august 2003 Their website says no need to book just turn up. we went the hottest week of the year and there was plenty of room. They have a weekend field (no hookup) the ones with hookup do seem to be packed in a bit and a lot of them are there for the season. Shower block is very clean and at weekends they open another block to cope with demand. One point to make, lots of deep rabbit holes in the fields so do be careful when walking around at night!

July 2002 Been coming to this site for many years I feel that the site was better run when Mr Scott was alive and running the site, although there is now a new toilet and shower block, that you see when you first arrive and book in before pitching your tent, the other toilet blocks are in a disgusting state, and need to be renewed, you still have to pay for hot water in the old blocks for showers and washing up, although in the new ones it is free I feel that seeing the new blocks first gives a false impression of the site, I was also unsatisfied with the way that the site owners come around three or four times aday to check that you have paid they walk right up to your tent or caravan and have a good look in when they know from the two hours before that you have paid. It is all on their computers so they only need to check your car registration.

July 2002 We have just returned from our first camping weekend for many years, which was our first camping trip with the kids (boys 2 & 4). The kids were very exited and require lots to do to use their almost limitless supply of energy. The site had a nice play area, which was fully fenced in, this proved very popular and the sandy beach is close by albeit across a reasonably busy road. They do pack in the tents and vans quite close together, a little more space would have been nice. If however you didn't go for electric hookup you were able to spread out a little, there was also a large playing field onsite. The toilet block in our field was very tatty, however the newer main block was excellent. The site itself is located close to the village which has a good selection of takeaway food shops, so much easier than camp cooking. In all we very much enjoyed our first camping experience with kids and the kids look like they might sleep for a week, I think we may be making a habit of weekends under canvas.

3rd June 2002 Good clean site, close to the village and short stroll to the sea. Modern shower block and plenty of things to occupy in the area.

Excellent campsite. Have been going there since I was a little girl. Plenty to do, plenty of places to visit. A good quality inexpensive campsite. Highly recommended!
