My partner and I booked this site at the last minute, for the May Bank Holiday. We had a non-serviced pitch.
We got there late on the Saturday afternoon which meant that there wasn't a great deal of choice in terms of pitches but we still found a nice spot with plenty of space although if you like to choose were you pitch up, I’d recommend you get there as early as possible.
The staff are friendly and helpful, if a little run off their feet at peak times - especially in the well stocked shop. The site is clean and well kept and the shower and toilet facilities, in the middle of the park, are new and well thought out but don’t have any hairdryers. However, because we went at high season I had to queue for the shower first thing and there were also queues early evening too.
The Bar is a nice little venue, the food quite nice, the staff helpful and there is a segregated Over 18s area for the adults – which we quite liked – to sit and have a relaxing drink. In addition, there is quite a bit of seating next to the disco and entertainment area for those with children or who have taken their pets.
This is definitely a good, fun, lively campsite – especially for families and groups. Although, possibly it might not be your first choice if you’re looking for a little more peace and tranquillity.

A really great site - if you pick your pitch well. We went without hook up and I have to say these pitches are far far better. The serviced ones looked awfully crowded while those of us in the non serviced ones had loads of space. We cancelled our first night because of terrible weather and although had fully expected to pay for it they didn't charge. A pleasant surprise.
Facilities furthest from reception are lovely, the others I didn't use as were quite shabby. Beautiful location and stunning country views. Great site for kite flying as proximity to coast means very windy but we found a lovely corner pitch backed by trees and shrubs so nice and sheltered. We were lucky with the weather, the few days leading up to our stay had been constant rain according to our neighbours.
A good family site with good facilities and the kids loved the play area. Warning to parents: a huge bouncy castle went up each evening which was pretty expensive for just a few minutes play. If you are there a few nights and have more than one child giving in to pester power will be expensive. Biggest surprise was the on site bar-barn where I had not expected such great food. The staff were great. Helpful and courteous - great service in the barn and the shop was very well stocked. Overall a great site.

We spent a couple of nights at this park with some friends on electric hook up. Didn't really use the shop or the entertainment but what we saw of it looked good. I didn't have a problem with the toilet block, bit dated but other than that no problem (as mentioned before, this is a camp site and is used by many). The new toilet block I believed was still being finalised at the time and so we didn't use it (didn't need to as we were pitched closer to the pool, etc). The pool was lovely and clean. We were fortunate to have nice weather when we went and so spent a day on Weymouth beach. Parking was OK but you had to park a little way out and as the beach is mostly pebbles we had a bit of a treck to get to a sandy part of the beach. But it was a lovely clean beach. The sea was nice and clear and we were fortunate enough to have some fish swim near where we bathed. The park was great value for money, a nice site and we wouldn't hesitate in using this park again.

What a great site, it was our first time camping and the site was fully equipped with great showers and washing-up facilities. The site owners were friendly and helpful. The shop was well priced and catered for all your needs. A really great site and shall be going back next year. All in all a really great site and can't wait to go back.

Toilet/shower block clean but needs updating. Play area was functional. Shared facilities in the Sea Barn site next door are looked good although we didn't get chance to use the pool. Food in the Barn was good, especially breakfast. N.B. Don't pitch at the top of the field, its far too windy.

Just got back from two nights at this site, but hadn't checked online as we had booked somewhere else first, but left after one night. What a lovely site. Shower blocks are finished and amazing even had family bathrooms with full size bath. It looked like the old blocks that are still in use had been refurbished. I used both and had no complaints they where very clean and plenty of hot water. The bar area had an adults only area (Not very strictly enforced, but ok non the less.) Plenty of room for the kids to run round and they had entertainment on that most of the kids seemed to be having a whale of a time. (we don't have any). Food looked ok but we didn't have any. Swimming pool was in use and popular. Shop was well stocked and not too overpriced Great access to the coastal path. Would recommend it to families and couples as long as you don't mind some children around. Really enjoyed it and would consider going back.

Checked the reviews on this site before we went at whitsun. Had already booked but the reports of the toilet and shower blocks nearly put me off. Was very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Yes, they were very old but I thought they were absolutely fine. They were clean and warm and couldn't really ask for any more. Found the site to be lovely and well spaced. Our little boy loved the pool and the bar at night. Weekend turned out to be a washout but that was just one of those things! Would definitely go back.

Having read the previous reviews of this place I was expecting manky toilets / showers but I was pleasantly surprised. There was sufficient for all and they were cleaned regularly. I understand that a new block will be opening later this year, so it can only get better. It is true that washing up facilities are open to the elements so this was not so good. We arrived on a glorious day but the weather quickly took a turn for the worse and washing up became a real issue, we got as wet as the dishes. Although the weather was against us we still made the best of things, enjoyed the entertainment in the barn for the two nights we were there. It was geared mainly for the kids, and they thoroughly enjoyed the games and the dancing. The swimming pool was quite large and very clean looking, I regret that due to weather we didn't get a chance to use it. The shop was very well stocked and the staff were very friendly. The large open field for ball games etc is an excellent idea. It keeps balls and the noise away from the tents. The pitches are large, and the grass kept short. This site offered value for money, and was ideal for us to explore the surrounding attractions. The swannery at Abbotsbury is a must at this time of year! so many beautiful cygnets, and only a 10 minute drive. There is a minibus which visits the site each day to take people to Weymouth if they have no transport of their own. I will certainly be visiting again, and have recommended site to my camping friends. Congratulations to West Fleet holiday farm for providing everything I expect from a medium priced camp site.

Just got back from our camping trip at west fleet. There is loads of space at this site, which is an absolute must. Yes the toilet block is old but while we were there they were always clean. No soap dispensers or hand dryers in the top set of toilets, but after the first time you visit you can always take a towel. Will be looking forward to the new toilet block being finished. The bar is adequate and the food pretty good although a little basic. You just have to remember that this is camping not a 5* hotel. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here for two nights over Easter. As mentioned in previous reviews the toilet block is disgusting it's old and need pulling down there is cracks all up the walls. The chemical disposal door was smashed in with shards of wood hanging out. In the ladies all the locks on the toilet door were rusty and a job to open or lock. There were no hairdryers, paper towels or handryers so unless you take a towel with you, you have to wipe your hands on your clothes. As mentioned in previous reviews the toiet block was full of cobwebs and creepy crawlies, didn't see a cleaner the whole time we were there! The dish washing area is completly outside with no hot water at all so if it's raining your nice clean washing up gets covered in rain water.
Swiming pool was out of action when we went but no notices telling you why, had to ask in shop. There is building work currently in progress so hopefully that will be a new state of the art toilet block with hand dryers?
But if you want budget camping and can put up with the toilets then it's fine. The pitches are huge well spaced out with fab views, it's just the toilet block that lets it down for me.
