A spacious, flat, well run site where we have stayed three times. Excellent facilities. We avoid weekends and holiday times which are very busy. Term time week days are quiet and most of the (huge) site is deserted. Excellent local facilities and a short walk to the beach.
The 'over 60's rate' is excellent value! Recommended.

Have always been wary about this campsite as they do not take bookings.
However this was completely unfounded. Good friendly welcome which was informative. We were given a loyalty card and after 4 trips we will get a free night!
Plenty of flat pitches, great dog walking field and there is even have a dog shower!
Only a 5-10 minute walk to the local Tesco Express or Co-op. There is also a pub which we did not try this trip, but will be trying on our next visit.
Free wifi a bonus, TV signal not brilliant but we parked near the holiday homes which were in the park next door, this may have caused interference, therefore we will park on the opposite side of the campsite next time we visit. Showers and toilets spotless, no recycling bins though.
All in all a very laid back campsite & excellent for dogs. Can't wait to return in the warmer weather as I feel there will be a good atmosphere with everyone sitting outside their tents/campers.

August bank holiday!
Had a wonderful 3 nights (weekend) at Scotts Farm - we worried about the just turning up policy so was a bit disappointed when we turned up Sat morning at 1030 to find all EHU were gone. Not good with a caravan!
Luckily as the weather was not great some people left so we managed to move to a EHU pitch.
Since found out that this is common for Bank holidays so be aware all EHU often gone by midday on the Friday over Bank holiday weekends.
Showers and toilets where cleaned though out the day - though showers there was not much space to out your clothes (one hook!)
Nice 15 min walk to the beach (though this is the stoney part) about 40 min walk to main sandy beach or you have to pay the extornate parking fee. After a 10 min drive.
Good large play park for the kids which was good.
Even though this is a massive site we tended not to notice as we stuck to our part of the site.
Will I be coming back - Yes.

We had a wonderful weekend at Scotts Farm - we worried about the just turning up policy but it was fine, we got there at 5pm on a Friday evening and bagged a lovely corner spot in the field without EHU which was perfect.
Friendly and very easy check in, fab free showers and toilets with loads of hot water and regularly cleaned, excellent special dog shower which meant we had a lovely clean Border Collie. When we realised we needed electricity to blow up our bed (fancy aerobed type) the reception people were happy to sort that out for us and although the campsite says no campfires they are happy for you to use a firepit off the ground so as not to scorch the ground.
A very family orientated campsite with lots of dogs so if you don't like dogs or kids this is not the site for you. It is a brilliant friendly no nonsense kind of campsite. Nice and quiet at night times and easy walking distance to Tesco and Co-op for supplies as their shop is quite basic.
We spent the day on the beach at West Wittering and got burnt to a crisp and the evening eating fish and chips on the beach at East Wittering.
As we packed up to leave we realised the car battery was flat and the owners were over to jump start us within a couple of minutes - really excellent service and we will be back to this campsite again!

We were a bit worried as this is a first come first served site and it would a disappointment not to get a pitch. However arriving there around 4pm gave us plenty of choice, you book in at reception then you get several options as to where to pitch and you choose. All of the areas are flat and easy to park up. Initally there was only the shower/toilet facilities by reception open but when they realised it would be busy they opened up the other buildings. These were a little dated but clean and functional although a comment from several ladies was the mirrors could do with a clean! Loads of kids but not noisy later on but with no boundarys your pitch is an assumed thoroughfare, windbreaks are handy for some privacy! only immediate improvement in a dog friendly site would be the inclusion of dog waste bins, especially by the designated dog walking area. All in all good value for money with the beach & village a very short walk! We will be returning this year but I suspect not during the summer hols!

I have been coming to Scotts Farm for over 5 years now. At last, there is soap in the toilet blocks, but still no sanitary waste bins. Also no recycling bins, all waste goes in huge bins, which is a shame. The playground is fab as ever and the kids loved it.
Many games of cricket in the fields and living close to Heathrow we quite enjoyed the odd Spitfire and Chinook flying overhead.
The local Indian restaurant (by the Sports Bar) is fab and highly recommended.
The staff were very polite and helpful.

We have just returned from our stay at Scotts and I have to say we had a fantastic time.
Since we were coming from London (on a Bank Holiday weekend) we phoned ahead to make sure there were still spaces available on the Saturday morning. Reception kindly informed us that there were still loads of non-electric tent sites, which there were when we arrived.
Being a Bank Holiday weekend there were of course lots of people although, since the site is huge, we had lots of space and it didn't feel crowded at all. That Scotts reception staff were also very professional and helpful when we checked in.
The fairly large playground was also a huge hit with the kids. As stated by other reviewers, the site is walking distance to the East Wittering village centre. This fact was dead handy when I realised that I had forgotten our gas cooker at home! (Pricebuster - £15). Also walking distance to the beach and good seafood restaurants.
Bathrooms were clean also really modern. (There is an electric fancy soap dispenser at the sinks now). The showers and the toilets were also very clean.
I can definitely recommend Scotts and we will definitely camp there again if we are in the area.

There has been many things said concerning Scotts Farm and much of them I concur with having stayed for two nights over last weekend. We had stayed the previous week in another campsite so this was fresh on our minds. The weather was challenging with the winds so flappety flap night!
The reception staff were courteous and helpful on arrival and pitch sizeable though wardens strict about fire which was absolutely fair enough as we had our pop up as a storage space (ok during day but not night). We pitched near the shower and toilet blocks. They were clean however, the lack of soap for washing hands is a real negative and I hope that the management reconsiders. Having been to two other campsites I really wonder what the issue might be as these are not provided. It is just a touch that would really go a long way for many and is baffling with norovirus etc.
Being near the shower block raised another issue. Whilst Scotts Farm has a big playground for up to 12 years. The teenage years (13+) seem problematic. Large congregations of young people looking for something to do in a lit area is inevitable. That said after 10pm the young people were really co-operative. I can understand no clubhouse but I think Scotts could do well with thinking how they can really cater for teenagers.
Scotts is no doubt a family friendly park and the attraction of the West Wittering and to a lesser extent East Wittering beaches is a huge bonus, with Chichester being a short drive away with the Cathedral, shopping and a large car boot in the market car park. Shops in East Wittering a bonus with Tesco Express and Co-op. Unfortunately, we had to pay to use a toilet for a 4 year old in E. Wittering in one of the pubs and that unfortunately lost them sizeable custom. Amazing in this day and age when those little things for children are key. The shop by the beach in East Wittering do great ice creams and great customer care and needed a mention.
I am not sure whether it would be first on my list for a future visit but offers a safe environment for families to have an initial camping experience. If Scotts can address the small things like the soap and space for teenagers then I think they would do even better to make it a total family experience.

Just got back from 5 nights at Scotts Farm. Myself and daughter in one tent and my cousin and two boys in another. We both had electric pitches, which was needed to run the much needed cool boxes as we had really hot weather. I really struggled with the fact we weren't allowed a gazebo. (we did know this before we went) I desperately wanted some shade for my daughter and myself, and didn't like the fact that we were out in the sun without being able to escape it during the sun's hottest/strongest part of the day. All the Electric pitches were in the middle of the fields and the only shady pitches ( non electric) were along the bottom of our field.
I thought £29 per night was a bit steep for nothing really at all. A big problem I had was there was no hand Soap in the toilets! I had read this before and went prepared by taking my own. Also no Sanitary bins! Everything seems to go into the general waste. Not sure how this complies with environmental health regulations? The toilets and dish washing areas were cleaned regularly, by what looked like jet washing instead of using good old elbow grease.
The boys loved the play park and made many friends, I accompanied my daughter as she's only 3. She also loved the area as there was plenty for her to do in there - slides - climbing frames and plenty of sand.
The site is a short walk to East Wittering which has a Tesco and Co-op with other smaller shops which you can buy almost anything you may need. There is also a pub on the way down to the stony beach. The shop on site is ridiculously expensive £1. 50 for a small dairy milk? Really?? They don't sell milk or bread in there.
The staff in reception were extremely helpful and courteous.
All in all we had a lovely time, but we would have had an equally good time at another campsite. We chose this site literally for the location, beaches and huge play area for the children.

Scott's Farm has masses of space and so I can see why you don't have to book. The camp site is very family friendly, has nice shower and toilet blocks which are cleaned regularly. The staff are friendly and seem to have the place well organised. This location is obviously perfect for the beaches at the Witterings. The local shops nearby in East Wittering come in very handy indeed.
My only small negative is the noise of air traffic night and day. There seems to be an air training academy nearby with helicopters and small planes buzzing around overhead most of the day. Also the camp site seems to sit right under a civilian air traffic path and the sound of low flying aircraft and loud engines can be quite annoying at 1am in the morning!
