We had a lovely weekend at this site, and I have to admit the facilities were better than we expected for the price that we paid. The views were spectacular and the owners were really friendly.
We visited one of the local pubs (The New Inn) a couple of times with our 2 children - we were all made to feel very welcome and the selection of real ales was great! There is a nice little beer 'courtyard' out the back - not advertised anywhere but it's there.
We also visited the newly re-opened Chinese take away in the same village where the owners couldn't have been friendlier.
The play area on site was a bit of a let down for my son of 10, as it really only caters for very small children, but there is a park within 2 minutes walk in the village that did the trick - and there is a ball field on the site that was perfect for cricket/rounders or just generally letting off steam.
Overall the site was a hidden gem, and we wil definitely be returning.

Once again this camp site has been a good place to visit, we came to the same one as last year.
With a group of lads and dads which is ideal as they have a big playing field for kids to run and play games as well as a kids play area / sand pit and well maintained park in the village with a football pitch, just a few mins walk from the camp site.
The first time we came to this camp site there was a chinese in the village which delivered to the site but sadly it has been shut down. But if you look around there's menus dotted about the toilets and wash area.
There's a couple of nice pups in the village the railway does not do food but the pub up the road does. But they do not serve food all day so do check the times.
The camp site is peaceful even though it has a railway track running along side it you hardly notice it. Very picturesque and will be visiting again next year.

Just realised that when coming to book this site for the 3rd time that we had not left a review. This is an excellent campsite! There has been so much praise for them - it's hard to say anymore - but just re-affirm how good it is. Excellent base for discovering the local area. My children count it as their favourite site - very relaxing knowing the children feel so safe and happy. The owners can't do enough for you! Even though there are only small facilities - they were spotless and we never had to wait very long.

Just returned from a weekend camping at this fantastic site. The pitch sizes are generous and we could easily fit our Montana 6 and extension on with plenty of room to spare.
The toilets are basic but are very clean and the showers were hot and powerful. Well worth the 50p for 5 minutes.
The recycling facilities are also excellent for a small site, with separate bins for plastic, glass, paper and cans (this is better than a lot of the bigger sites we have been on). The rubbish was emptied at least twice a day and the site was always clean and tidy.
My 4 yr old loved the sand pit play area and spent most of the weekend digging in there. He also loved watching the trains that pass by the campsite (ideal for a 4yr old that is a train fanatic)!
Alison and her husband were always helpful and friendly.
This is a lovely friendly site, perfect for families and we will hopefully be returning in a couple of weeks.

Spent 3 nights here and found it really appealing. Alison and husband are very helpful and friendly. Nice quiet site in a beautiful part of the country. Lovely walks down by river, nice play area for kids and big field for them to run around in.
Clean toilet block but, bit small when camp site is busy. A short walk takes you into the village, Can highly recommend the New Inn pub. Kids played upstairs on the Wii while grown ups ate in peace in the bar. Nice food and good beer.
All in all, a very enjoyable weekend away and a campsite I would recommend to everyone.

I feel I may be wasting my time entering my review, since all those I have read previously are so positive with praise. I can only add my pennyworth and whole-heartedly agree. It is a decent place to camp, whatever the Dales weather may bring.
We stayed on the 5 space, hard-standing plot, which may seem a little cramped and sterile, but very practical, if one wishes to have dry feet and equipment.
We brought two young grandchildren, who immediately took to the wide open sandpit and innumerable plastic toys which lay strewn around just waiting to be tested to their limits. It is an area exclusive to children under the age of eight, but boys will abound when there are balls to kick and sets of wheels to raise the sand levels. My advice is not to park too close to the sandpit, as we did, fearing the next rubber ball to bounce menacingly in our direction.
Allison and husband are a great team and real helpers where campers are around. An offer of fresh farm eggs on a Saturday evening at 6pm is not often offered, but seems part of the service where Mr and Mrs Naylor are concerned. Stuck in mud! No problem for farmer Naylor and his trusty tractor. Remember it does rain in the North.
There is a busy train line on the edge of the camp-site, but it is of the smooth, silent electric sort and can be more of an attraction than a hindrance. It is possible to walk across the fields to Skipton,3 mls I am told.
Toilets are again basic, separate and very clean. Cononley itself should get a mention. Walk out of the site and you are in a very pretty Yorkshire farming village, with two pubs and a general store-cum-P.P. There is even another play area for children of any age, founded in 1937 to be precise. It is local for us, so we shall return.
My verdict: good value for a small family of 2 + 2 for £12.50 pupn.

We spent two nights here with friends, and its a lovely site please don't let any negatives put you off - yes there was some noise but only till a reasonable hour and we don't mind people having fun - the pitches are Very well spaced out so minimal noise form others. The play area is really good - some of the toys are a bit worn but then they are outdoors and well loved!
There's a couple of toilets and showers for each sex - the cubicles looked really big they were long so you can hang up your clothes away from the shower!
The sinks were big - I bathed my two year old in one! the site had a really good away from it all feel - fab views, a good walk to the river, but with two pubs (great food in one cant remember which one but if you mention the site you get 10percent off) and a shop.
There's also an industrial estate about ten mins drive away with a really good big indoor play gym for the kids if it rains. Also there's a micro brewery there (for the dads!)
This site had a really good atmosphere. It was the first time I had dared to go use the toilet by myself in the middle of the night, felt really safe.
We would go back because of the open space for the kids, the beautiful views, the play area and the locality of the pubs!
Also, we went after a week of rain when lots of other sites were closed but this was still open and well drained

Spent an enjoyable Bank Holiday here.
Access is fine bridge just before entrance is narrow but doable. There are 3 hardstanding bays in the entrance car park which totally threw us as cars where there and we didn't know it was pitches! there is a rally and caravan/ tent field fairly level.
Toilet block basic clean didn't use showers but they were big to dress in.
Family run site lovely to see the kids mucking in with mumand dad. Very welcoming owner.
2 pubs, superb chinese and po with all supplies in walking distance in apretty little village.
Views on site to die for I caught a specatacular sunrise.
Dog friendly must be on leads as lots of livestock, calves, horse, sheep.
Very good for kids we don't have any but htey have swings and a sandpit play area with play equipment.
Super v f m £12.50 pn
We visited, Bolton Abbey stunning take your bbq/picnic, Ikley and Skipton for shops, Grassington for walks.
Downside - hardstanding noisy with cars and walkers going past but grass would be quieter train going past didn't worry us though.
Any downside was eradicated by a super holiday many thanks Alison and family.

What a lovely little site. This was our first time in our tent and had rung loads of sites but couldn't get in at short notice, but the friendly owners of this site fitted us in at short notice(2 hours notice!and at a very reasonable price!)and am so glad we came here! loads of space for the tents and kids to play.Great big sand pit with loads of kids toys to play with. Our two kids age 3 and 11 had a ball digging and playing with toy tractors, bikes, cars, diggers, prams etc. Also enjoyed the swings. Also I could see them very clearly from our tent as they played and felt very comfortable letting them play alone because of this.Loads of space to play football ect.Small, basic but adequate toilet/shower block and dish wash facilities, all spotlessly clean.
What beautiful surroundings, couldn't have been anywhere nicer!went for a couple of walks, watching train go by every now and then.
Great park near the site entrance with something for every age.10 min or so drive to skipton town centre.
This is a lovely, friendly site, perfect for my family and I and we will def be returning.
We had intended on staying for 2 nights but unfortunately we were very cold during the night(only 1 sleeping bag each!)so decided to go home after the first night. Will have to buy extra blankets!well we are still learning!

Large site had about 40 units on over 2/4 area when we were here as busy school holidays, Lots of families with kiddies
Pitch 18 / 19 right next to the way into sandpit play area - not ideal for couples with dogs like us but we only booked the day before. Would say pitch 8/9 best for couples.
Ladies Toilets 2 - 1 shower 50p - Clean always loo roll hot shower worth paying for 4 hooks 4 clothes and decked to stop it getting soaked.
Gents toilets 2 - 1 shower 20p (take a couple)OH said water stops when pot washers washing.
2 Full sized sinks and information booth.
Dale footpaths directly behind the site great for dogs but beware sheep can be close.
Can be a lively site as there was a few groups but everyone was quiet by 11 Friday and 11.30 Saturday. Shame some think 7am on a Sunday morning is acceptable time to pack up whilst shouting at their kids.
2 pubs within 5 min walk - not got the biggest outdoor seating but nice enough.
Skipton 4.4 miles away lovely place market stalls on saturday were great. Lovely canalside walks too.
8/10 Suits people with dogs and families with smaller kiddies. If I return it would be outside of school holidays.
