We had a really good time on this site, the welcome was very friendly, we got access to the clubhouse and swimming pools (these are only a short walk from the campsite) and the beach is just a bit further. The shower blocks were really nice and clean. It took us 15 minutes to walk to Mablethorpe town centre and the campsite is a 30 minute drive away from skegness. We are definatly going to return to this campsite next year.

We went as a group of 10 to the Haven Campsite at Mablethorpe. We have been to lots of campsites , including other Haven sites, without problems. While the area itself was good, with plenty to amuse, including close by nature reserves and seal sanctuaries, this was the worst campsite I have ever been on. Reasons were:
Incredible regimented layout - everything had to be measured out with string, and you could only have so much room as they said they needed 3M either side of tents for Fire Trucks!
Totally inconsistent application of the 'rules'. Not allows Gazebos with sides (first day) Not allowed Gazebos at all (fourth day) Not allowed Gazebos at all (Fifth day). But the tent next door can have one because they refused to take it down (as did we in the end) Cooker stolen (amazingly, recovered by Police) Site extremely boggy (only mud tracks at the far end - no roads) And the worst thing, a VAST distance between the campsite and the main Haven Resort. They laid on a train but I never saw it running in the evening (when you really need it)

Spent ten days tucked away on this site. Was quite gobsmacked that the kids had to walk right off of the site onto the main road to get to all the entertainment and swimming pools from our little remote area. The touring pitches were the furthest away from absolutely everything, and seemed very much an afterthought.
The showers were always clean, but there weren't enough of them and the timer was too short for the water. However, the beach is beautiful and never crowded, and the entertainment was excellent too, although the food service had a lot to be desired!

We visited here on bank holiday. The site is very well presented and very clean. The only thing which was disapointing was that is was quite a walk from the main haven site. However we found the haven site very expensive, so for our grocerys and cooked breakfast things we went to the local supermarket.
The wardens were very nice, friendly and helpful. The shower blocks were quite good, but the showers didnt work properly if you went at peak periods. We went on a particulary busy weekend, but were not pitched on top of each other. We had a great weekend, but did try to stay away from the haven site, not our cup of tea. Also I must mention that there is a land train, which can take you to the haven site, which is quite good, free and regular and the kids loved it. Also, there is a seal sanctuary just down the road walking distance, but I was so disapointed. It was alot of money, very smelly and took about 10 minutes to get round the whole thing. Waste of money.

July 2005 Have just spent a wonderful weekend at this site. Although the main faciliies are roughly 10 mins walk from the camping pitches its well worth the walk, the entertainment was excellent the kids are entertained from 6pm -9pm every evening, as well as during the day. with indoor and outdoor pools and an indoor soft play centra as well as arcades you can loose them for the day.
All your entertainment is included in the price and a fri-mon pitch with electric cost us £28.00 a bargain!
I only have one complaint which is that the showers are on a timer and you only get between 10 and 20 seconds of water before you have to press the button but by the end of the weekend i had it mastered.

July 2005 Hi just got back from this site on monday. Had an excellent time BUT...... found the site to be a little dissapointing. The shower block left a lot to be desired, the water was scolding hot with no way of controlling the temperature (my kids could not even use it they had to wash in a bowl of water all weekend). There was nowhere to dry yourself when you finished showering & if you showered in the busy period 5.30-7.30 there was no pressure whatsoever so you had to make do with a drizzle!!!also there was only 1 power point in the block.
Apart from that the site was excellent & the warden was very friendly & helpful if you have kids, be preparred for a walk to do anything though (including getting to the shop for supplies)

June 2005 A lovely campsite. Toilets and showers were clean and always had hot water. Club and facilities a good walk away, but did not pose any problems. Entertainment in the club was good. Plenty for the children to do. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools were warm, clean and tidy. We will definitely visit again.

March 2005 This was only the 2nd time camping & decided to take my step-sons, 14 & 12, for East weekend. Arrived at the site which is full of static caravans & went to reception, we were greeted & were passed our passes to get into Havens along with info about the site & local attractions. The warden cycled & showed us to our pitch, we had a choice of pitches as we arrived late morning.
Free showers were hot & clean. Wardens were always about cleaning, it seemed that everytime I nipped to the loos, there was a warden cleaning.
Beach is directly opposite Havens.
Quite a walk from the camp site to the main building. Club on site the campsite, which was never open. A cafe/shop would be highly beneficial to the site & Havens could make a killing! You cannot take Dogs into the main site.
Not a bad break away when you think you get your passes included in the price, which was £40.00 total for 2 nights for the 4 of us & our dog. Would come again, great for the lads, lots to do.

March 2005 Excellent, had a thouroughly enjoyable Easter weekend at this site. A little damp and slippery, but what do you expect in March!! We found the Warden and his staff to be very helpful and any problems were dealt with immediately. The shower blocks were always clean, in full working order and were monitored throughout the day to maintain this standard. Albeit that the main Clubhouse and facilities were some 10 mins walk from the Touring Park, this presented no problems to ourselves or my daughter and friend. As with all Haven Sites everything is all inclusive and all the amenities were available to us. We will definately visit again.

October 2004 been to this site this weekend and it was awful. The warden was very nice but the site, with no service roads or footpaths to individual pitches, the ground was very boggy and we were up to our knees in mud, our caravan was surrounded by water and we even had ducks swimming outside our caravan door!
