Scotts farm is a massive site and was actually full the weekend we went. We were directed there as the other site we wanted to go to was full by 10.00 am on the Friday we drove down. It was very easy to book in and the staff were really friendly.

We pitched in what was an empty field when we arrived so we could see the play area but by the end of the day it was completely full.

The good thing about the site was the location next to shops and the beach. If I was going to go again, I would have pitched a lot further away from the amenities which would have been quieter.

Although the vast majority of people did appear to be enjoying themselves, Scotts Farm wasn't really my cup of tea, for the following reasons:

I could see only 2 modern shower and toilet blocks, (there was an old fashioned one, which gets opened at the weekend) so the queues for showers were sometimes long and the toilets were filthy by the middle of the day - paper and other stuff all over the floor, sinks etc etc. They were cleaned but soon became dirty again very quickly.

The site was noisy all the time (because its so big). At night time quite a few people had music blasting out of their cars which did stop at 11.00 pm. And then just when you thought it had gone quiet - the small children would start screaming. I know this can't be helped - but it kinda got to me after a while!

Also lots of people walking around with cans of beer (even at 8.00 am!) which I have rarely seen on other sites I go to.

This was our fourth visit in as many years to Scott's farm, there was 21 of us in four tents with children ranging from 9 - 15. The shower block is modern and kept very clean - there is a plug socket next to mirror so you can use your own hair dryers/straighteners etc - essential when camping with teenage girls! There is a well equiped play park and a huge field to play in. The staff were friendly and helpful and now stock camping essentials (including bagged ice) at reception. Pitches are not available to book which maybe a problem on Bank holidays. One good point is you can stay on site until 5 pm on day of departure at no extra cost.

The beach and village are only a five minute walk. There is a large co-op and tesco express, various take aways, bakers, butchers, old fashioned sweet shop and many other smaller shops to meet all your needs.

Great for families but not for those who want a quiet secluded holiday.

Very friendly staff, I mentioned that it was our first camping trip with the kids, he said they would love it, its the adults that find it harder.

Easy booking in. The camping field is very flat although this does not give any views of the surrounding area it does aid sleep. Toilets and showers were very clean and never to busy.

Good kids playground which helped to persuade them to go and have there teeth cleaned as it's close to shower block.

On this experience we have decided to go for a 2 week summer holiday. So we must of found it a relaxing stay.

We were making a weekend of it by the beach and stayed by the sea a bit too long meaning the first site we tried wouldn't let us in, it was only 8.30pm, but rules is rules! they did direct us round to Scotts though.

Friendly staff greeted us and as it was quite quiet directed us to pick any pitch off one of the roadways, we had loads of space to set up and a short walk to the shower blocks.

The facilities were excellent, very clean and well maintained.

We only stayed the one night but as we've got a few more trips to the beach planned we know where to head next time

First Time at Scotts Farm. We found the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Toilets & Showers are nice & clean, when we did find a few of the showers not working they were fixed quite quickly, the only draw back is that there is only one hanger in each cubicle, it would be better to have a shelf or a second hook in the cubicle as this one is not enough.

The staff do seemed to be very active around the site; while we were there a group were asked to leave after they had snuck in and refused to pay and later a group of noisy youths smokey drugs between other people's tents were thrown out to the surprise of their parents.

Unfortunatley we did find our tent had attracted it's own water feature (waterlogged) on the Bank Holiday Monday morning but all in all we will be going back, as we did enjoy ourselves, the site is clean and the staff are friendly and effcient.

We came to this Campsite by chance as we wanted somewhere close but due to being new to this type of camping we decided on here, that was two years ago. We understand people have diffrent opinions on area and cost but we have just come back from the new forest and it cost just £2 less than here with no hook up and the shops were miles away.

I sent out for a bottle of juice (not saying what type) but it normaly costs £2.50 for 2 well I had to pay £2.19 for 1 But here we have shops close to hand.

My husband loves to fish and we drive just to the next villiage and pay to stay in the carpark which is £1 for 2 hours and the staff are lovely to.

The campsite itself is good we have people talk to us and the noise stops before 11pm and we have never had a problem with anyone.

We went there last year and it rained all day people started putting on all the stuff in their caravans and tents and it tripped the power 10 mins later the staff came over and fix it then it went again and this time he took time to see who was useing the wrong kit which ment everyone with the right kit did not suffer and that I found good as Ive had that sort of issue before and we had to wait till the next day and we had no power till then.

We also like the fact that we can arrive at anytime during the day and stay until 5pm the day we leave so that give you extra time not like the other places where you arrive a 4pm and off at 10am. As for the showers and toilets we overcome the hook problem in the showers by taking a small step over if needed also if you go after a certain time you get as many as you like and its alway hot.

Space is not a problem as its set out with caravan ,awning then car so next to you is next doors car no tents or caravans should it be close to you the staff will come around and they will ask you to move a bit, also if you put your pitch away from the post it has to be 10 feet from there that 20 feet from the one behind and the number must sit in the middle of the pitch t thats more than 20 feet away from the pitch next to you.

We are going there again and this time we are taken our teenager there.

We have just got back from this site and as this is our second visit to the same site, we were there last August 2007, I was still impressed with the site.

As I don't like dirty toilets, and shower blocks, I am quite fussy about this, these were once again spotless, and cleaned regularly. We always had hot water when we went for showers.

The washing up rooms were clean and always had hot water.

The site was clean and no litter, excellent play area for chidren, and dog walking area was great. Our 2 jacks loved it.

You can walk to the local shops, with quite a good selection of shops, tesco express, co-op, bakers and butchers etc.

You can walk to the pebble beach from the site or a short drive to the sandy beach at West Wittering.

A lovely place to visit on the whole.

Camped for the first time this year at Scotts farm. Have used this site before and as always found it clean with helpful staff. Some pitches were waterlogged but these were clearly marked so everyone knew not to pitch there. Showers were hot and clean. Site now sells 'usefull items' in reception ie camping gas ect.
Was surprised at comments regarding noisy/rude youngsters as have not experienced this on this site. Would recommend for families, others campers very friendly and you feel that everyone 'looks out' for everyone else. Chichester Marina 10 minute drive if you fancy a wander around looking at very expensive boats! As mentioned in other reviews local area great for shops, local pub near the beach( The Shore Inn) has a family room and great food if you are BBQed out!

This site is in a lovely location just outside of the West Wittering village. It is very easy to sign and well signed when you get closer, if you do go too far it is easy enough to turn around in the village.

The reception was quick and efficient and booked us in no problems and gave us a choice of any EHu pitch we liked.

The site is divided into seperate areas / fields with each area being split into rows and not too bad pitch sizes. We decided to go on the field that is nearest the entrance of the site as it was closest to the playarea and the walk to the village / beach.

The facilities are plentiful and clean and well maintained, the staff did work hard to keep the place clean conisdering it was a very wet week. Also our eletric would not work when we arrived and within a couple of minutes of reporting this , the maintainence chaps came by and solved the problem.

There is a couple of non electric fields too which looked lovely and you could really tuck yourself away in the corner if you do not require ehu. The playpark is large and well looked after and my kids loved it in there. Also a large field for football, kite flying etc was available, which we took great advantage of with the windy weather.

The site is about a 10 minute walk into the village where you will find a selection of good pubs, resturants and shops. There is a Tesco and Budgens and also lots of smaller specialist shops.

Also in the village is a road leading to the beach (pebbled beach) which has stunning views of the Chichester Harbour entrance and across to the Isle of Wight. On a clear day you can easily see the Nav tower as well.

There are a great many walks in the area too, I would suggest getting an Ordnance Survey map or similar.

In the area are a lot of attratcions to including a huge and very popular beach which costs about £5 to park all day, and there is a cafe there and loads and loads of beach. I would suggest for a quieter beach, walk round to East Head, but it will take about 30 minutes to walk there, but will be emptier!

Also take in Selsey with the beach and lifeboat station, the many nature reserves in the area. Chichester. This is a fab area with so much to offer and one that will keep drawing me back time and again.

Overall the site is great, very clean and well looked after and in a great location for the area. I will be back when next in the area.

Stayed for one night which worked out expensive (£23 for two of us, a dog and an awning). Facilities aregood and clean.

Great location for the beach and town's only a five minute walk.

Only downside from my perspective is teh size of the place - it's huge! It's also well packed in which I realised walking to the dog walking field.
