We got an excellent deal for our stay on this site - their website was advertising two nights for £20 to boost occupancy on a quiet weekend, making it excellent value. We had originally been quoted £18 per night, so it's well worth checking their website before you book.
The location is spectacular, with views over Howarth stretching for miles across the moors. The access road is fairly narrow, but there are passing places and it is pretty quiet. Be sure to take their website's advice about the best way to approach the site - some of the surrounding roads are very steep and very narrow, and will definitely tax underpowered or overlong units.
The owners/staff were all friendly and helpful (and Budgie the parrot was a source of great entertainment - and education!). We didn't make use of the food/bar/entertainment as we had a busy weekend planned, but it seemed very popular and was a useful option to have. We were very tempted by the option to extend our stay to 3. 30pm on Sunday if we took the Sunday Lunch in the bar but unfortunately our timings didn't let us :-(
The pitches were all well maintained, there seemed to be a lot of seasonal caravans there and I can imagine that it would be very popular. There's a small children's playground on site which was popular with our 2 and 7 year olds. The facilities were spotless whenever we used them - there's a £10 deposit for the key fob which was refunded on return. The 50p charge for the showers was irritating, but was explained by the need to curb water usage as part of their operating licence.
All in all, it's a beautifully looked after site - a little larger than we usually use, but we probably will go back as it's close-ish to home but feels a million miles from anywhere!

As a seasoned user of the tent, this was the first time I used a pod and I'm sure it will not be the last time. I have a family of 5 and we took the dog and I would not be over stating the point if I said it was tight. The pod makes the whole camping experience so much easier and quicker and you don't have to worry about taking the tent down in the rain. The camp site is excellent and I loved the club house which is very kid friendly. The surrounding area was great for dogs with some fantastic views. Only small negative point was that I didn't like the security tag for the toilets to gain entry however the toilets was always clean and tidy.

First visit to this site and we were not disappointed. The site has a mixture of touring pitches, seasonal pitches, static vans, holiday homes and the ever popular 'PODS'. The toilet block is by far the best that we have seen in 7 years. Site security and access is by a key fob which also operates the toilet block. The views from the site are wonderful. The on site bar is welcoming and reasonably priced. My only gripe is the amount of children who were let loose and ran between our unit and car making quite a lot of noise and disruption. The site is ideally situated for all the sites in the local area. The Black Bull and Fleece were two very nice pubs in Haworth that openly welcome dogs. Will visit again but possibly before or after school holidays.

This was our third visit to the site that we happened across when looking for somewhere near Leeds where our daughter is at uni. It's spotlessly clean and secure with fob access through the gate most of the time and to the toilets, showers and washing up all the time. We did curse this once, when our potty-training youngster wanted the loo while we were on our way out walking the dogs and the rest of the family were back at the van, with the fob. I am sure they will let us have a second for an extra deposit next time. Staff are friendly and helpful, the bar feels like a village pub and fees are modest. Jogging and dog walking opportunities are great and the free WiFi, accessible only around the bar/reception area, offers more bandwidth than we've found elsewhere. The playground is visible from many pitches and there is a slightly dated but reasonably priced games/amusements area next to the bar and a small shop that should meet your emergency needs. A very good park in a great location that won't break the bank.

We ( two couples ) stayed in a Mega Pod. It was great. It wasn't massive, but had everything you needed for a comfortable weekend away. I would suggest though that if you are sharing, they are good friends and neither party is too shy, bashful or snores too loudly, as you are living in such close quarters. Lol
The site is located in beautiful surrounding countryside and next to it is a private air strip, we had much fun watching the small planes taking off and landing.
The site is scrupulously clean and very well laid out. The clubhouse is adequate and has a separate games room for kids, pool tables and an outside area.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We needed to leave before the office opened and were able to hand our key fob in and get a refund from the gentleman who was maintaining the scrupulously clean toilet block.
We would not hesitate to go again and may even take our ' yet to be used ' pop up tent ! ; )
Just one thing. Take some insect repellent. Not the sites fault. But got bit LOTS by midges.
All in all, a lovely, friendly place and we're looking forward to going again. We only live 5 miles away. So it MUST be good ! ; )

We stayed in a medium sized camping pod over the May bank holiday weekend. The pod was lovely and warm and for an additional five pounds each we purchased the camping beds. However, we did find it a bit too small for a family of three with a dog. We were in one of the pods at the bottom of the size, which was a bit of a walk to the toilets in the middle of the night but the views when waking in the morning more than compensated for this!
Children's play area was a big hit with our daughter. The bar was nice and we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic - huge portion sizes and very tasty!
You do have to pay for the showers and I found that I needed two 50 pence pieces, I do have long hair and don't like to rush! I never had to wait for a shower even though the site was busy.
We wanted to visit again during the August bank holiday in our own tent this time but it's fully booked. Will try again next year.
Overall a very pleasant stay.

MEGA POD.
We stayed for 3 nights in a mega pod during the March blizzards !
We had a good trip over until the last half a mile, when we got there the road was getting blocked by the snow due to the strong winds, a very nice local couple give us a lift up to the site in there 4x4 camper.
We are big campers normally under canvas, but the mega pod was fab, so cosy and warm, with the extra benefits of the loo, heating, electric, idea for the cooler season.
We picked the worse weekend of this year so far, the snow just came down so fast and drifted and blocked the road, it was a sight to see, but it was all part of a very good long weekend away.
The site was fairly quite, no surprising really !
The food on a evening was very nice and the chef Pete does a great job. A very nice atmosphere on the site and very friendly in the bar with the staff and the residents/visitors. Good log fire which was just what you needed. We were made to feel very welcome at all times. Nothing was to much trouble while we stayed on site. Terry who was running the bar /fire was a really germ.
The road was blocked from Friday until Monday and the local farmer did a great job at getting it open on Monday lunch time, 5foot snow drifts was a sight to see. Karen did a free buffet on Sunday night for all the people which was on site which went down very well. William (I think ) the grounds man who also got stuck and can't get home spent so much time clearing the path out of the pods, time after time when the snow drifted. Thank you so much. Monday lunch time Frank (the owner)took us down to were we had left the cars in his off road buggie. Great fun so we could drive up to the site and collect your things and made sure we got out safely.
Forget the weather. The pods are fab and its a well run site with very friendly staff who care about what they are doing. Will be back in summer. Pity its not nearer to were we live or would be going a lot more.

Back again to this fantastic site. We again stayed in a pod. On Saturday night they held a fantastic firework display (well worth seeing) serving a roast hog and hot dogs etc. A disco was also in the club house. As in my previous comments, everything was clean and spotless (even though the place was very busy) and staff made you feel welcome and couldn't do enough for you. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

Our third time to this site and as good as ever. Very friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Ate in bar on ready and had a good pub meal. Also had breakfast on Sunday before we went home, unfortunately they had run out of a few items and I paid extra for a big breakfast and a few items were missing and it seemed the same as a normal breakfast.
Visited both the fleece pub and old hall inn in Howorth, both child friendly and great local pubs with log fires to welcome and warm you up.
This is a fab site and will be returning soon.
