We literally decided to make the most of a hot Saturday and headed off to Sussex for a getaway. We landed here at a clean well maintained site with local shops nearby (walking distance)
We chose to pitch in the field as opposed to on an electric pitch and had friends with us in their new tent.
A cracking place to stay and even when busy the toilet block and shower block never seemed dirty.
The play area is on a sandpit which is good for the kids but it rained the following day which meant it was effectively a no go area for the kids which was a shame
A return is on the cards for another weekender !

We were total newbies to camping and wanted to try one night not too far from home. Nunnington farm was full and they redirected us here. The site seems huge with areas for static and mobile caravans plus 2 large fields for camping. Our tent is 5.7m x 5.8m and other sites we had spoken to gave the impression that it was quite big but we certainly didn't feel outsized compared to those around us here. Toilet blocks seemed ok with plenty of hot water - because of the site size they can get busy and a bit smelly but were cleaned. I agree with another reviewer that one hook in the shower cubicle is not really enough. The site was very busy on Saturday night and consequently quite noisy. There were some big groups camping together and I couldn't have imagined that happening elsewhere with regimented lines of pitches. We learned a lot from the experience and would recommend it and certainly visit it again.
Tesco and CoOp were about 400yds from site entrance. There are multiple routes to the extensive beaches from East to West Witterings. No sand at high tide but more than enough for everyone at low water so check the tides. East Wittering had take-aways and a very busy family restaurant (Boulevard) that we thought was good value for money. There is also a very good watersports shop (Shore) that hires out canoes, boards, wetsuits etc at v. Reasonable prices. They also have tide tables :-).

Pleasantly surprised, August bank holiday weekend, site full, toilets & showers - plenty of them and clean all the time (3 blocks, they closed one block whilst cleaning during the day).
Dog walking field excellent.
Childrens play pen - kept the 7 year old busy most of the day.
Warden circulated the site to make sure all ok - very friendly and helpful.
Easy walk to beach 7 mins and shops, Tesco, Co-op and plenty of small local shops. Found 4 plus pubs all very friendly. Chinese take away tasty, didnt try India etc. The Boulevard cafe best fish & chips we have had in a long time - excellent portions so small appetites can share.
3 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs, electric hook up, 5 nights £110.00 hows that for a Bank holiday weekend which we all enjoyed.
Very busy site during the day and at night time no noise after 10.30 ish.
Excellent fruit man visits - 5 beef tomatoes for £1.00 - 5 nectarines for £1.00 - tasty too - plus other fruit. Ice cream van comes too - didnt try that.
Definitely will go again.
Oh Other campers friendly as always, to park up for 5 months = £1000.00, it cost that for 2 to have 1 weeks holiday so considering it (just thought I haven't verified the price).

Stayed at scotts farm camping site over the August Bank holiday this year. We went down on the Thursday night to get 5 pitches on the field with electricity together. We just managed. In total there was 22 of us, adults and children, a big group! We just said we were family, thats all you have to do!
Big Noisy Groups like us were something that they didn't allow and we were concerned throughout our stay that we would be thrown off however nothing happened and we were allowed to stay even though we had witnessed many groups being turned away!
By Friday afternoon the sight was full. Signs were put up and no more people were allowed to stay.
As you can imagine, the site was being put under serious pressure with over a lot of people staying there!
The toilets and showers were modern and mostly clean however during busy periods you had to wait around 10 mins to get a shower. Once you got a shower, the pressure was so low that the water just dribbled out of the shower. This must have just been the such high amount of water usage!
The local village of east wittering was literally 2 mins away! We didnt realise it was so close! There were lots of shops, a sports bar, a pub and a restaurant all within the village and surrounding roads. The beach of east wittering was also just a 5 min walk from the site.
The site was constantly windy and one night we received gale force winds however most of the time it was lovely.
The washing up sinks were in the main block in a large room. This was busy all the time with people washing up but with so many peoples plates, cups, cutlery etc, I'm not surprised!
The staff were always going round checking people have paid properly and pitched correctly, the site offers a pitch anywhere scheme which seemed to work well but we were in the field with electricity so you had to pitch within a certain area! The staff were also extremely helpful because when my aunties car had a flat battery, one of the staff came rushing round with a battery pack to get her going again immediately, he was probably better than the AA man!
Overall a good campsite with good facilities however if you want a quiet relaxing holiday this is not the place for you! however if you want to bring the family to a site right on the coast, near to shops and the beach then this is definitely the camping site for you whether you're in a tent, a motor home or caravan.
The site coped pretty well at maximum capacity however it was noticeably busy and noisy most of the time but a great campsite overall. Definitely recommended!

Just got back from a week at Scotts, We camped with our 9 year Son who enjoyed every minute, he loved the freedom and enoyed the great play park, made lots of friends. When we arrived site was quite empty, by the end of the week (bank holiday) site was full. We had a lovely pitch, short walk to toilets/showers, I never had a problem, but did see queues for the showers/washing up area, which were all really clean with lots of hot water. My only criticism was of a few teenage kids throwing their weight around with the younger children, but that happens anywhere, and adults driving to the toilets/showers going a bit too fast when there are so many children running around. Really liked West Wittering and had a day in Portsmouth which was good. Will go back to this site but not on a bank holiday weekend, when its a bit quieter.

Scotts Farm is a very large site, where you turn up and take your chance on getting a pitch. The huge site has plenty of space and you can choose where you would like to pitch. The staff in reception were very helpful and efficient.
The pitches themselves are quite spacious but are located right next to each other, so there is no breathing space between yourselves and your neighbours. Each pitch is grass there are no hard-standings, but the access roads that serve the pitches are more than adequate.
The location of the site is fine but very windy as right on coast. Walking distance to East Wittering (5-10mins) where there are plenty of local amenities; Tesco, Co-op, a few take away’s, pub (but not great), and some local shops.
Facilities: no shop on site. Only 5/6 showers in each shower block, of which there were three for the whole of site. Large number of toilets, but not laid out very well in building (showers next to smelly toilets etc). No hooks in toilet cubicles, no soap dispensers by sinks. These facilities became very dirty at times and not very well attended. Water tap was quite a walk, if you chose a pitch in the middle of your row. The rubbish skips were located right outside the door of the toilet blocks, and as the site was busy for the weekend these skips soon became full and not too pleasant on the nose!? Great dog walking field, and good childrens play-area.
Overall the site was expensive for what there was; no shop, no food facilities, not too much in the way of local tourist information. The overall presentation of the site was uninspiring. The site is ideally located for access to the beaches of the Witterings, but not so good if you want to get inland. The traffic becomes quite congested making your way towards the main A27, but from there access to the surrounding areas is good.

Lovely big campsite. Seems well run. Toilets and shower facilities good and clean. Water mostly good temperature - not too hot so that the kids would not want to go to use the showers but hot enough to be good showers. Hot water seems, though, to be more of an issue when campers are doing their dishes. Have not tried showering at that kind of time, but certainly washing dishes is more difficult as the water is a bit cool. This seems to be around 8.30/9.00 pm, so it might well be the time when most hot water is being demanded.
Play area is lovely with sand underneath and lots of lovely, new play equipment for all ages to use.
It's really good having a dog walking area and this has been popular with our Dalmatian, who likes a run around when possible.
The washing facilities don't seem quite as good as many I've used over the past couple of years. I often find campsite washing machines and tumble driers really efficient, but the washing machines only run for half an hour and pale colours sometimes come out with marks on them (new marks!) or just not that clean. The tumble driers are ok rather than good and, if you overload them, you're going to be there all night coining tokens in to try to dry your clothes. Not aided by others not removing the lint from the machines before trying to dry their clothes. I managed ok by dividing my washing between the two machines, which meant there wasn't all that much in them, and they came out dry with two tokens each.
Good pitches and even instructions as to how to site your tent/unit correctly - which is good as often you're unsure whether the pitch number should be at one side or the other or smack, bang in the middle (as with this site). We were allowed to choose where we pitched, which was also nice.
Although very busy at this time of year (end of July/beginning of August), the site still manages to meet its own 'quiet time' rules and is quiet at night time. During the day, there is quite a bit of noise but there were a lot of people and a lot of children, so that's to be expected. Even so, the noise was perfectly acceptable.
Beach just down from the site is lovely and popular with campers. The beach along at West Wittering and East Head, which is National Trust, is even better and good for wildlife. You pay for the car park at West Wittering and this is how you get access to East Head.
Locally, there are quite a few shops and we haven't wanted for anything. Not sure about the pubs, we've been with friends and haven't felt the need of pubs so far.
A really good campsite, well run and well worth a visit. So nice not to have any kind of a club house!

Was pleasantly surprised by this site as I'd heard mixed reviews. Spent a long weekend here and arrived without booking anywhere. Most sites were full but got in here no problem and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
It's a big site with lots of families and can get very noisy near the playground area but with three children of our own it's not something I can complain about. However, the staff did ensure that the playground was empty and locked by 10 p.m.
Fields are nice and big and children could play/ride their bikes safely. Toilet blocks were large enough although the queue for the washing up room got particularly busy after breakfast.
Overall though, would recommend the site and we will definitely visit again.

Visited Scott's for a long weekend with family. We had 7 of us between 2 tents.
Site was easy to find, tidy. Well laid out.
Shower/toilet blocks were good. Like any camp site there were sometimes queues at the busiest periods. Agree with previous comments. Would be helpful if they had more than one hook in each shower.
Staff regularly patrolled site and checked everyone's departure dates & if they'd paid correctly.
Kids play area was great, have stayed in so many sites that don't have anything for the kids to do so this was a welcomed change. Site was child friendly.
My parents brought their 4 month old puppy with them and the site had a dog walking field which was useful.
Local shops and beach was within walking distance which was handy. On the Sunday we drove approx 30 minutes away and visited Portsmouth, which is a great family day out.
Overall the site was great for family holidays and we will definitely visit again.
Our 2 boys (aged 5 & 7) had a great time.

We have used scotts on a number of occasions over the last 18 years and until now have had no problems we arrived as about eight on a Friday evening and booked in with no problem until my daughter and her family arrived and was told that as she was joining us we then became a group and they refused her entry. On looking around the camp it was obvious that many people were there as groups. We left with 5 very disappointed children
