The ironic thing about this site was if I had borrowed my friend’s 10 year old brother and one of his friends for the weekend we would have been allowed on with no problems. I turned up with my boyfriend and we pitched our tent. My brother and his girlfriend came 2 hours later and to keep with the no groups rule they brought their own tent and pitched it 100 yards from ours and we decided to do our own thing on site and get together on the beach.

Having pitched our tents settled down and had a civilized glass of wine in our own separate tents watching the sun go down, an obnoxious rude little man came round on noisy quad bike and said that we were a group and that we had to pack up and leave there and then. A family who we had helped put up their tent were as mystified as us as their group of 4 families with about 12 children were by far noisier and more alcoholic than we could ever have been. No amount of talking to the Scott’s farm team would budge them - we duly packed up at 8pm whilst it was getting dark and had to drive 2 hours back to London.

A site that does what it says on the tin, great alround enjoyment, quiet, great showers and toilet blocks, all you could ever need for that break away.

We both enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to all. They proudly state on a board outside of the site, NO CLUBHOUSE NO GROUPS, and that was the ethos of the site, quiet and calm.

We went to Scotts for Easter this year, and as it was our first trip out I was quite pleased with it (I cannot say how good it was as I've not much to compare it to). The main shower / toilet block was very good and I never noticed any queues (the OH had to wait for a little while for the family shower, as there is only 1 in each block) and that was with only half of it open.

They only opened the one field for Easter, hooks ups one side 150+ and none the other, all the hooks are 16amp which is good as we needed the heater on most of the time.

All the pitches seemed level and the ground looks like it should drain OK. There is a play area for the kids, I didn't get a good look, but it looks like it was more suited for 7+ ages.

You are pitched at least 20' from the unit behind in the hook up section and twice that from the unit in front due to the gravel road that runs up and down the feild. I can't tell you how close you are to next door as we didn't have anyone right next to us but it all seemed OK from looking at some others.

The site runs an Ice pack service where you pay a pound deposit to hire their icepacks and 30p each time you swop for frozen ones (you get your pound back at the end).

The village is covered in other reviews and as said it has all you would need.

All in all I'd go back without having to think about it, especially as you will probably have no problems getting in (more so if your easy going on where to pitch).

 July 2003 to present
This is our 2nd season that we have visited. We like it so much that we have a 4 month seasonal hook/up pitch this year and visit every weekend and will be there for 2 weeks in August. Excellent shower/toilet and washing up blocks cleaned frequently in the day at busy times. Hot water all free. (The older blocks mentioned in earlier reviews have been replaced now.) All the staff are very helpful and friendly. For the nightly rate pitches do not have to be vacated until 5.00pm so there is no rush if camping at the weekend to leave first thing on Sunday.
At time of writing they are installing another 25 hook ups.
As mentioned above the village is a 10 min walk and boasts 2 butchers, 2 bakers, 2 greengrocers a Co-op, Tesco Express, Alldays, gift shops, chemist and many more. + 2 fish and chip shops, restaurants, English, Indian, Thai, a Chinese take-away.... and of course the sea is also about a 10 min walk away.

A great place for having fun!!!

So you're going away for some peace and calm. What better destination than Scotts Farm.
Hook up the caravan, pack up the tent. The management charges a reasonable rent.
Pull into reception you're met with a smile, not like some other sites they miss by a mile.
The showers they sparkle the toilets are clean. Even some mirrors to primp and to preen.
Shops are all nearby even a barber at hand. Of course there's the beach, real close lots of sand.
What I'm saying is if you want a rest. Come to Scotts Farm they really are the best!

Very well run site, with excellent, clean amenities and a small playground for the younger kids. You can pick your own pitch and all pitches are level.

The beach is about a 10 minute walk and the local shops about 5 minutes. The site does gets very busy at weekends but you should always get a pitch.

Had an excellent 2 nights at this site. New toilet/shower block is very good indeed, free hot water plenty of space and the site is good and level. We were in a group with lots of children which wasnt a problem and there was plenty of space.
My only criticsm (and its a minor one) was about the fence that you had to step over to get to the toilets, not easy when carrying your washing up etc. Why they couldnt just remove a small section to allow you to walk through is bizarre. I may ask if they want me to help out and take my hack saw next time!!!
All in all, an excellent value site, near the beaches, near the village (The Shore pub has a family room) great place to stay.

An excellent site with fantastic and clean facilities. Large open field for playing and additional field for dogs.

Located just outside the town of East Wittering, provisions are easily found. The beaches are just a stones throw away, although a drive is necessary to reach the sandy West Wittering beach.

There are three fields for pitching, one exclusively for weekend use, which is handy.

We will definately be going again.

I was very impressed with this campsite. Originally I had intended to go another highly-recommended site nearby but, finding that full, headed for Scotts Farm. I think this was very fortunate because I found this site to be excellent and only a short walk from the beach. Having only recenly taken up camping I was pleased with the consideration that other site users showed for each other. Very quiet and very well behaved children. An excellent couple of nights.

A great site (huge)- near to beach and village, like stepping back into the fifties - very busy at the weekend. bills itself as 'definitely no groups - families and couples only' ,,, but we saw some very big families. Our first go at camping, we loved it.
