We were a bit dubious about staying at a huge site like this one, but were redirected here after we couldn't get into Nunnington Farm. However, I take all that back after staying at this site for a long weekend. The sign at the gate says 'Tranquil park with no clubhouse' - and it is just that!
Rates were very reasonable for a non-electric pitch and unlike a lot of smaller sites, we were not charged extra for very young children (aged 3 or above). The site was quite busy - probably at least 3/4 capacity - but we easily found some space for two large family tents next to the hedge bordering the dog-walking field.
The site is very flat - a bonus as we've stayed on 'slopey' sites before and found sleeping quite difficult! Toilets and shower blocks were well kept and very clean, and even thought the site was busy, I never queued for a shower - although I understand there are queues early in the morning and later in the evening. Washing up facilities were also excellent.
The children's play-park was very nice and always busy but we were far enough away from it so as not to be disturbed. My kids were more interested in the dog-walking field where they could kick a ball about and fly kites without being bothered.
The local shops, including a Tesco's and a Co-Op were a short walk away. As was the beach, but check for tide times as we went at high tide and therefore didn't stay long on the pebbles and shale!
The site was well patrolled and someone checked our tent tag on a daily basis. The only critisism I would have on this, is that we were quite close to a water tap and groups of older children on site were hanging around, filling and throwing water balloons near our tents and cars. We asked them to move on, but they eventually came back. There never seemed to be a warden about at these times!
Some other reviews mentioned noise levels, but I never noticed any after 10.30pm. We were far enough away from the main toilets and showers to not be bothered by the people using them. Infact, every night we were there, we were up chatting around a camp fire til midnight and were never bothered by anyone else.
Overall, an excellent site and would definitely keep it in mind if we go to West Sussex again.

From the beginning, we were disappointed. It is a huge site where they seem to just squash in as many tents as possible. There were no separate areas for people without children, so whether you want a lie-in or not, you may be woken up at 6am by kids playing cricket like we were! It was also the most expensive campsite we've ever stayed at, but we had the least amount of space and were miles away from toilets!
However, the toilets and showers were good, clean, with plenty of hot water and no charge which was great. The location is excellent and we had a lovely day on the beach.
As a whole though, there was no nice atmosphere to this campsite, just hundreds of tents sprawled over fields. The employees were not friendly or welcoming, and were just intent on taking your money and getting you out the door. I would not recommend this campsite except for the location.

We stayed for two nights at this campsite and despite it being near full capacity, I only have good things to say! The children 1,3 and 4 loved the play park and even though we were pitched quite close to it, the noise wasn't awful! The toilets and showers were plentiful - didn't have to queue and really clean. We would go again - beach etc in walking distance! Great place for a break!

A nice clean & pleasant site with excellent washrooms and shower facilities. Good location to town, shops and beaches. Good size pitches. Staff can be somewhat jobsworth even with regular clients. I have been back for many years but due to the prices being bumped up more than should be over last few years this site in my opinion is no longer value for money for my continued custom.

We were advised to book in at Scotts Farm from the owners of our fist choice of site as their site was full. The guy at reception was very helpful in showing us our field (we didn't take up an EHU pitch, preferring to be nearer the excellent Kids play area.) The field was well mown, flat and extremely tidy and is their weekend overflow area. Rather than being at the far end of the site, the field was right next to the site's loo/washing blocks and the giant kids sandpit/play area. We were only there for a Saturday night and got there around 11am, by the late afternoon the field was full but not overcrowded. The noise level dropped greatly around 9:30 in the evening and, considering the number of tents in the field the night was acceptably quiet.
The site is only a 5 minute walk from the village centre of East Wittering with both a decent Tesco's and Co Op. There are also several other good small independent shops, a baker's butchers, fish shop, deli and the like. There are also several take aways and 3 or 4 cafes/restaurants (which we didn't go to but definitely will on our next visit.)
The local beach is a 5-10 minute walk away and is fine but we prefer the larger beach at West Wittering (5 minutes in the car) even though there is a £5 parking charge. At low tide it's huge and great fun for all ages. AT high tide the beach effectively is only a few sand dunes so you need to check the local tide tables before you go (these can be found online by Googling West Wittering+Tide Table).
We had a great weekend at Scotts Farm, my boys loved it (10 & 12) and we can't wait to go back again. In retrospect we were glad to end up there rather than at our first choice of site. The owners were friendly, prices reasonable, weather great (which helped!)and the onsite facilities, plentiful, clean and in no way overcrowded.
For those staying longer than a weekend there appeared to be plenty to do other than the beach.

Large site - the non-ehu tent pitches are unmarked and so it does attract groups of campers.
Toilets & showers are free, hot and clean even over the busy Easter weekend. Playpark is fantastic for the kids but sandy. Be prepared for you tent and all of their clothes and shoes to be filled with sand.
Have been going there for weekends for the last 5 summers and it's ideal for a quick weekend break.

We have been season Campers on this site for the last 4 or 5 years. It is very well run, and close to shops, pubs, beach etc. We have a boat that we launch from Itchenor. We find that we are always made welcome and any problems are resolved very quickly. The Toilet/Shower blocks are always kept clean and tidy and we often see the Park team travelling around on their Kobota checking tags and just making their presence known which is very assuring.

Me & my family have been coming here since 2003, my dad, sister & my uncle all have season pitches in their caravans, I use a tent though. We showed up as a last minute thing so the electric hook ups had all gone & the site was heaving. Set up my tent in no time, went for a wander, Wc block was all clean, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Some fella was a little loud at 3am, but its a busy site. Overall I'd agree with the others it is quite noisy at night but good for families.

First trip in our new van. Site chosen because we love the Witterings, convenience to home and our favoured site here is closed until Easter.
Large site with generous pitch sizes. Not many units noted at this early stage and most located close to the toilet block which was of reasonable standard and clean enough throughout. Quite a distance if you end up at the other end of the field. Second field was not available but can imagine in height of summer this place will be heaving. Access is available to another, adjacent large field for dog walking.
Convenient for East Wittering shops and the beach. The Shore In pub is dog friendly with good beer and food of both good quality and value. Boulevard cafe is also excellent and you may find people queuing for all the right reasons.
Wardens helpful to some extent but wouldn't accept there was an issue with their power supply. We kept tripping our socket with hardly any drain on the system. History has proved that we are not unreasonable consumers they were simply limiting in their supply.
Friends called to see us on the Sunday and were parked next to us for only an hour but the warden insisted on charging £2 for the privilege!
This site may receive pre-bookings in the height of season but my view is they are the safety net for those turned away from the premium location in West Wittering who do not nor need to take bookings.

Went down for the bank holiday weekend and I will definitely be back. A lovely family and dog friendly site.
The toilet and shower blocks were immaculate and very new and cleaned regularly. There were issues with patchy hot water supply but it WAS a bank holiday so I made allowances for that and it was busy too. Fantastic washing up area with plenty of sinks and clean too. The children loved the adventure playground which is completely fenced and gated and the dog walking field was appreciated as we could exercise the dog without going off site.
You can get gas onsite and village and beach are only a few minutes' walk with plenty of shops for groceries, butcher, greengrocer, pet stores and beach sundries all easy to get hold of. Chinese and Indian takeaways within ten minutes' walk as is a fish and chip shop and a pizza shop delivers to site.
The site could benefit from having grab rails in the disabled toilets and showers, also baby changing tables in the toilet blocks would be useful, as would an area to hose off your dog when they're crusted in salt from their swim in the sea! My visit was not spoiled by the lack of the above but it could really be enhanced by these additions.
Word of warning - it really does get windy here sometimes, took a fair bit of effort to pitch the tent and I'm still bearing the bruises! Take plenty of gravel pegs too to make sure you stay pitched.
A lively, family site. Don't come here if you want a peaceful, tranquil time but if you have a young family this really is the perfect site for you.
