We pitched up at this site for two nights to celebrate our friend birthday. It rained unfortunately but it couldn't spoil the enjoyment of the site. We asked for a pitch away from the play area and near to the toilets!
We had a very nice stay, the site is well laid out with a mixture of static vans for hire, touring caravans and tents. Plenty of room for everyone, lots of space for children with a wonderful play area and grassy area for Ball games.
There is a small shop where newspapers can be preordered. Full disabled facilities and family shower room with changing area for babies. A washing up area, an ironing board and iron and free hairdryers. As with all campsites at 7am you could do with twenty toilets and showers, but as usual there are only two showers in the main block and three toilets, meaning a bit of a queue at getting up time and going to bed, but they are very clean which makes up for the wait.
On site there are various animals for the children to go and see, which was nice I had never seen such tiny ponies and rabbits. Excellent facilities for dogs, great big exercise area, and dogs must be on leads at all times which is great especially around children. BBQ's are allowed off the ground and overall the camping experience is just right, enough luxury but retaining the independence of those who want to enjoy the great outdoors.
Near to all local attractions. A short drive we were in Bexhill, which is tranquil and affords good facilities and amenities with a fantastic beach which in low tide stretches for miles, little bit of sinking sand which you need to watch out for! Lovely park, great shops and restaurants plus museum and art deco theatre / art gallery. I would recommend this site and look forward to returning again soon.

Me and my wife were sceptical about camping as neither of us had been since our school days which were now some years ago.

For our first experience we were reasonably impressed with Cobbs farm. The site is clean and tidy with good, clean toilet and shower facilities, although I was not impressed that my 20p only lasted until I had put the shampoo on my hair even though I was told it would be enough to last for a full shower! My advbice would be to take plenty of 20p's if you do not want to end up with shampoo in your eyes!

The play park was good for our 5 year old son and our friends 2 children and we certainly felt that they were safe around the site. The animals also kept the kids well occupied.

The pitches were OK in size even though they seemed to try and squeeze as many on as possible.

Overall we were happy with the site and we have been camping several times since so it must have been ok.

We've just returned from a 2 night stay at Cobbs Hill. It was our first time there and were recommended the site by friends who go there a lot with their family.

The pitches are spacious because there's no defined area for each place which is good because some places we've been to have felt as though you're on top of each other but that wasn't the case at Cobbs Hill.

It was a surprise to find you had to pay for the showers, 20p for 4 minutes, (I should have looked on UKCampsite.Co.Uk first) which isn't too bad in itself but there's nothing listed on their website to tell you to take a supply of coins into the shower. There were two showers per sex and it seemed that one shower was warm and the other was cold no matter how much adjusting of the controls went on. The other half said her shower went from hot to cold randomly but when she used the other one it was fine. They would have benefited from being cleaned more often because the floor area was quite dirty but given the site was full up it's fair to expect a bit of dirt.

I went to the toilet in the night and there was only a single emergency type light in the corner of the whole block so it was quite dark but my other half said the ladies had no lights on at night so it was pitch black - so my advice is to take a torch if you need a late night tinkle!

There's an excellent play park for children to go off amuse themselves in and it's at the back of site so you feel quite safe leaving responsible children there.

We only found one drinking water tap and that was by the toilet block so it was a little bit of a walk with the water carrier back to the tent each time we needed to get fresh supplies. There may have been other taps but we didn't go exploring to look for them.

The owners have horse, rabbits, goats, chickens & guinea pigs for children to look at and stroke (goats & horses) when they come near the fence.

The site was pretty quite as it's secluded from any of the roads nearby. There were lots sheep in a neighbouring field but luckily they weren't noisy during the night!

Sidley village is very nearby (about a 2 minute drive down the lane) and there's enough variety of shops nearby to cater for your needs, including a CO-OP, a lidl, chinese take away, fish & chips, newsagent, and a butchers. We had some tasty fish & chips from The Chip Basket which saved us cooking one night!

Bexhill beach is about a 10 - 15 minute drive away and it great for kids when the tide is going out or out because there's a lot of sand. Just beware that some places have soft sand that feels as though you're going to sink into it. You don't actually sink but it may feel a little odd.

A very wet week was spent at this caravan and camping site, and it's got some good bits and some bad bits, so lets start with the good points, well it's a well looked after site with plenty of room for both cars, caravans and tents, the site is cheap at £15 a night with hookup, and I found the toilets where kept clean most of the time while there.

It's a great site if you're looking for piece and quiet, it's close to Bex-hill with plenty of shops around, there's a small camp shop, but I didn't us it. The camp site has all the facilities you would expect.

Now the bad points, the site is not an easy one to get too, as the roads leading to it are narrow, and everyone seems to drive way too fast for the road, I would recommend coming in from Bex-Hill.

The showers at the site cost 20p for 4 min, but you have to wait 2 min for the water to get hot, and in the gents, there where only two showers and one was only spiting a little bit of water, 4 min is not enough. The toilets also need a light switch as in the early morning it might be light outside, but it's dark in the cubicles.

With the gate shutting at 11.30pm and not opened again till 7.30 am, if you need to go out between these times, you had to leave your car outside the gates. List of rules are everywhere, I know there needs to be rules, but not in your face all the time, it does not make you feel welcome.

We have just come back from a two night stay here to test our new tent. The staff were very friendly. We were in the smaller field next to the playground. We were shown to our pitch by following the owner on her bike.
The pitches were not marked out, but were guided to pick a corner as we were told that a couple of caravans had to be pitched together. The pitch was very spacious - we managed to get our Khyam Quebec 8 Deluxe, car and trailer on our pitch and still space left over. The campsite is really nice, and the facilities were really clean.
Showers are still 20p but I think the clock said 3.5 minutes some of that time was spent getting the water to right temperature.
The washing up facilities are in a wooden hut and the hot water is controlled by and instant water boiler, so you never run out of hot water. There are washing machines and an iron (50p) and ironing board in the wash up room hut. There is a free hairdryer to use in both the family & disabled facilities and the ladies (not sure about men's).
The reception sells a few bits - we only bought a couple of pints of milk (58p per pint), so quite reasonable. The play area is in a separate field to the camping fields. It is surrounded by hedges, so you cannot see your kids when they are playing there.
There is a Lidl and Aldi close by and many take-aways and pubs close (did not use any of the take aways or pubs, so cannot comment on those). We really liked this site and would definitely return again.

Cobbs hill Farm is a very pleasant site to stay, plenty space for pitches, we had a party of 10 in 3 tents and had so much space, the pitches were clean and had nice hedging and trees around.
Our children had a fantastic time in the play area, so much space for them to run and tire out! They especially loved visiting pets corner and miss Thistle and Blackberry already!
Toilet facilities were spotless, family room very well equipped, laundry facilities superb, washing up area spot on! Can not flaw this site at all, wouldn't want or need to.
Visited Battle, enchanting place and Bexhill, plenty shops to roam around. A very relaxing weekend of camping on the site and we will book again in July or September. Well worth staying here, value for money.

The pitches are good but the facilities when the site is full are inadequate for the amount of people on site. The toilets and showers are dark and no lights on during daylight hours.
The cleanliness of the site has gone down hill particularly the toilet block which needs cleaning more frequently than once a day. The playpark is good for the youngsters and there is plenty of room for older ones to play football.
The local area has a Lidl and co-op, chip shop, chinese etc but is not a particularly nice area (sidley). Five minutes drive brings you to Bexhill with its quaint old fashioned seaside which is always easy to park near and the town is pleasant to wander around.

In wet weather this is not the best site to be on as drainage is particularly poor and can get water logged easily. No help offered by the owners when this has happened.

What a great site for our first ever family camping trip. The site was full as you'd expect from a bank holiday weekend but didn't feel too crowded as the pitches were well spaced.

The shower and toilets were clean with family / disabled block, 20p for 4 minutes of a good pressure shower, free hairdrier use, always had soap and loo roll. I was quite early showering so didn't have to wait long but there was a bit of a queue by the time I left. OH complained it took a while for the hot water to come through on his shower but I didn't have that problem once. We also heard some complaints about no hot water in the washing up room but again didn't have that problem ourselves.

Small shop on site and in easy driving distance of supermarkets and retail park (<10mins). Also <10 mins to the coast at Bexhill where you find your usual seaside shops but we took a small drive to Pevensey Bay which was surprisingly empty for a scorching hot bank holiday.

There was some noise in the evening when we were trying to get the little one to sleep but all was relatively quiet from about 10ish. One barking dog but even he quietened down when there were less people out and about.

Overall, a great site at a reasonable price and if it was closer (4 hr drive) we would definitely go back.

My boyfriend and I have just returned from our Bank holiday weekend away at cobbs farm.

It was our first trip out in our new caravan (we had a tent previously).

Where can I start, we will definitely be returning to cobbs farm later in the summer.

The pitches are large, the toilet/shower block is small (2 showers with a chage if 20p for 4 minutes and 3 toilets) however, it is kept clean and free from cobwebs and the showers were always hot and fairly powerful. The site is generally quite, however I can imagine that if your were parked next to the children's play area it wouldn't be so quite.

The dog walking field is a reasonable size, and the farm animals are friendly.

And lastly the site owners are the most friendly site personnel we have ever come across.

This is our second visit to Cobbs Hill Farm. Previously in a small tent 2 years ago when we got back into camping. This time in our newly acquired Pennine Fiesta folding camper.

We had a friendly welcome from the owners and were shown to our pitch where help was offered to level out the Fiesta. We were on a grass pitch serviced with electricity.

The site has a really relaxing feel and no roads pass near the camping areas. Great for peace and quiet and keeping the kids safe.

There is a good children's play area with a few swings etc to where the kids out and close enough to keep an eye on them.

The shower/toilet blocks were spotless and a good warm/hot shower available at a reasonable 20p per 4 minutes. The only downside is that they turn off the lights remotely and if you want an early shower it can be quite dark in there. A family room and disabled wc/shower are also available. A nice touch.

There is a good wash up cabin with dryers and ironing facilities, also a covered in chemical toilet disposal point. Fresh water and grey disposal are also close to hand. There is a small site shop open from 8am till 9pm with the basics and ice creams!

On top of this you are never too far away from goats, chickens, sheep etc. Responsible children are welcome to go an see them.

About a mile from the camp there are plenty of local shops/cafes/restaurants. Within 10 minutes you can be on the seafront at Bexhill. Within 15 minutes you are in hastings with bags of things for the kids to do.

Given its reasonable price and relaxing friendly nature we would highly recommend it and will be visiting again soon. Hopefully on a hot sunny weekend!
