An excellent site. For once 'within easy walking distance' was true! Wallingford well worth the walk, excellent choice of pubs, restaurants and a Waitrose.
Site very dog friendly. Adjacent fields and walk to the river to tire out Jack Russell.
Facilities very good. Toilets and shower block excellent. Almost worth a visit to try out the hi-tech showers!
Owners and staff very helpful. Initially, we thought we might arrive late on Friday night which may have caused problems with security gate/barrier. Discussed this with the owner, who assured us that gaining access would not be a problem if we phoned as we approached.
Well appointed and reasonably priced shop.
I'm a little surprised at the comment ref children's play areas. Although there is no designated play area, there's plenty of open space, and the pitches had ample room for safe play (I accept the site was not full)
Will definitely be paying a return visit.

As the site was not too busy I was invited to choose my preferred pitch. It was a very quiet campsite at that time of year and I enjoyed it very much. I would camp there again.
In March of this year I attended a conference at Crowmarsh Gifford and, on this occasion, chose to stay in the en-suite bedroom that was added to Bridge Villa's facilities recently. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable.

As it was forecast a hot weekend, we did a last minute booking to Bridge Villa as only 30 mins from home.
I will start with the plus points- Although the site was very busy, the owner took the time to show us available pitches, we found one semi sheltered to get some shade and privacy.
The toilet/shower block was spotless, day and night and looked brand new. Showers were exceptional with no queue, possibly because 80% of the site was caravanners.
A quick walk into town, there are quaint coffee shops, antique shops, takeaways and a Waitrose.
The children loved messing about in the river, unfortunately the pool doesn't open until May.
On the negative side, there is nowhere for the children to play, unless they leave the site and go to the nearby field- we weren't happy for them to do that.
We were crammed in, but expected as Easter. Noise levels from a large group until 1.30am, left me feeling I would have preferred a smaller site but you can't choose your neighbours!
We may return, but adults only.

We have just spent a week at this site with our two dogs and could not fault it. The facilities in the toilet block are exceptional. The situation of the site is ideal for walking into Wallingford and for walks along the river in both directions. On my morning walk with the dogs I went a different way on each of the seven days. This is also an ideal centre for touring the Chilterns, the lack of traffic made driving enjoyable. Definitely one in the 'let's go again' folder.

We stayed at this site for 4 nights where we received a friendly welcome and were informed where all the facilities were including local shops etc. The site was very quiet as still early in the season and the shower block/toilet facilities were excellent and immaculate. The walk to the nearby river was less than 5 minutes away and the town was really nice with everything you needed. I can highly recommend the local indian restaurant 'Wallingford Tandoori' and they deliver to the campsite for free which was a bonus! The only slight negative point was the rcd on the electric hook ups were only 10amp, so had tendency to keep tripping! We will definitely be returning.

Stayed for four weeks in February 2011, site had just opened the shower and toilet block was brilliant. Also the washing facilities were excellent. We had a little rain when we stayed with it been in a sheltered location the grass soon starts to churn up a few people were struggling to pull away. The owners did help in this situation with a four wheel drive vehicle.
Close to the river and the town of wallingford all in walking distance. Will definitely go back good spot for walkers and cyclists.

A lovely site.
My grandson and I stayed for the duration of the Bunkfest (one of the local music festivals) and the site was full, but still very quiet, no rowdy neighbours, no queues for the loos and showers.
Everything is very clean. Good hot showers at no extra cost, plenty of loo paper.
The site is a short (maximum 10 minutes) walk to the town centre, the river Thames is even closer, just across the road.
This site has spurred me on to take up camping again.
Will visit again.

A very busy and clean site. Really great for a weekend although it could feel a little overcrowded for a longer stay when full. The hosts were very accommodating, and the on-site shop a real bonus. The site is as flat as a pancake so excellent for pitching a tent. Some of the pitches are a little small and looked like the larger tents were on top of each other. Location is great right on the river with frontage to go swimming, also outdoor (heated) swimming pool opposite. Wallingford a lovely little town with all amenities.

Fantastic location in Wallingford. The heated outdoor pool opposite is highly recommended. The site staff were very friendly and organised and site shop was reasonably priced.
The shower block was absolutely immaculate. The best we have seen in any campsite. Although it was the hottest day of the year, the loo block always smelled clean.
One issue which we heard others also talking about was the lack of recycling. There were no separate bins for paper, cans and bottles. Everything was just thrown in one bin for landfill. This is 2010 and really something the site should be doing properly.
Well done for a great facility. I look forward to returning and also seeing the recycling facilities. You could have large Biffa recycling bins near toilet block for paper, cans and bottles?

A great site. The amenities were fantastic, the best I have used, especially for a smaller site. We went with friends and it was a very social site. It is just by the river, with an outdoor pool opposite, which my kids loved. Wallingford is a very pretty town also and there are lots of restaurants and take-away places on your doorstep, including a Waitrose. The on-site shop is well stocked. The staff are extremely friendly. We are going to be going back very soon.
