Having spent many a holiday here as a child some 20+ years later decided to bring my children here. Was not disappointed. The site has a lovely new addition which is a barn type building with shower and toilets (always immaculately kept) washing facilities including 2 sinks and a washing machine and drier (tokens available at the on site shop. ) My only negative comment will be that with only 2 lovely Belfast sinks to wash your pots in when site was busy would sometimes have a little wait (but nothing major and always nice to chat to fellow campers whilst waiting) Little shop on site sells the expected essentials that one would need when camping and may have forgot or run out of. The site is still run by the family that ran it all those years ago, and they are very friendly and really helpful. I rang on the spur of the moment decision to go and originally booked just 2 nights stay but picked the busiest weekend with Wallingford's Bunkfest festival on in the town. They did some re-arranging and managed to fit us on for an extra night even though I had originally only booked for two nights. Although very busy did not feel cramped. No children's park but I like that! My kids were more than happy to play outside our pitch and walk dog round the site and go on adventures in the nearby fields. Lovely location next to the River Thames, and across the road a splash pool area (free) and an outdoor heated swimming pool(small charge). Lots of restaurants and pubs and supermarket within walking distance. Will definitely be coming back. Quite angry with myself that I had left it so long to re-visit here.

We have stayed here many times and always find the owners very friendly and willing to help with anything. The toilet block is always immaculate with powerful free showers. Only a couple of minutes walk to the riverside with the open air pool opposite and Wallingford only 10 minutes walk away. We will definitely be back.

Lovely little site next to the picturesque village of Wallingford situated on the Thames. Some of the best toilets and showers we have seen outside of the Caravan Club. The owner tends to cram a few too many units on to the site so you feel a bit close to your neighbour but it didn't stress us out too much. Lots of pubs to eat in with an Indian, Chinese and Thai restaurant very close to the site. A public open air heated swimming pool is within a couple of minutes walk of the site. We drank a bottle of wine at the pub just over the bridge closest to the site overlooking the river - very nice. We would go back if we found ourselves in this neck of the woods again.

Brilliant little site with full Wifi across the site.
Well kept adult type of site, with no set pitches and little for children to do. Toilets and showers superb.
Short walk across the bridge over the Thames to shops etc and far enough from the road to be quiet at night.
AND their fridge has Mars bars !
We will return

We visited this site for a weekend break. We booked a few days before and were pleasantly surprised. There are no defined pitches and we were given a grassy, sunny pitch. Our initial feeling was that everyone was packed in and that the camp site was very full but we relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. The toilet and shower block was great, clean large cubicles, with modern sensors. There is a reception and small shop at the back of the house. There is no children's play area but lots of families making do with balls, bats, bikes etc. Across the main road by the River Thames is an outside swimming pool and paddling area. Looked great on a hot weekend. Wallingford has lots of shops, Thames path for walking, pubs and restaurant. We ate out in a Thai restaurant / pub in Crowmarsh Gifford. Lovely meal. This a well cared for site and we will definitely be back.

A lovely campsite just 200 metres from the River Thames. A warm welcome and flexible on our requirements for position as we arrived before mid day. As the day progressed the site filled and was full on Saturday which put some pressure on facilities. However it was no more than a 90 second wait for a shower. Toilet block was immaculate and the showers excellent - plenty of water. Good sluice rooms.
The site is fenced around the whole perimeter giving a good sense of security. However a dogwalk showed one area in the wooded area needed some repair. No on site dog walks but not to worry as adjacent meadows leading to the Thames were perfect. For kids the site opposite had open air swimming pool.
Perfect base for our Thames path walk.

We took a fortnights holiday on this site with our little dog and it was wonderful. We were shown to our pitch by a man on a bicycle and left in peace to pitch up. There's a very relaxed attitude on this site so we settled in really quickly.
When we booked in over the phone we were offered the wooded area, or next to the road as our pitch choice, we chose the wooded area which was great but if you like to sit in the sun I suggest you chose next to the road or centre field as you only get the sun for a few hours in the wooded area due to shading from the trees.
The facilities are first class two taps per water point wate and recycling available these bins are emptied regularly. The showers are first class and very modern with temperature control they are always immaculate and cleaned by the most friendly gentleman who is always willing to help when loo rolls run out ECt. There is a two sink dish washing area and laundry room combined with tumble drier and good sized washing machine just remember you have to buy tokens at shop before doing your laundry.
There's so much to see in this area you won't be disappointed. Wallingford town is just over the bridge when you turn left out of the campsite there's every shop you will need, waitrose is the main supermarket In the town and can be a bit pricey but there's a tesco if you carry on driving through to Didcot. There's plenty of pubs to eat and drink in and most dogs welcome in beer gardens and sometimes inside. Try the river walk to benson lock and don't miss benson villages. Windsor ( 20 miles) and Henley (10 miles)are a must see. Oxford is (13 mikes) and operates a fantastic park and ride service.
We didn't have children with us but there's so much for them to do outside the site there's an open air swimming pool across the road from bridge villa and the river side meadow right next to the campsite has a sandy inlet so the children can quite happily play in the very clean river Thames.
The only thing I would say that bridge villa needs is a child's playground but that really is the only negative point I can make about this site.
The noise levels are normal for such a busy site.
We really enjoyed our holiday and will return at some point.

Visited this site in July for three nights on our way to Brighton. We arrived late due to an accident and I telephoned ahead. I was advised it was not a problem and were welcomed on arrival. The site was very busy with lots of campers there for the weekend. We arrived Saturday night so the site emptied of campers on Sunday. It is a good location for Wallingford which is a lovely walk over The Thames which takes 10 to 15 mins. The showers are very modern. The site is clean and quiet and we would stay there again.

I submit this review in listing Positives and negatives to prevent endless typing.
Positives: Good location, level pitches with easy access from main road.
Warm welcome by staff.
Showers are the best We have ever used or seen and they were very clean. Owners have spent a few quid on this facility.
Can't recall the name of the pub, but it is the first one across the bridge on the right, adjacent to the river. Well priced meals and great friendly welcome with views across the river to the riverside outdoor swimming/paddling pool and campsite.
Negatives: Staff allowed us several pitching spots, but they appeared to be undefined and a little cramped together. To my amazement he said that a tent was to pitch immediately behind our unit within the pitch. I think he must have been having a bad day, because that was not going to happen whilst I was pitched there at their prices!
Nothing at all to occupy the kids within the site and far too dangerous to allow them to explore off site because of main road.
Found the pitch price far too expensive for what the site had to offer. A fair price for it would be 22 - 24 in high season at a push, we paid 28.
Wallingford, appeared to be a dying town, with a few closed or nearly closed shops. It in our opinion, has little to offer, other than snacks and coffee stops. Put it this way, we have no burning plans to revisit the town if we return to the site.
All in all, the site is well placed for riverside activities, swimming and boating and nice walks along the riverside. Wallingford was disappointing for us and we used it as a stop off down to the South Coast, I doubt very much we would revisit due to over priced pitch and what Wallingford offered a touring family.
RAF Benson was or appeared to be busy but this did not impact on our stay and frankly broke the quiet spells up during the day.
This is our opinion and review, our taste differs for others, I would suggest that you give it a go and judge for yourself, it may be what you are looking for.

The facilities on this site were every bit as good as they look in the photos on their website.
Toilets and showers were clean and plentiful.
The washing-up room was fine. We had to wait once for a sink, but it gave us a chance for a chat with other campers. In any case, what's the hurry, we're on holiday!
We didn't use the on-site shop, so can't comment on it.
Other people have mentioned the lack of children's play equipment on the site. This didn't bother us as we were two adults. However the site is very close to Wallingford's beautiful riverside area, which has space to run and play, together with an open air pool and 'splash' space for youngsters (only open in the summer months).
