We stayed here for four nights and had only booked a week or so before. When we arrived the lady in reception couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and guided us to the tent field where we could pitch where we liked. The pitches are really level and despite some heavy rain the ground was firm and dried out quickly. The toilets and showers are spotless and there is loads of (free) hot water. There is also a cafe on site where they will freeze your ice blocks as well as selling fantastic cakes and pies to take away. All in this is a really great site - straight off the A1, walking distance to the village - pubs and 8 til late shops and really central for visiting Lindisfarne , Alnwick etc but I did have a couple of niggles: Although according to the literature (and the manager by phone) all pitches have EHU included in the price this is not the case for tents so be warned. We don't actually have an EHU yet but I felt a discount would have been nice as it is quite pricy @ £18 per night. Also the kids play area is tucked away in a far corner of the caravan site so you have to escort your children every time they want to play. However I must mention that when some rowdy teenagers pitched up and started messing about in their cars AFTER drinking copious amounts of wine the owner was VERY quick to read them the riot act. We had a great time and would probably return if we were visiting the area again.

This really is a 5 star site. Toilets and showers immaculate. Owner very friendly and helpful. We camped here for a very rainy weekend at the end of July and the cafe/restaurant was very welcome for breakfast. Field for tents is massive - lots of room. Cannot imagine it ever gets full thefore always plenty of personal space. Ideal location for exploring Lindisfarne, Bamburgh etc. Village of Belford only a 10 min walk with good selection of pubs and Spar for food. Would definitely stay here again.

What a great well kept site. No noise, plenty of space to pitch the tent away from crowds. Toilets and washrooms first class, and also a great Cafe. Has a good kids park as well as a country dog walk round the site. It's well off the main road and only a short walk to Belford, for a few Pints! I'll certainly be going back

May 2005 We stayed at this campsite as a group of six adults, three children and four dogs at the end of May bank holiday weekend. What a fantastic site. It was very quiet with only a few tents and we had a huge field all to ourselves in which the kids could play and the dogs could run. The site was peaceful and the amenities are immaculate. The best site we have ever been to and will be returning to! Thanks for a fabulous weekend x
