Just back from another fabulous week at Field End water.
Facilities are still immaculate as always. Thank you for the addition of the free to use hairdryer, brilliant.
Fishing excellent again, we fished 'The Pool', most days, I fish with feeder, hubby mostly pole (Unless it was too windy), we both caught, the pool is full of some lovely big carp and a few other species too.
We followed the local cycle route, signposted from just outside the entrance (turn right), it was about 12 miles, circular route brought you back into the village, perfect for calling in to the 2 local pubs (Three Tuns & The George).
If you don't know the area well, you should take a drive to Ely (Takes about 20 mins), this is a fabulous market town, beautiful marina with places to eat and drink overlooking the water.
Thanks again to Charlie and the new Wardens for making our stay so welcoming.
If you are looking for a well maintained site, great fishing, clean modern facilities, quiet and relaxing, you will struggle to beat this site.
I'm sure we will be back soon.

Visited for a 6 day break, found the owners very helpful and friendly. It is clear that the owners have given a lot of thought to the planning and done their homework. The pitches are large and very well maintained. The shower block is very well made and very clean, although I did slip twice on the wet tiles that make up the entire floor, although not interested in fishing the lakes make a very nice relaxing walk.
There were three very large long stay motor homes on site which I am pleased to say are moving in April, so large that they gave the effect of an eclipse of the sun.
My only point is that the owner advertises the site as 'Adults Only' but he allows children to be on site in the day, but cannot sleep on site. How this rule can be policed I really don't know, as its in the day that the children are the problem.
A really enjoyable break, and I recommend the site, just be aware of the adults only clause.

We took a chance on visiting this camping site as we normally visit them first before booking a pitch on the site. I also took a chance and invited my daughter and her partner to join my wife and me with there caravan.
Well what a real surprise to find such a lovely clean laid out site with large pitches. The toilets/showers were first class and the owner Charlie could not have been more helpful.
We will definitely be returning to this camp site and one visit will be during the summer time so we can sit beside the fishing lakes on a warm summers evening, really can not wait.
I would recommend this site for a visit to any caravan-er / camper.

This was our second stay here and what a beautiful site. Large pitches and really nice having water right next to pitch.
Charlie the owner very friendly. Loo block really clean, could have been a bit warmer but it was cold outside!
Lakes to walk around and walks from site are lovely - we only used car once to go to Ely - only 20 mins away had a nice walk along river
Will be back as a 10/10 site

Excellent campsite, one of the best we have been to in the UK. Site and pitches are large, clean and very well organised. A warm welcome was made to us. Being an adult only site it is peaceful and quiet. Could do with more shower blocks, especially in busier months.
Not much in surrounding area, so a car is essential. Owner is contemplating building a restaurant overlooking one of the lakes, fantastic idea.
Thank you Charlie (owner) for your warm welcome and hospitality. This site is a must-visit for all considering staying in the area.

First time to this lovely campsite, a very friendly site and family run, and charlie one of the owners, couldn't be more helpful and friendly,
A nice clean and tidy and immaculate site, what lovely showers and toilets and showers nice and hot. Lovely lakes and walks to go round,
Lots of people come here to fish, I see why. So peaceful I would imagine in the summer a really nice place to camp,. The whole site has had a lot of thought and work gone into it,
We went to march and some nice shops around there and a good market and car boot on sundays at wisbech, that's a nice little town as well. Doddington, just up the road from the site, has a couple shops, costcutters and a lovely fish and chips shop,
Top marks we will be back

We stayed here for the weekend to test our first caravan out and what a beautiful site to do so on. The warden was friendly and helpful when we arrived and quickly showed us to our pitch.
We were on a large grass pitch and overall the site has a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches. There is a tent field with ehu also. Each pitch comes with it's own ehu, tap and waste water drain - all very handy being so close.
The site is tiered with steps between each tier leading up to the lake and fishing area.
There is a lovely walk through the woods which my dogs enjoyed and then we walked around the 2nd large lake just before sunset.
The toilet and shower facilities were set in a lovely wooden cabin, and were probably one of the best I have seen. There was a laundry room complete with a normal hairdryer which was free to use also.
This is an adult site and was peaceful and quiet at all times.
On your last day you can pay an extra £2.50 and stay until 5pm, we took advantage of that and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and walk with the dogs before packing up for the journey home.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit, a perfect little haven in the countryside.

This site is exceptionally well maintained. I found the toilet block very clean and well kept. The site itself is very well cared for and the pitches are the largest I have come across with the added advantage of being fully serviced.
A very delightful site to stay on, peaceful and friendly. Whenever we return to Cambridgeshire which is usually 3 or 4 times a year I will most definitely be booking this site in the future.
Thankyou for a lovely stay and look forward to seeing you again.

This was our first visit to Fields End Water, we stayed for a week in our touring caravan. Both my Husband and I were really impressed with the site. The pitch sites are HUGE! There is a choice of hard standing or grass.
The toilet / shower facilities were excellent, large shower cubicles, extremely clean and plenty of free hot water. This is an Adults Only site (my favourite kind). It was quiet and well maintained.
There are number of walks from the site of varying length, I am by no means an avid walker but both the dog and I enjoyed these on a number of occasions. My Husband is a fisherman and had a great week fishing despite the weather. He caught lots from tiddlers to monsters!
The surrounding area is lovely, March is well worth a visit. My favourite place however is Ely, which is a lovely place by the river, if you visit try Peacocks Tearoom, by the river. The afternoon tea is to die for. We will be returning to Fields End Water without a doubt.

We are just back from a weekend away at this site. This is the second visit for us and we will definitely return. The site is well kept and amenities are excellent and the toilet block is always spotless.
The wardens cannot be more helpful and make you feel very welcome.Site is very well set out and pitches are large and spacious with own water supply and waste empty.
As it is adult only site it is very quiet and peaceful. If your a fisherman the lakes seem to fish well - I must say I'm not. The only fish I caught was with chips down the local chippy which I can highly recommend freshly cooked and tasty
