Just got home from what turned out to be a [very] long weekend on this site. We were initially with our car owners club, on the 'Rally Field', but we liked it so much that we opted to stay a couple of extra nights.
After paying £10 per night with our Car Owners Club, we found the 'rent' to be a very reasonable £12. 50 a night. We've stayed on far worse sites, for more 'rent' per night [caravan, 2x adults with EHU].
The grass is immaculately short, the amenities are good [shower @ 50p for ample time], the views are superb and the site is sitated in a lovely little village.
We did'nt have our grandchildren with us, but there is what looks to be a well sorted children's play area.
There are two pubs in the village, we only tried the 'Railway', the beer was good and the locals were very friendly.
Whilst staying here, we had a day out on the Embsay Steam Railway, and took a short cruise on a canal barge in Skipton [tbh, I found the cruise a little disapointing, because having done the same a few years ago, its now not possible to take the same trip, as part of the canal has suffered a landslip and has blocked part of the canal]. It was enjoyable enough, but not as good as it was.
One of the days we walked into Skipton and caught the train back [ the site is virtually next to the railway, although train noise isnt a problem, as most of them are electric, and thus very quiet, being near the railway of course, the village station is only a couple of hundred yards away, and trains into Skipton [and beyond] are frequent enough.
We found the site rather difficult to find, one has to turn into 'Moorfoot Lane', and to be fair, it looks like you are about to turn into some-one back garden. Fortunately, a friendly 'local' chappie pointed us in the right direction.
My advice is that if you visit on a weekend, send a passenger down the lane and over the bridge, as reversing could be very awkward if two caravans meet [I'm assuming here of course, that everyone is as useless as myself at reversing a caravan]
Anyways. This site is high on our 'must visit again' list, and next time we're hoping that we can bring our two little grandaughters with us [aged 4&6] as it looks one of the most child-friendly sites we've seen.

Great weekend with 7 other families. Fantastic play area for the youngens. Friendly and helpful owner. Couple of great pubs a short walk away one of which has a playground opposite. Would recommend for families with young children. We got the train into Skipton which has a Morrisons supermarket next to it. Sure we will be back next May.

Love this campsite. Regular visitors. Very family friendly. The k8ds love helping the farmer with little jobs. Look forward to going back this summer. Great village close by with a Chinese take away and two pubs. One train stop to Skipton is great. Would recommend.

This was our third visit to the site and there will be a fourth and fifth no question.
Alison is a very easy going host and she obviously runs a tight ship.
Great site, great village, great amenities.
Bring on 2018!

Great campsite, friendly site manager and in a perfect location. The surrounding views were delightful to wake up to each morning.
We stayed for two nights and had a day out in Skipton. The site is in close proximity to the train station, so you have the option drive or take a train.
In walking distance to the New Inn pub, the landlady's very hospitable and made my family feel very welcome - highly recommend popping in for a pint.

We stayed her for a long weekend and it was a nice friendly site, my daughter made friends and played safely which was great.
The pitch was level and the facilities were ok, always clean but sometimes had to wait for showers, good washing up facilities.
The location is very good, located in a lovely village with 2 dog friendly pubs, also a nice playground in the village and a shop and takeaway. We had an enjoyable stay.

Although on a rally - what a cracking campsite near Skipton -The site is set in different grassed area's although there is a small number of hardstanding pitches and also a tent field. Did not use the facilities but as you see from previous reviews more than adequate. There is a train station within a 5 minute walk with trains to Skipton every 15 minutes (Just one stop and you are there £3. 60 for 2 adult returns)
There are also 2 pubs in the village - we visited both and found them both good serving real ale but we spent most time in the Railway Inn where we watched the football enjoying the food and drink. Also in the village there is a Post Office selling newspapers etc. Plus a chinese take away.
Several good walks and also the opportunity to walk along side of the canal into Skipton.

Just arrived back from another wonderful stay at Riverside.
What a cracking site, nothings to much trouble for the owners, he even brought us more tables and benches, as all the others were on site, that's what I call a good service, usual standards with toilets and showers, cleaned and replenished regularly, even though it was busy, we never ran out. Booked for next year just to make sure we get on.
Keep up the good work, the site is a credit to you.

We stayed on the rally field on our visit to this wonderful site,
Beautiful views all round. Owners were very friendly and keep the site lovely and clean. Toilets and showers were kept very very clean
Even though the campsite was very busy we had no trouble using the facilities.
Handy for visiting Skipton, train station only a few minutes away.
The new inn pub in the village serves good meals and there is also Post office/shop for necessities and a cantonese takeaway.
Despite the weather being a little changeable we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this delightful spot.
Children are also well catered for with a play area with sand and toys.
Also a park in the village
We have booked for next year with our group of Bambi motorhomes
Great site!
