This is a massive site and definitely geared towards families heading for the beach.
We only stayed one night while visiting friends nearby and chose to motorhome (without electric hook-up) in the camping field, plenty of space and little in the way of noise.
The area for electric hook-up was the opposite, row after row of caravans and motorhomes with very little space in between units.
Shower / Toilet block was adequate and could have done with a good clean, especially the showers which had very dirty floors.
There is a large kiddies playground in the centre of the park which appeared well maintained.
The village of East Wittering is a short walk away
With shops, pubs, take aways, restaurants and beach access.
I wouldn't choose to holiday here but as a base to go visiting friends it suits us, so will definitely return.

Just back from 2 nights over the Bank Hols. Overall very good and would recommend.
Greeted nicely in reception upon arrival and given the low down of the site and the surrounding area. This site is big and the EHU areas seemed to be packed in quite tightly but as we didn't need one we were given total freedom to park and camp where we wanted in one of two large fields - we like this ability to choose location.
The facilities were good and clean, the kid's park was great, the site wasn't noisy at all and there are plenty of water taps dotted around.
Also a great big dog walking/free running field next to the site which was welcome as well and seemed very clean - most owner's obviously cleaning up after their dogs.
It's a 10 minute walk to East Wittering's Tesco Express and larger Co-op, shops, cafes, restaurants and a pub.
The best bit for us was that it's just a 10 minute walk to the beach which is dog friendly all year round (except the bit right at East Wittering)
We can't think of any downsides. We'll be back :)

Found this camp site on Google Earth and have been wanting to check it out so popped along on the last weekend of their season (26 – 28 Oct). It was a typical windy chilly Octobers day, but the forecast was a sunny Saturday which someone actually delivered for a change. On arrival we were met by a friendly young guy (hope the colds got a little better by now!) who told us we could park wherever we wanted as they weren’t busy and that should we get stuck the tractor was available to rescue if needed. We opted for a nice bit of tarmac opposite the clean and warm showers and negated the need for rescue and because it was quite, didn’t interfere with any other residents.
The new block was impressive and looks set for next season and was clean and tidy, including the launderette and wash room. There were probably only 12 of us on site, tents, caravans and another motorhome so obviously no noise and a peaceful stay, apart from the windy night, but it was heading for winter and no one can control the weather. The Saturday morning was bright sunshine as mentioned earlier and a delightful trip to the parade of shops, fantastic Italian lunch and a trip to the seafront confirmed it all, perfect………. We’ll be back for sure next year.
Points to note, the site has no clubhouse and is all grass and no hard standing, plenty of electric hookup’s, but I didn’t spy too many water points, but then I never went looking. I also only saw the one disposal point and that’s at the entrance. If you’re parked on the far side of the site, it would be a wander to the disposal point when required, but then a little exercise never hurt anyone. Could be that this is catered for on the far side of the site, but I never spied any other facilities. We’re quite new to the motorhome and touring world, so I’m not sure if the £22 a night that I paid is expensive or not, but we were happy and the fact that there’s such a nice little parade of shops close by, coupled to the small cafes and proximity of the beach, makes it ok in my books.
So all in all a fab gem of a site, what you see isn’t what you get as there’s so much more to it all so it’s a thumbs up from us

We have been camping here for the last 3 years and love the place. We have our last 4 days camping near the end of September each year before we pack up for winter. The lads in the office have always been great and very helpful. The site is very big with large pitches. The shower block is always clean with plenty of hot water. I would prefer adjustable heat settings for the showers. Short walk into East Wittering, with cafes, shops and plenty of places to eat. The beach is lovely when the tide is out with plenty of sand to play on or walk the dog. Some say its a bit expensive but its worth every penny just for the location. We will be back this year and look forward to it.

After spending time in two sites in north devon and then visting the great dorset steam fair my wife and I decided we would finish off our holidays at scotts farm. I had spent many happy days there twenty odd years ago when the only facilities were the old shower block.
What a surprise I got! the new toilets and showers were excellent and the kids play area was fantastic, the staff were very helpful and informative and we had a wonderful weekend in glorious sunshine.
The only things we would like to see changed are, some soap dispensers in toilets and my wife said someone had just thrown a used sanitary towel on the floor of the ladies toilets as there were no bins to put them in. There are some great shops within 10 minutes walk and the chips from the kebab/pizza shop are lovely and yes I will be going back!

When I first arrived I was a bit shocked. I am not used to sharing a site like this. It was manic, and filled with people keen to get to the beach. I asked about a more secluded pitch, and was directed to Field A which was the furthest away from the toilets and shower block. This was perfect for me as I use my own facilities. Field A was much more sparsely populated. For such a busy site it was remarkably quiet. I was very pleasantly surprised.
Downsides. No marked pitches. Can't book. £25. 00.
I didn't use the shower block, toilets or shop, but my fellow campers seemed content enough.
One other point. And both Nunnington and Scotts have to put up with this. The road from Chichester on a sunny weekend is very very busy, with long queues. Try to be headed down to the Witterings in the evening, and out of the Witterings in the morning. Otherwise, there will be a long long queue.
I had a lovely two nights, and this has changed my view of busy commercial sites. When I was in my tent in field A, I could have been anywhere.

Please do not judge a book by its cover!
We were initially put off of visiting Scotts farm by the negative reviews on this (and other) site(s). However - Because we like to make our own minds up, we contacted the Scotts farm team and enquired about the negative reviews. They were able to reassure us and emailed me to confirm that my party (two units - 1 tent + 1 Caravan) would be welcome.
Upon arrival the team were pleasant and very helpful and we were able to pick our own pitch from a choice of three fields. Although the site is big, it is not too noisy and there is plenty of room for the children to play. Excellent (and spotless) facilities and playground. Close to all amenities and no more than 10 minutes walk to the beach.
Only slight negative is that the site shop is overpriced - although you can buy everything you need locally, much cheaper.
I didn't mind paying £25pn but might be a little on the steep side for some.
We will visit again!

We stayed here over the August Bank Holiday as it was the only site we could find at short notice not booked up. You can't actually book here but there is plenty of space and apparently they've only filled up once in 10 years. We arrived early and picked the tent only unpowered field opened especially for the holiday weekend. There was loads of room and ground was level. For those unfamiliar with the Witterings, it is a fantastic part of the country. Strangely enough Scotts is classed as West Wittering even though it is a mile and half from there but only 200m from East Wittering village centre. Its is a great base for sea lovers and East Wittering is a perfect little village with good local amenities (2 butchers, 2 greengrocers, 2 chippies. Plus Coop & Tesco mini-markets). We unfortunately suffered tent peg thefts in the night, along with a number of other campers. Other stuff went missing or relocated to other fields. Pity you get low-lifes wherever you go. The reception didn't indicate it was a regular problem. Other than that we had a brilliant stay.
Plus points:
Great location for village & beaches
Spacious if not requiring EHU
Great playground for kids
Endless hot water, clean shower blocks
Not too noisy despite the number of pitches
Negatives (being picky)
Water temperature not adjustable so can be a bit hot for little ones
A bit crowded on the main fields
Overall a great base for families & groups.

This site is huge! went for the bank holiday weekend and had to stay for the whole weekend (3 nights)at £29 a night it was expensive compared to other sites we've stayed on.
The showers were basic no shelves to put your shampoo etc. On no curtain and 1 hook on the door therefore things got wet. No mops to clean out the shower after use and no bins in the toilets or soap to wash your hands. Having said that they were reasonably clean.
Washing up area was not too clean had to wash down the sink before use, decided after this to wash up at the tent
Not sure what the 'not allowing groups of people' is about, as we saw lots. This is not a quiet park as advertised and we witnessed people allowing their dogs to poo on the pitches without even cleaning it up.
Would not stay again especially at the inflated prices!

Due to all of the conflicting reviews of Scott's farm, when the Boyfriend and I decided to go camping this weekend, we first tried Wick's farm in West Wittering (which I remember fondly from childhood). Unfortunately they were all booked up, but sent us on to Scott's.
When we arrived, it was no problem that we only wanted to stay one night, the guys behind the desk were efficient and happy to help with directions / recommendations for restaurants etc. We were given a map with crosses for places where we could pitch and left to choose our own spot.
A lot of the site is quite exposed and there is a wicked breeze most of the time across the site. We got a spot away in the corner so we had a bit more shelter, but also a longer walk to the facilities (which are all located towards the entrance). I would avoid pitching too close to the facilities or the children's play area as there seems to be lots of hubbub around there until quite late into the evening.
Toilets/showers were clean enough, and despite the maths not working out for me in terms of people:shower ratio, we both managed to get a shower without queueing on the Sunday morning. Could have done with a bit more power in said showers, but they were warm. Bit concerned that there was no hand soap in either bathroom.
An easy walk to the town and the beach, and a nice restaurant called 'The Boulevard', which was rammed, but friendly. Huge portions.
All in all, we both agreed that it was grand for a weekend, but we wouldn't want to stay for longer. It was also quite expensive at £25/night, but this seems to be par for the course in the area.
