When I rang to book this site, the lady I spoke to mentioned the new 33 unit site due to officially open the day after we planned to arrive. I asked if we could stay on this one and she said 'no problem'. On arrival we were met by the owners wife and a very energetic but friendly 'Monkey' the dog.
From start to finish our stay was fantastic. Charles, the owner was out each and every day working along side the builders/decorators/electricians etc. The site itself is lovely, very well designed and very peaceful. The new shower/toilet/washup block sadly wasn't finished before we left so we had to use the CL site facility but had no problem with that as they are kept very clean. It was nice to have our own water tap, waste water drain along side the ehu.
Before we left we were allowed to see inside the new shower etc block and WOW it is fantastic.
The fishing lakes always had someone sitting waiting for a catch. On a walk one evening I actually witnessed a fish constantly jumping out of the water, I am 51yrs old and never experienced anything like that before so found it very exciting.
We will be going back with friends later in the year so looking forward to seeing it all completely finished. All in all I would highly recommend this site and as its only just over an hour away, it may well become one of our weekend getaways. I am looking forward to seeing it grow along with the hundreds of trees and bushes that have been planted.

We visited this site primarily to fish. It is at present a certified location with the caravan club but a new 33 unit commercial site is being built this autumn. The current certified location and rally field are flat and well mown.
There are two separate hot showers and toilets one for the rally field and one for the certified location. The owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful. Roads are well made and drainage good. There are also two separate toilets for the fishermen. A lending library (for the wives !) boules court and several marked walks. Dogs are welcome and children if booked in.
The two fishing lakes are well maintained and stocked. A 24 lb carp was landed while we were there. There is a village shop about a mile and half away and two pubs serving food. There are 12 16amp electric hookups available and plenty of water points.
If the standard of the new site matches the existing set up we will be going back next year for the week.
