We stayed for 5 nights on the Caravan Club CL at Fields End Water. It was a really lovely spot, with views across one of the fishing pools and farm land from our pitch. It was lovely to watch the sunset and the geese flying into the pool in the evenings. Although we don't fish, we enjoyed walking around the fishing lakes in the evening. There are facilities for the CL residents use only (a shower, loo and small wash basin) which were kept very clean. The shop on site sells fresh milk and frozen bread, plus some other basics. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave advice and a map of local walks. Ely and Wisbech are nearby and both well worth a visit. All in all, we had a fab break and would definitely go back if we were in the area.

Just spent 3 nights here in the main field. Quite hard but you can get your pegs in, the upside is is that it drains really well.
Toilets etc, clean and does the jobs, only a short walk away.
Wardens on on site who double up as bailiffs so please abide by the rules when fishing please, don't ruin it for everyone else.
2 lakes in total, the main one has some big stuff in it and the match lake is a great fishing venue, plenty of good sport in the lake. Bait shop on site, so stick to their stuff as you know the fish love it.
A few takeaways 5 mins away in the car and the same to the local pub (although I didn't go)
Adult only which adds to it for me, its very quiet and every one I spoke too were so friendly and chatty.
You can see why there is a 100 club.
All in all top draw, thank you

Excellent site. Friendly staff, super clean toilet/shower block and cleaning facilities. Pitches are marked and really good sizes. The other campers were really friendly and a lot seem to go back again and again. No children which is great for us as it makes it quiet and peaceful. We don't fish but there are two fishing lakes that we walked around and they looked nice.
We will definitely be paying another visit.

My wife and I use the Caravan Club CL at Fields End Water as opposed to the main caravan park as it is very convenient for fishing either of the two excellent lakes. Its position gives all caravans on the CL an excellent view across one of the lakes and open countryside. We have been staying there twice a year for the past 3 years and intend to continue visiting at least once a year.
We have only one slight niggle - the CL's facilities. There have been improvements made to the overall caravan site and, hopefully the CL's shower and toilet facilities will be modernised in the near future (adequate but basic). Nevertheless, a lovely quiet spot to spend time lazing about fishing or doing sightseeing in the surrounding towns (Ely Cathedral etc. )

Lovely camp-site, fantastic facilities, very clean, very friendly I cannot fault this place! Other campers were so friendly and it seems people keep coming back year after year, sometimes 5 or 6 times so it must be good, The only down was the weather rain, but it stayed off until we put our tent up so all was ok! We will be returning, might be later this year we have to see what the weather is like.
I definitely will recommend this place to friends who have no children or who just want to get away from them for a few days!

This site is situated in the fenlands area of Cambridgeshire, a rural peaceful location as part of and next to a working arable farm. An easy to find location with a wide access entrance even for large units. The site is extremely well laid out with large pitches and services easily accessible.
We were welcomed by an extremely helpful receptionist called Jackie who explained everything in great detail. The reception is also a small shop and information centre. The shop carries all the essentials and an excellent selection of fishing bait and equipment. Newspapers can be ordered on a day to day basis, very thoughtful.
We were directed to our pitch which was near to the toilet block (as we requested) as Pauline, my wife is disabled.
Then we come on to the fishing, there are two lakes which serve different purposes. The 'Pit'(two rods)I fished on our second day quite a hard fish but caught 3 larger carp all to surface baits around 4. 30. P. M. , all fish in very good condition and good fighters.
The next day I fished the 'Pool'(one Rod) which is more on the lines of a commercial fishery very flat and level around the edges. Using a method feeder I caught loads of carp up to about 5 pounds. I had never used one before but another fisherman put me right. Other anglers were using pellet waggler floats and method feeders all with excellent results. Both lakes have a different set of rules and clearly displayed, both lakes are well maintained. The day tickets are very reasonably priced
We chose the site because it had fishing lakes and we were certainly not disappointed.
The toilet block was modern, light, airy and spotlessly clean. There are dishwashing and laundry facilities with a tumble dryer available for wetter weather or those in a hurry.
Male and female blocks each contain two toilets and two showers with one disabled toilet and one disabled shower in each block.
The only observation I have to make here is that my wife is in a wheelchair and cannot manage on her own and needs my assistance in the shower. Therefore she would not be able to use this facility as I cant go into the ladies block !.
A separate unit for unisex use would probably solve this minor observation. For walking disabled the current arrangements are fine.
All in all this is an excellent site for any campsite user not just fishermen. For fishermen this site is one of the best and I have been to quite a few. Would we return ? Most definitely and quite soon I suspect.

We booked three nights but stayed four as it was so nice at this adult only site.
Friendly staff, large pitch, very clean toilets and showers, very well maintained all around the site. Even the rubbish bins are behind neat fences.
Very quiet and peaceful although you can hear traffic from the main road.
The on site fishing in two lakes (the pit being the hardest) was excellent my other half caught 20 on one day!
The on site shop sold lots of fishing bait and some equipment plus ice creams, eggs and the usual basics.
Two local pubs although we only used one, The George, which was very friendly and the nearby fish and chip shop was superb!
The Chinese delivers to the site and the menus are available in the shop the portions are large!
The only downside for me; I thought charges for the internet use really steep starting at £3 per night reducing over the amount of days you have it to £1

We have just spent 16 enjoyable days at Fields End. Our second visit to this site and hope for more to come. The wardens Paul and Jackie are very helpful and friendly, always with a smile. The site is well maintained by the owner who goes out of his way to ensure the pitches, facilities and surroundings are right. Newspaper service great as local shop is more than a stiff walk otherwise. The pitches are large and near to the two fishing lakes which are well stocked with superb fighting fish. A quiet site highly recommended

We stayed here from 13th til 17th July. When we arrived we were welcomed by the warden of the site. The showers and toilet block was fantastic, very clean and they were free to use. There is also a washing machine and tumble dryer for a small charge. There are 2 fishing lakes that are very good. Reasonable charges to fish. Our whole experience was fantastic and we would certainly go again. Very quiet site which suited us. The owner is very nice to chat to as is the wardens husband who looks after the grounds. A joy to stay and thank you for a lovely visit.
