Cononly is a nice little village, the 2 pubs welcolm children and dogs. We did not eat at the pubs but I was informed the food was good.
The camp site is good, there is only 3 showers but on a near full campsite I never had to wait for a shower. Showers cost 50p for 5 minutes and 40p for 4 minutes, but are hot and powerful. There are 4 pot washing sinks and 8 toilets in total.
The sand pit for little kids is great, but my children aged 14 and 12 were a little bored, but teenagers usually are. There is a great park over the road from the site which has a skate park and zip wire.
There is an excellent 3.5 mile walk along the canal just off the road into cononly, which takes you into Skipton where you can enjoy a great meal in the Royal Shepherd pud on canal st, dogs and kids welcolm.
We caught the train back to cononly at a cost of £1.60 for adults and 80p for kids (dogs free, bonus) the trains run every 15 minutes. Great site for exploring different areas in north yorkshire.

We visited this site as our 'first' camping trip as a family (consisting of my hubby, my 15 month old son and myself).
Owner was pleasant and available on phone for any questions/queries.
Pitch: We had plenty of choice (not there on bank hols etc though), flat and decent sized.
Facilities: Adequate - Separate male and female toilets plus 3 showers (1 in female area -2 cubicles for anyone's use). Clean and tidy (were cleaned daily after morning 'rush').
Pot washing sinks (x3).
Also fridge and freezer for general use.
Only negative really was no larger family space to wash the little one-we utilised a large pot washing sink and our washing up bowl!
Little one loved the sand pit play area! Pity it was wet weather most of the time but luckily took plenty of changes of clothes for him.
Locality: 5 min walk from general store and X2 pubs- both serve warm meals, we ate in the New Inn, v.Nice meals!
5 mins from train station which is 4 min ride to Skipton costing £1.75 return per adult (can also get to Leeds and Bradford).
Overall: Excellent value for money - definitely a site we would use again.

This was our first ever camping trip, 2 adults and 2 young children. I don't have anywhere to compare this place to but I thought it was amazing. We rang the owners when we arrived and they told us whereabouts we could pitch, they turned up about and hour or so later, very friendly and helpful.
The campsite itself is lovely, the location is fabulous - the village itself is great, playground, pub, train station and shop all within a 5 minute walk. Had a meal at the New Inn, good value for money and the sirloin steak was excellent. Shop, although small was well stocked and reasonably priced.
Facilities seemed more than adequate, showers nice and hot, fridge and freezer free to use as well. There are lots of pitches to choose from, we picked a EHU near the kids playground.
The only issue I can pick up on is the train line which is very close, and noisy at night. It rained 2 nights though and this did drown out the noise! It wouldn't stop me from going back there though or recommending the site.

Cannot fault this site, flat pitches plenty of room decent shower/toilet block, friendly owners superb views.
Nice little play area for kids, bigger park in village 2 mins away. Train only 2 mins walk away £4.25 return to skipton for 2 adults 1 child, cheaper than driving and quicker.
2 pubs a shop and chinese takeaway in village. We even had a curry delivered to pitch from a nearby takeaway.
We will definitely be going back again

Just got back from a great 3 night stay.
There seemed to be new additional toilets and an extra shower wet room than some previous reviews would suggest, which were always clean. Plenty of wash up facilities and the showers were definitely worth the 50 p.
Although it seemed to be fully booked you never felt crammed. The scenery was lovely.
The play areas was great for younger children mine are 4 and 7 but they also enjoyed the village playground which seemed fairly new and would suit older children.
Only saw owners briefly but seemed really friendly.
The village itself seemed really nice although we didn't eat out. Handy shop, couple of pubs and take away.
Hope to go back soon.

We were very pleased with the level of the camping field, we are part of a group of family and friends who like to camp together 3 times a year, we have tents, caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents, all were pitched with ease and the site accommodated all of us. We usually have about 15 pitches. The site owners we very helpful and friendly. The toilet block and showers were good. Plenty of room. The play ground was great for our younger children and we felt safe in letting them play there. We are hoping to book again in the near future.

Just back today from this excellently run campsite. The location is great with superb views. Being Easter weekend and fantastic weather the site was full to capacity but the facilities coped very well.
The owners worked extremely hard to ensure that the toilets and bins were clean and emptied at all times of the day/night.
It was mostly families and groups with large tents camping but there was plenty of space between pitches and room for little ones to play.
Cononley is a lovely little village with two good pubs, an excellent village store and a Chinese takeaway. The trains leave the village station every 15 mins and its a 5 minute trip to Skipton. Much easier and cheaper than driving there.
We were a group of 12 in four tents and would happily stay here again though probably outside public holidays as everywhere is busy.

We have just come back after staying in a tent first time campers with two girls and I cannot fault the site at all. Owners are so friendly helpful they worked really hard to keep all the site clean and tidy. The pub called THE NEW INN where we had an evening meal was value for money good menu good choose of beer wine and all staff were very friendly and families with children of all ages were made very welcome. The shop was well stocked and very reasonable priced. The site was full but we had space to move. We will be telling our friends about this site and we will be back. The park in the village was clean busy with all ages of children having fun and it was safe and only two minutes walk. The train station was also a great way to get about prices were cheap.

What can I say about this site, it was fantastic, we stayed for three nights. When we arrived we rang the owners and they said pitch where you want, will be there soon, and they were. You could not wish to meet better people, they were so very friendly.
The site has a lovely play area for little kids plenty of room for them to play full of little bikes and stuff. The toilets and shower were spotless. It cost 50 pence for a shower for five mins, nowt wrong with that, great stuff.
The views looking over the fields were great. There is a pub not far from the site about five mins away. We will be going back, we would recommend this site to anyone

Brill weekend, wonderful views, owners were very helpful, even borrowed me an axe for my firepit
Toilets and showers were very clean, but could do with a few more at busy periods. But all in all a great weekend
Small young childs playground, but a better one just over the road from campsite for older children with basketball court, football field, skateboard park, zip wire, swings and slides
2 good public houses, both do meals
