not as easy to get to as the main beaches)
This was an easy, unintimidating camp site, the owners were friendly and accessible. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good base for a simple camping holiday.

Another great visit and we took two other parties with us who loved it too. The playground is a great addition from last year. Owners remembered us from last year which is always nice. Very clean toilets and shower rooms. We love it as its very peaceful. We might hire a fire pit next time to get the full old fashioned camping experance. Reception stocks and range of food items (milk, fresh eggs, meat and snacks)
Just remember to book well in advance for the hoilday times (we forgot and will have to miss out on camping there at bank holiday) but we will be back as soon as we can.

Weve just returned from Humble Bee farm. It was our first time camping and thoroughly enjoyed it.
What a lovely week we've had! The weather was brilliant and so was the site. We originally booked for four days and ended up staying for seven :)
The pitches are very spacious, fantastic play area and very friendly atmosphere and nothing was to much trouble for the owner.
The showers and toilet block was kept to a very high standard with constant hot water.
Spot and charlie (two jack russells) are so lovely , everyday spot would come down to see us and lie outside our tent with us :) and the visits from the chickens were great too. Our children loved it and the cows in a morning were a pleasure to watch.
I would highly recommend this camp site to all my friends - as I did and they turned up and you were very accommodating and let them pitch up right next to us which was much appreciated.
Will definitely be returning next year :)

Just back from a 2 night stay. Nice area and a good experience camping on a farm. Good park, kids loved it and couldnt wait to collect eggs from chicken houses. Good size pitch, well lit at night. The toilet and showers were clean but a trek up to them from campsite. Toilet at campsite was a portaloo which was smelly and only one pot wash.

We have just come back from a 5 day stay there, we found the owners to be very friendly and helpful.
The toilet blocks were clean bit of a treck to get to them though
There was always plenty of hot water available in the washing up area.
The childrens play area was fantastic and our daughter loved playing on the park and seeing the animals that were around espically the two dogs.
The only main downside was no mobile phone signal.
The actual site was lovely though.

This is a great site. We have been there the last 2 years and are going back this year. The owners and their family are so friendly as are the dogs. The kids love all the animals, apart from when the cows waken you up at 4 am mooing, lol. New showers were finished when we were there last year and no problem with queues, although the site was busy. Looking forward to seeing the new play park and patio area this year.
Kids and pets are also made welcome at this site and there are great walks up the fields. Kids love being so close to the combining.

Just back from a week at Humble bee farm, we went with our 3 children in a touring caravan and our first touring caravan holiday! This site was MARVELOUS, toilets/showers very clean and constant hot water, it had everything we could of asked for and more, Kids loved the park and animals, it was a very quiet and relaxing site. Each touring area was very spacious.
The owners of the site were fantastic, the shop was small but well stocked.
Site was central to everywhere and only a 10min drive from Hunmanby where they had a co-op & many little village shops/pubs.
Would Highly Recommend this lovely site to anyone & everyone, WILL book for 2009.

It was our first visit to Humble Bee farm with friends that we met whilst camping 2 years ago. The campsite was very clean and relaxing. (Rather Blustery and cold for the time of year) The shop and toilet block were excellent, the owners were very obliging and you could have a look round the farm at any time. There were new calves that had been born. We braved the snow and winds and had a good time by travelling to nearby places. We would recommend this campsite to anybody and we will be going back again. There is a play area for the children which kept them entertained on site.
A couple of things we found were the showers/toilets would benefit from heating. Also there was only one washing up area (could do with one more and possibly under cover completely in case of adverse weather conditions).

We have just visited Humble bee farm with some friends. Found the campsite to be a very quiet peaceful site. The campsite is very well run, my daughter and our friends son liked the different animals that could be found there.
There are just one or two little niggles barely worth mentioning really.
1. You lose all mobile phone signals when entering the site, but the site are willing to let you leave their number with your relatives who will then contact you if they ring the site. Very helpful.
2. There is no heating in the shower wash area this makes the washroom a bit cold especially when we went in March.
But overall a very nice site and yes we will be going back. The 2 little faults are not really an issue, would recomend the site to anybody who wants a nice peaceful and quiet site.
