The touring site is about half a mile south of the main site entrance, nearer to Mablethorpe. Reception is 500 yards through lots of statics. It was fairly full on the weekend we were there, but the shower blocks coped quite well. The site is not completely flat, but you should be able to find a level pitch if you are in a tent. If you want to visit the main site (shop and bar, with the usual Haven entertainment) it is a 15 minute stroll. The chip shop opens at 16.00, even on a Saturday, but the shop does hot food. The lake at the touring site is well stocked with fish, and most anglers seemed to do well. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they do their best to keep the facilities clean. Sadly some of the customers left a little more to be desired. Someone thought it would be a good idea to remove all of the plugs from the basins - and some of the soap dispencers. Talking to the staff this is a frequent problem. Worse than that, someone deliberately filled the urinal drain with toilet rolls, flooding half the shower block. The maintenace people were out before 09.00 on the Sunday and soon had it fixed. The staff seem to do their best, but you take pot luck with the customers.

Hmm, where to start, for a Haven site the touring section is quiet, mainly because its a mile from the entertainment complex, this is not so bad during the day as theres a land train running every 1/2 hour or so from 9am till 5pm but at night its a bit of a trek.
The pitches were plenty big enough, and 6M is left between you and your neighbour so only every other pitch is used, and these are rotated. Unfortunatly they werent the most level of pitches, and most seemed to have at least a few lumps/ruts etc.
There are 2 shower/toilet blocks, the first is behind the wardens office, these are clen and tidy, but showers too hot, and no seperate area to change, the newer block is much better, although still no seperate changing area in the mens. (there is in the ladies apparently) The cubicles are much bigger so you dont have to be quite as careful these showers are also slightly cooler than the others making it more bearable.
The kids enteratinment is great, ours loved it, unfortunatly there seems to be some need to jack the volume up after 9 to the point it is unbearable at which point we decided to return to our van.
The staff are all friendly and helpful, although there is a high proportion of new staff this season so they are still settling it after all it is only the 3rd week of the season.
Overall not a bad site, we will probably return.

Booked for a week here and feel ripped off, don't judge this site by brochure! Field for tourers was terrible uneven and very muddy. Be prepared for a 15 minute walk to main area (club, swimming pool, play area etc). Went into wrong entrance and very difficult to get back out, tourers area very badly sign posted. Staff helpful that is one plus! Showers ok, not very hot water and stupid push button for 15 seconds of water, NOWHERE to put anything when in shower and only 3 showers in ladies, always a queue in peak season. To obtain a table in clubhouse had to go over at 5pm and you will still be near the back. Good entertainment for the kids second plus! Beer pitchers are a reasonable price, beach is superb third plus.! That would be the only pluses we would give though, HAVEN you need to buck your ideas up, tourers are not after thoughts we come to you and spend money too!

What to say about this camp. Basically it needs a lot of money investing in it. It really could do with having its own play area for the kids, a pub and a shop minimum. Could do with another shower and toilet block. They should reinstate the little train that use to take you to the main camp because it is quite a walk. The only positive thing on the site is the touring staff. We decided to walk to the entertainment on the Saturday night, by seven 0'clock the kids area was packed and no tables. Not a problem for us because we only had a teenager with us and decided to go upstairs to the family bar area. We were told that no under 18's were allowed in until 8.00pm because they were playing bingo. So after sitting outside for an hour, we eventually got in to get a table. Unfortunately the entertainment was quizzes and raffles before any acts which did not come on until 9.15pm. People were told not to dance until the acts invited you on the dance floor and two members of staff were sat on the dance floor to guard it. By then we had enough and walked back to the touring bit. Sometimes you can get cheap deals on line for Haven but I would prefer to pay the extra

Well, what can I say! It was our 1st visit to a haven site & if this one is to go by, they are definetly over priced & over rated. The pitches are uneven & in the back end of beyond, it's an extremly long walk over to where the site shop & amenities are, there is however an irregular train that runs when they feel like it (supposedly every half hour). We spent a lot of time on the lovely beach away from the people on site, as a lot of them were very "rough" and on the ocassions we visited the toilets after the cleaners went off duty, they were terribly dirty we saw excrement everywhere including in a sink one night.
On an upside, the warden was very nice and polite & when the cleaners were on duty, the toilets were clean. The laundrette, although very expensive, was clean, the laundrette on the site in between the main haven site & the part where we were is cheaper & the pub there is also better, so we went there instead!
There were a few dogs on the part where we were sited & some were allowed to roam

Spent 3 nights here, tents are well out of the way but are serviced by a small train running between camping and main site. Pitches are small and not well set out, we were behind the reception area and we seem to be on top of our neighbours. Staff are very helpful and friendly taking you to your site rather than giving you a map. No gazebos allowed due they said to space, this seemed silly when you see the size of some of the caravan awnings. Toilet blocks are good and cleaned regular, showers hot and plenty of room. Although they get busy at certain times, if your planning to go out get in before the main rush. If not wait till 8ish (pm) its much quieter. Beach is over the road through the dunes,(very hard to get through with young children) but walk a little further down the road to the car park on the road towards Mablethorpe oposite the cinema it is easier to get on to the beach, and there is a toilet block and small cafe the beach is golden and clean. A private train runs a service from just outside the camp into Mablethorpe ( this is nothing to do with the site) it takes about 20 minutes to walk. Mablethorpe offers plenty of markets and cheap shops, a supermarket and good restaurants, amusements and small rides park. But the beaches are long golden and clean. Easy drive to Skegness and other coastal resorts. This site being an haven site was friendly but not well set out for tents.

Upon arrival touring site was not sign posted very well, but when we checked staff was very helpful and showed us to our pitch. Pitches were very uneven and very boggy but due to very heavy rain recently to be expected. Toilets were clean, showers were clean but very badly designed , nowhere to hang any thing, silly press button that lasted a whole 10 seconds of water, long queues for showers in ladies. Long walk for kids play area and all amenities Touring pitches seem to be back of beyond and forgotten about

First visit to a Haven site and to be honest I wouldnt be bothered about visiting another, the ground was uneven, toilets clean, showers ok although had to run for a while until became hot. As not on main complex had a good 10min walk along main road to Mablethorpe to access amenities, swimming pool seemed good but I though abit pricey considering you had passes (really didnt seem to add up to much) Indoor play area shut at 5pm so I had 1 child swimming until 6pm and 2nd child had to sit around with nothing to do except play on slot machines. Even needed your passes to go to site shop, all in all I think Haven holidays are overrated

One tip don't drive in the 1st entrance as you have to turn around in the car park and is very tight, carry on to the 3rd left which has a small board saying "Touring" - shame on you Haven Site clean, hot showers, uneven ground. Haven main site too big, pool too small and the beach is nice.
