Just visited this spacious site, the toilet facilities being modern, however lacked attention at weekends. (TLC needed).
The touring site is situated at the rear of the main Haven static park, a long stroll to to facilities~~ club, shop, etc. Spar general stores with an extensive stock, but be prepared to pay high prices.
Drinks are priced reasonably in the bars.
However whilst we were there my wife saw rats running in the undergrowth only 2m from our Motor home, this was reported to the site reception, alas there was no follow up, & as far as we are aware there has been no action, campers beware keep food & waste off ground level.

We booked to stay for 4 nights but had such a great time that we stayed an extra night which could have been 2 weeks.
The park was about a 20 min walk to the main site with all the entertainment but did not bother us.
Showers toilet was ok a little old but clean and always had toilet roll.
What can we say about the beach but it was ace. You can believe you are abroad it is mile upon mile of golden sand which was ace.
Would we go back? hell yes we have booked for this summer.

We booked to stay for 4 nights but had such a great time that we stayed an extra night.
Tent field was almost empty so we had the pick of the field. There is a large gaggle of resident geese next to the tent field so finding an area that was reasonably clear of droppings maybe difficult in peak season.
Toilet/shower block was okay and reasonably clean.
The walk to the main site took about 10 mins which we didn't mind, and the walk to the beach was great although the dunes were slightly larger than we thought.
For the price we paid we were really happy and we are considering going back again next year.

We have stayed on this campsite on numerous occasions the last one being Easter this year we and the kids love this campsite and have made many friends on here, the toilet and shower blocks are clean and the showers are lovely and hot, there is a pot washing area with hot and cold water this is a great place for kids and their push bikes, my little girl learned to ride her pushbike without stablisers on it here, would recommend to anyone young and old the staff are very helpful.

Arrived about 15 minutes before our check in time of 12 o'clock but the warden didn't mind and was very helpful and showed us to our pitch. The ground was a little uneven but that's not really a problem in a tent, although one or two of the caravan around had wonky awnings!
The site had 2 toilet/shower blocks, both of which could benefit from being revamped, the 24 hr block was nicer than the one next to the reception. The showers were warm when I used them but the washing up water does take a long time to come through hot.
All in all quite a good site for what we paid but I do think it has been forgotten by haven, it is supposed to be part of golden sands but the main site is a 15 minute walk, ok not that far but when your 6 yr old wants to do lots of different things it means a lot of planning or a lot of walking backwards and forwards. It could also benefit from a play area for the children.

Stayed on this site for two nights with our 2 young children. We had stayed here a couple of years ago in a tent so we already knew that the touring & tent area was separate from the main complex which is what we prefer.
We had a an electric pitch which was OK but the ground was quite rough and a few pot holes could be found. We were just across the road from the toilet / shower block (near the lake)which was convenient. The toilets weren't particularly clean and there was no toilet paper to be found first thing in the morning so make sure you take your own. We felt that the block was dated and needed a thorough bottoming and not just dolloping some cleaning fluid in the loo. None of us couldn't face using the showers so we showered in the main complex swimming pool area.
The bar/restaurant was fine but again felt like it needed a thorough clean. The carpets were sticky and everywhere smelt grubby. The food was fine tough and the atmosphere pleasant.
We only paid £35 in total for 2 nights for a family of 4 including fun passes so didn't feel it necessary to make a fuss but if we'd paid around £50+ then we wouldn't have been happy.
The beach is lovely and only a 10 min walk and def worth a visit.
All in all we had a good time but we were glad we had our own facilities in our caravan.

Me, my partner and two boys visited this site at the end of may this year, it cost us just 9 pounds on the internet to stop for two nights camping in our 6 berth tent. We did ask when we got there how much it would be for an extra night but it was going to be £30 a night which we didn't want to pay. This is a nice Haven site. It had a large camping field which is situated at the back of the static caravans. The field was nearly empty so we could have our pick at any pitch. There is a fishing lake with lots of trees and very large bushes which kept you protected from the wind. The were no playgrounds near us but the kids thought it was fantastic as they could build dens and run in and out of the woodlands, it gave them a bit of freedom under the watchful eye of us parents. Showers/toilets were at the side of reception which was only a stones throw away. They were basic but they did what they were supposed to do,There was also a separate side for washing up and drinking water. Other facilities and the entertainment was quite a walk away on the site next door (a few minutes ride in the car) we got our haven entertainment passes free which was a bonus. There were no shops near us, I think they had one on the main haven site but we went into Mablethorpe centre and shopped at the CO-OP. There is a pub just a few minutes down the road which serves nice caverys, even the kids wolfed down the dinner which is a good thing for my picky lot.

We went here with our 2 year old daughter and loved the site. The touring staff were really helpful even helping us first timers put our tent up even though it was pouring down. Cant comment on showers as we used the ones in the swimming pool instead to shower. Toilet block was adequate but the touring site was quiet when we were there. Choice of basic or electric pitches and the staff showed you to your pitch giving advice on which pitch was best as it was very wet. Pool was clean and decent size. Evening entertainment is great for kids but you will need to get table early. Large complex with good outdoor and indoor play area. There is supermarket on site with good choice of products as well as pub style eating place and fish and chips shop. 10 min walk to the complex from camping area but you can take short cut through some caravans instead of walking to main road.
Small seaside town up the road which you can walk to in 15/20 mins. My daughter played on the beach even though it was a little chilly she just wore her coat.
My only negative would be at night the walk through the caravan site to the touring section is very poorly lit but once on the touring section lighting is fine.

It's the first time we've been to this site. On arrival we realised that the camping and touring site was actually separate from the main site. This was ok if you enjoyed the 15 minute walk there and back (not good in the rain!) On a plus side you didn't here any noise from the main complex.
We were impressed with the sites facilities for campers, a toilet/shower block to the rear of the booking in office, was lovely and clean, plenty of toilet rolls, soap and hand dryers. There was always hot water, whatever time of day or night we decided to have a shower. The shower operated by pressing a button, I had to keep pressing mine about every 10 seconds (not easy to do with a face full of shampoo)
There was another shower block further over nearer the lake but we didn't use this, so can't comment.
There was a well stocked shop open for all groceries etc, very expensive though. We drove into mablethorpe to use the local co-op, which was reasonable.
The activities were excellent, the usual amusements, swimming, and crazy golf, go-karts etc all extra though (approx £1.50 for a go, the site is located straight opposite the beach, lovely if you get the weather.
There was a show bar and restaurant, we had a lovely meal and drinks and thought it was reasonable (£30 for x2 adults and x2 kids)
The only problem we encountered on this site was that we had noisy neighbours, they had music on one night until around midnight, there are signs up saying no noise tolerated after 9.30pm, but never saw any security patrolling to enforce this.
Staff were all very helpful though during the day.
We were enjoying our holiday until I got tangled in my sleeping bag and decided to dislocate my kneecap at 4.30am (I don't think the other campers were impressed by my screaming and the blue flashy lights) It was then that we realised that the nearest A&E was a 40min drive away, as mablethorpe only has a limited service. I was carted off to Grimsby Hospital, and then my hubby had to drive there to collect me!
I think we will locate the nearest hospital before booking our next trip!

I have just returned for one weeks camping and I am sorry to say this was this worst camping experience we have had.
Firstly, the site does not have enough toilet and shower blocks. The staff try their best, to keep them clean, but to my knowledge they were only cleaned once a day, with 3 fields using 2 blocks this needs to be more. I think its more to do with the other campers how disgusting they were, urinals blocked for 3 days, shower cubicles not cleaned properly, wood hanging off walls, toilets not flushed after use.
Secondly, communal wash up area was disgusting. People leaving left overs and scraps in sinks. Noisy neighbours shouting at kids at silly o'clock. Then we had 2 tents competing until 10.30 pm with a singing competition, no sign of security.
Main site 20 min walk, little train in day but stops runiing at 16.45. Not enough seats on train when busy and only every 45 mins
I would not recommend this site to anyone, glad to say it hasn't put us of camping, but would only stay in small family run sites now
