Great location - nice views of surrounding hills, small village with plenty of amenities within 5 mins walk. Riverside footpath accessible direct from campsite - handy for walking the dog. Take care in wet weather however - after much rain the river broke its banks and flooded the footpath and surrounding fields - didn't affect the campsite though.
There are 2 pubs in Cononley. One (the New Inn) serves food. This was a great little pub, very friendly atmosphere, pool table etc. One of the friendliest pubs I've been in. The food was good too.
The only drawback of this site was the washroom facilities - in a cold, draughty and rather tatty breeze block outbuilding. The shower was 50p for just 5 mins, though the water was hot and plentiful during that time.
Only one shower and 2 loos in the ladies. The hand-drier had fallen off the wall and was balanced precariously on one of the sinks, along with all the bits of plaster that had come out of the wall with it. It was like that when we arrived and was still like that when we left.
The washroom was not cleaned at all throughout the whole weekend - though it wasn't busy so it wasn't a disaster. At £18 a night, we thought this was Not On, however.
A large 'sand pit' area with plenty of kid's toys would have catered for younger children, but there was nothing to entertain older children (though the park in the village has a skate park etc). Not sure I'd like all that sand in my campervan / caravan / tent, though!
I don't think I'd go back to this site until they sort out their washrooms and cleaning regime!

Lovely site, some construction still going on but we went in Jan and the owners are hoping all will be finished very soon.
Find your own pitch and the owners will come to you. Pitches are numbered and have plenty of room, lots of play toys and area for kids,
For those who like to walk you can get into Skipton by following the river about 3 miles or catch the train (every 20mins) almost on the doorstep (most trains are electric so not much noise)
The local shop and two pubs are within 300yards, would recommend.

We stayed here for two nights campsite was basic but clean, shower cost 50p for 5 mins but was worth it.There was two pubs and a chinese 5 minutes walk away.
We went to skipton market by train, trains running every ten minutes train station was also few miutes walk away. Would definitely go here again ideal for young family had a sandpit with lots of toys etc for children to play with there was also horses near by.
Campsite had lovely walks around you could go on a very enjoyable weekend with friends

We have just come back from a 2 night stay at this site (Fri/Sat) and I have to say what a joy it was! Although facilities are fairly basic having only 1 shower and 2 toilets each for male and female and a few sinks for dishwashing, the location more than made up for it! There is a small play area for children (younger ones) filled with trikes, push alongs etc. My kids loved this but as already said it is set on sand which after rain is very messy so be prepared for lots of clothes changes! The site owner met us on arrival and showed us to our pitch and couldn't have been more helpful! The site is set within stunning scenery, yet only a few miles from Skipton where there is loads to do, places to eat etc. We will definitely be returning next year!

Stayed at this site August Bank Holiday weekend, the owners very very friendly and approachable, the site was clean and tidy and although the site was busy with tents caravans and motor homes it was quiet after 11.00pm, no rowdy behaviour or loud music! On our arrival the owner rebuked a driver for going over five miles an hour on site which I thought was justified as small children don't expect to get hit by a car in a field!
Nice long lush grass made sleeping on the ground more enjoyable than some sites which are hard and strewn with stones. I know previous comments refer to the toilets and showers but I never queued for the toilet or the shower and found them to be clean considering the volume of people staying on the site! At £23.00 for five of us for two nights I think this site is excellent value for money, and is ideally situated for exploring Yorkshire. I would definitely return to this site and recommend it to my friends

What a great site, pitches were a good size the owners were very friendly and helpful. The toilet and shower block a downfall for us we thought, although the owners tried to keep on top of it and keep it clean the site was quite full and soon became muddy due to the wet weather. Only one shower ladies and a 50p charge for 5 mins, which wasn't too bad didn't mind paying it, but you just couldn't get in unless you showerd about 3pm after that it got busy again.
Just 5 minute walk to railway station and village, two pubs a Cantonese and a small shop. We would love to stay again if they upgraded the toilet and shower block and put more toilets and showers in. Although we didn't have children with us they did have a big sand play area for them and the children did seem to be enjoying it. The surrounding area and the views are very beautiful.

Stayed in the on site caravan for 1 week. Caravan was spotlessly clean.
Fantastic site and views to die for. Owners were so nice and couldn't do enough for you.
Site was well maintained and looked after and it was lovely to wake to the sound of sheep and horses in the next field.
The only negative point we had was the toilets and showers. They were clean but dated and there were only 2 toilets per gender and 1 shower per gender.
Would definitely come back again and highly recommend this site.

A lovely site in close proximity to the 2 village pubs, shop, takeaway and children's playground.
The site was quite when we visited which made the facilities more than adequate. The toilets, shower and washing up areas were all clean and well lit at night.
The kids loved the sand area (although be prepared for their clothes to be stained as it's builders sand) and the large field for them to run around in and play games.
Excellent value for money at £12.50 per night for the 4 of us. Will definitely be returning soon.

What a gorgeous site! Located in a lush valley only 5 mins drive from Skipton. The owners are very friendly and the site is neat and tidy. It is surrounded on all sides by fields with sheep and horses etc so a real countryside feel to it.
The site wasn't full (although was getting near to)when we visited but due to large pitches it won't be cramped when it is. Plenty of space for kids to play, well equipped playground and a large field for ball games. Toilet facilities fine and plenty of sinks for washing up.
The railway line is close to the site but does not cause much noise and is great when the steam trains come along, perfect for train-spotters!
The village of Cononley is quiet and has two nice pubs, post-office, large playground for kids and a chinese take-away.
Train station is 5 mins walk away and trains run every 15 mins, Skipton is the next stop on the line and takes approx 5 mins. Plenty to do in Skipton and 2 large supermarkets for shopping for supplies.
All in all a super site for the price and we have already booked to return for the bank holiday weekend.

This is a great place to visit if you want to be in the heart of the countryside as well as getting easy access to the towns. Easy train links very near by. Great pub food a short walk away.
The camp site is clean and tidy with lots of foot paths. My only negative comment would be the one shower in the mens area! Not good when the site was full at the weekend. Apart from that a great place to stay.
