Just returned from a 3 night stay with our 3 year old son. We found the campsite very clean and the staff very helpful. We pitched our tent very close by the children's play area which was very windy although good for keeping an eye on our son who enjoyed playing on the swings and slide.
The showers were spotless and warm with plenty of room and we didn't have to queue once. We enjoyed 3 nights in the bar where on one night there was a singer on and on another night we played bingo!
We will definitely return but will wait for some nicer weather and maybe camp closer to the shower block where there is better protection from the wind.

Finding the site, agree with previous comments but followed the road along and it is directly opposite the only bus shelter on the road
Friendly helpful staff who work hard to keep a clean and safe site. Very impressed! food in the club was good for the price and the Saturday night crooner was very entertaining. I just wonder at the lack of Timothy Taylors on draught.
Its windy, be prepared to nail everything down.
3 kids 12-5 years old loved it. Games room, play area, open space, lots of kids but all well behaved and a friendly bunch of campers.
Turn left out of the site and you have the dog and gun 2 miles away. Good beer selection, quality cellar and excellent food, its busy (as you'd expect) but worth a visit.
I would happily recommend this site to families. Not a dog owner so was happy to see dogs welcomed but on a lead!

Just about recovered from our visit here. The site is in fact excellent although quite expensive especially the extra charge for the bank holiday weekend.Owner rang few days before asking for full payment as he was fully booked and people were ringing asking for availability. Personally shown to our space then given the hard sell about his new pods and static caravans for rent(this must have been because the weather was so atrocious) club fine prices reasonable food not tried but plenty did.Only thing annoying was static owners all seemed to have their own seats and if we sat in them they loitered until we moved. Overall site is excellent club is good and atmosphere is very good

Young retired couple with offspring living fairly locally. We always book sites with Electric hook-up facilities!
Great site but of course windy being on top of the moor! Manager and his daughter were great and helped us out when we found we had booked a very poor site - they went out of their way to make room for us.
The facilities were superb - even piped radio 2 playing in toilet block and heat. All so clean and nice - good washing up facilities, lovely play area for children and fabulous views. We only spent 3 nights here so did not visit the clubhouse area but understood from friendly neighbours that it was very good.
We will definitely be going back again next year hopefully.

We too missed the turning as it's very poorly signposted - as previously mentioned by someone else. Look out for the bus-stop is our advise!
On arrival the barrier was lifted so drove round the site a few times to see if we could see someone who looked like a warden, quickly we gave up and rang the office which is situated at the other end of the site. A warden appeared on his electric car and showed us our pitch and went on to explain how to situate our caravan / awning due to the high winds that day. He seemed very knowledgeable about it but we didn't think much of it at the time. It wasn't until later that evening the penny dropped - high winds that day, it was gale force winds all weekend and seasonal pitchers told us that this is normal for this site - that might explain the wind-turbine we'd passed on the way in!?! No awning for us that weekend. Some more hedges / bushes wouldn't go amiss considering you are on top of the moors!
A key fob is available from reception at a refund cost of £10 - which seemed high. This allowed you access into the washing facilities, toilets and entry / exit barrier.
Toilets - they were pink for the ladies and avacado green for the gents - nice! The ladies had 8 cubicles, one of which was out of order and it took me three attempts to find a clean one! There were 4 showers, again one out of order for the whole weekend and I had to wait for one to come free, fortunately not for too long as 50p didn't go far. To be honest, if it takes you a while and you're washing your hair etc then £1.50 would probably just do. The showers were hottish but the cleanliness wasn't, the floor had a delightful green slime / limescale covering and a scabby shower curtain, so best to take some crocs for flipflops in with you.
We didn't use the washing facilities but no doubt you'd probably needed to pay for these too!
The site's information paper (A4 sheet) said it had recycle facilities but we didn't see these, apparently they were at the other end of the site, so everything went in together unfortunately.
The site also had a bar area and meal facilities, again we didn't use these but at £5+ a head for most things you'd be better off going to the local chippy or chinese / indian in Haworth and getting value for money like we did.
All in all, not clean enough, extremely windy, too many kids and far too expensive for the pitch fees considering the electric went down twice in one night!
Some good points were the local amenities, the views (if you could see past the rain clouds) and the fact it didn't take us long to get home!

This campsite is idylic and very well kept. The owner and staff are really friendly and only too willing to help. The facilities are also well kept, there is a small bar and games room which is ideal as the nearest local pub is quite a walk and the toilet/washing facilities are some of the best I've ever used on a campsite, there were clean and modern. Will definitely be using this site again.

Booked on site last minute and to say we had 2 large tents had enough space for them both as I said they were 4 berth but were 8. Nice park and watching the little planes land on the air strip in the field next door was breath taking and the kids loved it.Nice for riding your bike round site too.Showers and toilet block lovely and clean although the music playing in background reminded me of a horror movie (that's me though).
The entertainment/pub/shop was great and lovely Sunday Dinner and kids were spoilt with traditional puddings after.Jam roly poly.Apple pie.Lovely walk to Haworth and also steam train to Oakworth.

On our arrival at the site we were told that our booking had not been taken properly and that it had been double booked so the only alternative was a field at the side of the site that was used for rallys, there was no electric hook up which we had booked and paid for. The Manager was brilliant, he refunded all the money we had paid, got us a generator and even gave us a free breakfast for the inconvenience (and there were 17 of us)! The site was lovely, we had a huge big field to ourselves and the kids loved it, the toilet and showers were really clean and nice and we had a lovely walk into Howarth. Brilliant weekend would return again.

Just got back from a nice weekend away at Upwood Caravan Park.
Negatives:-
Absolutely terrible signposting for the site, if you blink or not paying any attention you miss it and that would probably cause you a lot of hassle trying to find somewhere to turn around, surely a lot more can be done about this.
Toilet & Shower block, disposal area, Shop, Reception was a bit of a hike, as we were down at the bottom of the touring field.
50p for a shower that didn't seem to last 2 mins, but at least the water was nice and hot
Positives:-
Lovely site with lovely surroundings and views.
Reasonably Priced.
Decent play area for the kids.
Toilets & Showers very clean.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Nice little bar with a bit of entertainment on that's if you fancy going out for a drink.
Only a few minuets form the lovely Haworth, where you can take a stroll in the Bronte Country or take a steam train ride.
Will return but maybe in a year or 2.

A great site, my two young children enjoyed it very much. We were placed near to the park. Clean and tidy site with good toilet facilities £10 deposit for key fob.
Not too cramped in. Mostly caravans on the site.
Food was fine and the games room looked good for the kids (mine too young)
The high chair were not very good as they did not have a tray on them and you could not fasten them in.
Reception friendly and helpful with a small shop.
I think they should have an information sheet that includes cost of showers 50pence, bar, food times, where to get gas and cost ect. A simple map of the site would be helpful for the new people as they arrive. We had to ask quite a few questions, a simple sheet would have stopped this.
Overall we had a great weekend away for our first time with our little ones.
