Stayed for 3 nights in August, facilities are first class, very clean and modern. Especially found the family bathrooms a great bonus as they give you a little more privacy although the main facilities are just as good.
Site is very nice no restriction on size of tent and there is a large field for kids to play in far enough away from the tents but close enough to be seen.
The only downside was the weather on the third day, it rained all night and day which left the site very muddy. Could have been improved if there was a gravel path for the cars to drive on as they created alot of mud.
All in all a great site.

Stayed just the one night and it poured down, but still had a good time. Nice site with very clean shower / toilet block and will definitely return, thumbs up from me. Nice walk to village centre when the rain stopped a few good pubs good chippy and small but well stocked coop. On site also has good caravan pitches, laundry / driers no shop but snack machine. Plenty of space on adjacent fields for the little kids and us big kids to play.

Stayed here for 10 nights in early July.
Lovely site, large wide open flat grass area for pitching tents.
Free to pitch tent where we wanted.
Toilet blocks very clean at all times and good facilities all round althought low water pressure in toilet sinks proved tiresome when trying to wash and shave. (Possibly done to preserve hot water?)
Pleasant staff always willing to help and give advice and site well managed.
Good location for visiting Northumberland, Holy Island etc.
Meals out at Belford Golf Club recommended within easy walking distance from the camp site.
Local Co-op in Belford good for emergency groceries but would recommend Morrisons in Berwick upon Tweed for main shopping

Stayed here for one night and was very impressed. Site staff were excellent and will pitch you unit for you. Facilities were spotless and modern. Down the road in the village of Belford which has nice pubs. The coast is also nearby and Bamburgh Castle is definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic site. Site is well laid out and there is plenty of room between pitches. Facilities are some of the best I have seen. Location is great for walking and Belford is a short walk away. Would recommend the fish and chip shop opposite the co-op. I will be returning to this site.

One of the few sites open at this time of year. Very well laid out and loved our pitch with its own patio. We received a warm welcome and both the site and the facilities are immaculate. Plenty of showers etc. And even cubicles with wash basins in. Dogs welcome and woodland walks close by. Ideal site for touring this beautiful part of Northumberland. Didn't think it was too expensive. We don't mind paying for great facilities and cleanliness. This is one site we WILL definitley be returning to and one we would heartily recommend.

This is a real nice site - but extremely expensive seeing we were on a field. The shower block is immaculate and we were impressed to see, in the brochure, that there was a restaurant on site. Sadly this was closed which I thought a odd, especially at the end of August. Surely the last weeks of the English summer holidays mean it would have been open? Strange I know but there was actually no-one around to ask as the site owner seemed more busy on his motorbike and the reception was rarely open. This is a site we won't be returning to.

South Meadows, Belford, is just off the A1 London-Edinburgh trunk route in a pleasant village with 3 pubs a few shops. Ideally placed to explore the borders and wild Northumberland. You will not find a better site than this in terms of layout and facilities. Vans are generously spaced out and many pitches have hard standings and paved patio areas with services laid on. The washroom facilities are EXCELLENT, spotlessly clean, ample and free. An on-site cafe-bistro serves great snacks and meals. South Meadows is in a great situation to explore the beautiful Northumberland Coast, with its world-class beaches - visiting Bamburgh and Seahouses, both within 8miles. South Meadows will offer you a warm welcome in return for observance of its calm atmosphere and respect for the proprietor's very high standards. Nightly rates may seem expensive, but as with everything in life "you gets what you pays for" and at South Meadows you pay forand get real QUALITY. Many sites are occupied on a seasonal (12 month) basis and the relatively few touring pitches get booked up rapidly - especially at school / public holiday times. Book early and you won't be disappointed.

Have visited this site on numerous occasions and have to say that it well deserves the 5 star rating! The facilities are fantastic and the site is immaculate, the owner is very friendly and helpful. there is no shop on site but the Co Op in Belford is a few Min's drive away along with the Fish & Chip shop. Would definitely recommend this site to anyone

Stayed here July 2007 with touring caravan and friends with tent. Really lovely site with spotless shower facilities and large family type rooms with power showers. Play area which was not pointed out to us was at far left corner of site. Huge grass field perfect for cricket and rounders etc Totally recommend here.
