This site makes a good base for exploring the local area, not least all the sites relating to the Battle of Hastings. Despite being close to a busy Bexhill, the site is quietly located in the countryside. There were some static caravans and seasonal pitches in evidence.
Some care must be taken if using the postcode to find the site via SatNav because one of the potential routes consists of a very narrow lane that is totally unsuited to caravans. The correct route will take you via Watermill Lane, and even then the site is few hundred yards beyond the postcode.
The new amenities block is smart but can be under pressure when the site is full. It would benefit from some mats during wet weather because the Gents quickly became wet and muddy during our stay. The automatic closing doors need some adjustment because they currently close with a fair old clank, which is highly audible and impossible to avoid.
For whatever reason the washing up facilities only open for a limited period, which led to considerable queueing one morning. It appeared to me that many people were dealing with the previous day's washing up, possibly having been caught out the night before.
In summary, this site suited the purpose of our visit.

Spent a weekend here with friends on 2 pitches. Total of 4 adults and 5 kids 3-12yrs on 2 pitches.
Pitches
We stayed in the tent field with no electric, we were able to pitch where we liked so chose the furthest end behind the play park, which was quite a way from the toilets etc but we had a good view of the playpark through the trees. The site only had a few tents there so the field was quiet so had plenty of space. Pitches well kept, they have split the field into different sections by planting trees for screening so there is a nice feel of privacy.
Playpark
Kids loved it, well kept and a good selection of things to do for all ages plus has a nice area for ball games running around etc. Was lovely as was able to give our 3 yr old the freedom to use the park with the other kids without us as we could watch from our tent so he was happy. Nice and safe and secluded so the older children were able to ride around the camp on their bikes. Had a small animal farm which you could view too, with goats, pigs, ponies, etc kids loved it.
Has a small shop in the reception area with penny sweets and few other bits.
Toilets and showers were always VERY clean on every visit and never had to wait. There is also a family washing shower area too. Dish washing area under cover and inside had wasing machine etc there too.
We are local so didn't go off sight. But there are lots to do around the area.
All in all a really great well cared for sight. Would definitely return again and again great great great!

Wonderful, relaxing site, the new shower block lovely to use, beautiful countryside, helpful and friendly staff, great kids playground, and animal farm. Washing room facilities include washing machine, washing dryer, clothes airer and iron available to hire, with children's toys available to play with whilst hand up etc.

A lovely, family run site. It's a great quiet location & family friendly. The pitches are very large & worked well for our family get-together. The site owners were very friendly & helpful. The toilet block was well maintained & very clean with plenty of hot water. There's a brilliant children's' play area with lots of space for ball games too. The site is just a short drive from Hastings - a great British seaside town with many shops, pubs, restaurants & tourist attractions.

Just got back from a lovely stay in our caravan at this lovely, clean and friendly campsite. The owners were very helpful, the toilet blocks it seems have now had a complete upgrade, as they did not charge and were more than adequate - and even have a powerful hair dryer! The baby changing table could do with being moved however, as it was near to the family changing entrance which did not have a door on and therefore pretty cold for my baby.
The farm was an added bonus and my children loved meeting and watching the animals. The shop needs to supply a few more essentials.
It's easily accessible and a very short driving distance to Bexhill beach, as well as Eastbourne and Hastings.
I would definitely stay again.

Not sure why this site is 4 star but it isnt a bad site. The toilets have improved and showers are much better. The low amp electricity is annoying as it keeps tripping out and the owner needs to come out to reset, need to up the Amps or have trip switches accessible on all units. The paddock we stayed in was a bit cramped as we were in a corner. Kids love the play ground area.

Lovely quiet campsite, we had excellent weather & wished we had stayed one more day. We were the only tent in the field, which made it very peaceful, all you could hear was the birds tweeting. Very friendly owners, made us feel very welcome, also patrolled the site so felt quite safe. The showers do need a bit of a spruce up but very clean. Would recommend this site if you just need to switch off. Look forward to our return.

A nice location and generally had an enjoyable stay. However, I was disappointed with the facilities. The showers were alongside the toilets and sinks which is not pleasant and you had to pay 20p per 4 minutes for pretty sub standard showers. This day and age you expect better wash/toilet/shower facilities. Also the taps were push button and didn't last long which meant you were constantly pressing the button down which is annoying especially when washing up! The shop was very basic and realistically you would need to travel to nearby Supermarket. Also the pitches were quite close together. It was a nice stay as we make the most of things but was let down by a lack of investment. With the required investment it would be a far more pleasant stay.

A last minute booking, the owner was very prompt at responding to my request for a plot using their website's booking request form.
On arrival we were personally shown (by owner on her bicycle) to the plots that were available and we chose one that was sheltered by some trees.
This holiday was planned as a relaxing stay (after a rather energetic one in North Wales the previous week - with walks down Snowdon etc). This was indeed the case, with two great visits to the local Pevensey Bay for the kids to go Body Boarding (beach does have quite a steep underwater gradient though, thankfully the kids are good swimmers) and also the local swimming pool in Bexhill (which has a wave machine and a small flume). We also managed a quick afternoon trip to Brighton too.
The site's facilities are very good, the toilet/shower block is clean and well maintained. The showers cost 20p for 4 mins (which certainly focusses you) but is really quite reasonable. Lots of water taps are located around the site and there is a playarea for the kids and also ponies, guinea pigs, rabbits and a pig for the kids to look at.
If you are a family, this is a great site. It also seems quite popular with the Dutch and Germans, which meant my kids met some european friends in the playarea. Highly recommended.

We have stayed at this campsite many times, (yearly) and although usually we have no real complaints, this year we felt that there was a big lack of consideration by other campers near our pitch.
Our son is 14 and we were pitched near young children and no attempt was made by parents to keep their children quiet early in the mornings. Being woken up at 6am every morning by loud children when you are on holiday is not very fair.
It is a shame as we have always had a good experience staying here. The Toilet block is clean and the site as a whole is tidy and the owners are friendly.
At £18 per night though it is getting quite expensive to stay here whereas for the last few years it was only around £11/12 per night, especially when you have to pay for showers which are not that great - water runs slowly out of shower head - the flow rate could be improved.
