What a fantastic site. Just returned from a weekend visit as we live an hour away. Location great, just off A1 and within 15 mins drive of Holy Island, Bamburgh, Seahouses and Wooler.
Facilities best I have seen (showers, laundry and toilets). Pitch was in large field at the front, so the kids had the full run on spacious flat grass. Ideal for the kids to take bikes, scooters etc (wish we had taken ours).
The front field is separated by the main drive into the site. Families on one side, adults only on the other.
There is a small wood and playground behind the caravan site to keep the kids occupied the and wardens often drive around site on their quads checking everything is fine and keeping the place tidy.
Belford itself is 5/6 mins walk with handy co-op and chip shop and a few pubs. Golf club is nearer which does good value meals on Sun & Thurs.
Will be back as soon as we can.

What a fantastic site! Perfect for kids as there was a small park (could do with some swings though), woods (with stream) and a huge area for them to play ball games etc.
Toilet and showers were excellent, plenty of hot water and the family rooms a godsend especially with 2 kids! Nothing was too much trouble, any problems got sorted quickly and someone was on hand 24hrs. Everything went quiet from 11pm which was great as it ensured a good nights sleep. The site was well managed and very clean. There was tight control on how many pitches were allowed so as not to create queues for the showers etc.
Lots to see and do in surrounding area - Alnwick castle and Gardens a great day out, especially the water features for the kids to play in at the gardens! Chippy in the village did the best fish and chips we've ever had! Oh and not forgetting the fabulous beaches within a 10 min drive.
We will return!

Stayed here fo 10 nights to Aug 7. Site is mainly for caravans but there are not too many and don't dominate the site. There are two large fields at front and rear for tents. They don't fill the fields so there is loads of room for kids (and adults)to play.
Nearest shop is COOP which is open 8am-10pm ten mins walk into Belford. If you don't want to cook there is a good chippy in the village and the golf club 5 mins walk up the road does the best meals in the village.
Site owners are extremely helpful and friendly and keep the site very clean and the toilets always immaculate and stocked with loo paper. Showers are free and always hot. All types of gas available and reception posts weather forecast and has lots of local info.
Loads to do in the area: castles galore, Lindesfarne, walking on the Cheviots and great beaches.
The only reason I don't give the site a 10/10 rating is that I camp in France where for the same money there would be a pool, restaurant/bar and shop on site.
We had a lovely time and only had half a day of rain so came home suntanned.

Toilet and shower blocks were 5 star, could not fault them at all.
Plenty of space on the tent fields, one side for EHU the other non EHU. Further areas available for all the essential playing activities.
Kids play area also available, along with walks in the woods.
No on-site shop, but village shops just a short walk away.
Easy access to the Coastal Route, making some of Northumberland's most attractive spots easily available.
Great site, will be returning.

Camped here for 8 nights & would have stayed longer, but weather forecast was a bit grim. Anything this site lacks is available in Belford (5 mins walk away) - there's a even a skatepark in the village. Co-op is open early till late & is big enough to stock anything you might need. The on-site play area was tucked away from the touring pitches & was small but adequate (for a 4 & 5 year-old (& probably a bit older)). Grass throughout the site is kept really short & we rarely found ourselves trailing it into the tent. There's a vast open field at the entrance where a lot of campers played ball or flew kites.
We tried out the local fish & chip shop & although it took some time it was worth the wait. We also ate at the Belford golf club which had an extensive (though a bit pricey) menu.
Alnwick castle & gardens (15 mins south)is a must (take change of clothes & a towel for kids as they'll insist on getting wet). This worked out at £35 for the family with the bonus of being able to re-visit the following day for free.
Bamburgh beach is to die for (5 miles). Turn left at The Wynding before you reach the castle for free parking & avoiding having to cross sand dunes & spikey marram grass if your kids are wingers like ours. Our girls spent hours building dams & water courses aside from making perfect sandcastles.
A trip to the Farne's from Seahouses is also highly recommended. However if the tide's coming in & the wind is south westerly you'll have a rough ride.
The family shower rooms were BRILLIANT. Showers had great pressure & adjustable temperature. Regular showers were not quite as good but still some of the best we've come across. Only once had to queue for the loo.
The site does have recycling facilities but they're quite hard to find (on the way to the pot wash) & could do to be better advertised. Only 4 sinks for pot wash so often queued. However it was good to chat to fellow campers whilst we waited & the site prefer you to use their wash-up liquid to help with the waste 'digester'
2 very minor points against the site - the digester did occasionally smell & I wouldn't have liked to have been pitched near it for this reason. A previous reviewer complained about lorries/industrial estate. Although you can see the grain stores on the other side of the A1 we didn't find them obtrusive. There is a large unit opposite the site entrance which looked to house road chippings(?). As a light sleeper after 4am, I was occasionally woken at 5.45am by a lorry on the side road, but I can't say this spoiled our stay at all - it just gave me more time to read my book before the kids got up!
An excellent site which I can't recommend enough.

This site provides everything you would want from a camping holiday. The toilet and shower facilities are excellent, with the family showers being especially useful for sorting the kids!
Friendly staff who are always around to answer any queries. Plenty of space for the kids to run around at the front of the site too.
Its about a 20 minute walk into the village where there is a co op, newsagents and pubs. A 10 minute drive to Bamburgh.
Overall a big site with a small site feel, good value for the money.

We used this site for one of our club events in Northumberland.
Owner very friendly and will do anything to help.
Site is lovely and clean and the toilet/shower block is brilliant!
This site is well located just off the A1 at Belford and located within easy reach of Holy Island,Bamburgh,Sea houses.
There is no playpark on this site but you don't need it with the grassy area out front.Wonderful!

We Stayed here for 3 nights on electric hook up with another family who were in a touring caravan. This site is fab. Toilets are prob the best I've seen in 8 years of camping. Owners are always around and very helpful. They make sure that there's no noise after 12. The site is half touring and half seasonal pitches. Owners site everyone so your quite well spaced out. It's very well kept. Safe for the kids to ride bikes. Lovely wood for them to play in and a small park at the back of the site. Plenty of space in the tent field for ball games. Only about 20 mins drive to the sea. We will def return later in the year!

Fantastic! Plenty of room between units and plenty of room for the kids to play! The toilets were spotless, excellent family showers (separate) The people who have left reviews saying no kids play area didn't look hard enough! It is located behind the hard standing pitches right at the back of the site, next to the dog walk. We'll be returning! Highly recommended. (the nice helpful chap even sited our van.Bonus!)

I love this site, easy to get to, flat, loads of sites to see and things to do in the area (cragside is beautiful), quiet and the showers and toilets are immaculate! There is a small play area for the kids and walks in the woods, other campers when we were there were friendly and a much welcomed help when the wind made pitching our tent impossible. I would recommend to anyone and would go back again without hesitation.
