We have visited upwood park a number of times and have always really enjoyed our visits! The staff are really friendly and very helpful, The facilities are very clean and the small shop on site is very handy for forgot items! The club house on site is friendly and there is entertainment on a Saturday night. The site is close to lots of attractions. The whole family enjoys our visits to upwood park and we will be returning very shortly!

This site has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. At our stay in May we booked and stayed in the wooden pods, which are wooden type chalets which have electricity, lights and heater included. These Pods are very reasonably priced and ideal to have a relaxing weekend without having to put the tent up!
The facilities consist of toilet block, laundry, wash up area, children's playground, bar with food and a small shop in reception. All the facilities are clean and and fit for purpose. All staff on the site are very friendly and helpful.
My family consists of 3 small children ranging from baby to 8 years old and I find that all areas of the park are suitable to meet our needs as a family and more importantly we are made to feel welcome by all.
During the weekend there is a small aircraft field adjacent to the site - the kids enjoy watching the light aircraft take off and land. This only happens through the day and causes no major disturbance to the campsite.
The bar area includes a games room for children and at weekend there is entertainment usually in the form of a singer. The bar is reasonably priced and again relaxed and welcoming to families.
I would definitely recommend this site to others in particular to sample 'the PODS'! Can't wait until my next visit.

We have just stayed at Upwood Holiday Park in the new timber pods and would just like to say how fantastic they are. There are three new pods each named after a Bronte sister. We stayed in Anne which sleeps four people. The pods are well insulated and come with electricity, the other two have heat and lights. The pod opens out to a small decked area which was perfect for last weekends weather.
We found the site itself very welcoming and fantastic for children with the large play area and games room.
The shower block and laundry room were very clean and the shop was well stocked.
The clubhouse which we visited for the evening entertainment had a very friendly atmosphere and in the morning we sampled the clubhouse breakfast which was very good value for money.
We would definitely recommend this site whether you are staying in a tourer, tent or pod!

Had a lovely weekend at Upwood, very close by car to Haworth, we were very lucky with the weather especially as it was our first family experience at camping.
Site was very clean, kids were able to wander about the site safely and made lots of friends, we had a warm welcome at the club and they even made sure we could watch the finals of Britains Got Talent despite having a turn on! Staff also went out of their way to ensure when our friends joined us a day or so later that they were pitched with us.
Would recommend the site.

Our first time camping and what a nice site to pick. We didn't want to 'rough it' so we wanted all the mod cons. Lovely toilet block and laundry room. Nice flat site of tents. The club house was good and the meals were reasonably priced. Great play area for the kids that was secure.

We chose this site due to the good reviews mainly regarding the facilities as we had friends with us who were experiencing their first camping trip, they also had two small children. The site is in a lovely location but being on the top of a hill it is very windy. There are plenty of toilets and they were mainly clean, the showers would have been great if you didn't have to wait 30 minutes to use them as only one was working, I don't mind paying 50p for a good shower but only if the facilities are working properly.
I used the bar very briefly but left as we had small children with us. However, my husband and our friend did sample the 'Meat Loaf' tribute on the Sat evening which they found very amusing.
There is an air strip next to the tent area and our children loved seeing the light aircraft land and take off, it isn't that noisy and we didn't find it a disturbance at all. One thing I will mention was the lunacy of some of the other guests on the site, there are clear signs telling you not to cross the fence to the airfield but adults were dragging their children over the barbed wire fence and up the grass banking to have a look, this is not the fault of the campsite owners but I think larger and more prominent signs should be displayed to discourage this. All in all we had a good stay at this site, not sure if I would rush back though.

Brilliant, one of the best sites I've visited. The views are amazing and the site is really well kept and equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff were also really friendly and helpful.
There is a small bar on-site which also serves good value, yummy food. I can't wait to return.

We were shown our pitch which was a small area for tents without EHU. Despite all the rain we'd had during the week, the ground seemed to cope considerably well and didn't appear waterlogged or flooded. However, the slight slope on the pitch may have helped with the drainage. Our particular pitch which included two other tents was separated from the other tourers by a grassy embankment with wild flowers.
For £14.50 per night for a non EHU tent pitch this is expensive as other facilities including showers, hairdriers, washing machines, dryers, iron (which was out of use) had an additional charge of at least 50p. A £10 deposit had to be paid for the keyfob to get you in and out of the site and also the shower block and the laundry room. The laundry room also housed one sink for washing the dishes which was inadequate for the amount of people there.
The shower block is only cleaned once a day, first thing in the morning. We appreciate that it's the school holidays and it's bound to get full of grass and mud with kids running in and out. But the ladies shower block was full of mothers with several pushchairs and screaming toddlers running around unsupervised. We feel this was not adequate as to the amount of users. Only 2 out of the 4 showers were working, the toilets were soiled, and shredded toilet paper was scattered all around for the rest of the day.
No one has mentioned the airfield right next to the campsite either. We arrived on the Friday and several light aircraft were taking off during the afternoon, adding a constant drone to what could be a nice peaceful site. Thankfully they only took off during the day and we weren't disturbed at night.
As previous reviews have mentioned, the bar/club is quite cheap. The club closes around midnight and despite there being a noise curfew of 10.30 pm, this seems a bit of a contradiction as we were woken by people returning from the bar well after 10.30 pm. Perhaps a site patrol would be in order to maintain any noise curfew which the campsite website terms and conditions state.

This site has a wonderful picturesque location just a few minutes from Haworth, Keithley & Halifax.
The toilets/showers are heated and the shower gives about 5 minutes for 50p and the water was nice and hot. The blocks are heated which are an added bonus on a cold morning/evening.
We never used the onsite clubhouse to make comment.
We wanted an electric hook up and were sited in the middle field where the tents are pitched and we were exposed to gale-force winds which we just couldn't escape and both tents we took were damaged, with one beyond repair.
It put a real dampner on the weekend

Just stayed at this site and we had a great time. Fantastic location, great people running it really helpful and friendly. We pitched near the childrens playground which was great as the children felt they were allowed the freedom to play whilst we were able to keep them in sight. There were alot of children on the site which meant our children had plenty of people to play with.
Very clean facilities.
Highly recommended and our children have already asked when we are going back!
