This is a lovely site. lovely showers etc. very close to the small town. but our stay was really spoilt by grass cutting and hedge cutting which went on all day for 2 days. the hedge cutting ending at 6. 50 pm the second day. we live by noisy neighbours and went there for peace and quiet so we were unhappy about this.

What a great location and if your a Dog owner some great walks right on the doorstep, but not on site. Just a short stroll and your at the River, then the Town a little further so ideal.

Glorious Red Kites flying low over the site was a sight to behold just wished all the idiots feeding them realised they will lose there natural feeding habits if there not careful.

It was very hemmed in this BH weekend so it felt cramped as it looked like they had taken advantage of the BH and over filled the site, but just my opinion.

Our only complaints were what the shop offers on its web site and in reality are very different plus out motorhome couldn't access any grey waste grids as we were told that they were blocked by parked cars !

Overall a nice site, nice atmosphere and good location.

We have just returned from a family break at Bridge Villa. It was perfect. There were 5 families and we were all accommodated together. We were allowed to pitch our tents and event shelters in a way that suited our needs which enabled our children to play in group next to us.

The shower facilities were amazing. Spotlessly clean and large enough cubicles to get dressed in the dry.

The owners are friendly and welcoming and left us to relax but were on hand if needed.

We have visited this site a few times now as it is only an hour from home. I can not fault it, we have always been welcomed and then left to our our own devices unless we specifically need any thing.

Normally you have choice of where you want to go, we have never had anyone so close to us that it has proved a problem and we have never heard any loud groups partying.

The site has excellent shower and toilet facilities, plenty of hot water and controllable temperature. Across the road is a water splash park and outdoor swimming pool as well as a small beach into the Thames which our kids love swimming in.

The pubs in the village and across in Wallingford are dog friendly, with great food and beer.

This is the perfect weekend spot for us, always feel relaxed and happy as soon as we arrive.

We visited here for 3 nights in June meeting up with family in their campervan. We chose the site as it was in the middle of where we both live and an area we'd not been to before.

The site was smaller than I expected for the number of pitches and to be honest it was a squeeze for us to fit in. If we hadn't had been together then we wouldn't have pitched there. There was barely a metre between our tent door and the campervan awning and we were only about 2 metres on the other side to a caravan. Other people who were in groups on the other side of the hedge to us were pitched very close together and they made rather a lot of noise sadly. On Friday night they were up with music pretty much all the night, on Saturday they called it a night about 2am. While this isn't the site's fault, if they allow people to pitch like this it's not surprising people don't behave well. I will also add that we didn't complain to the site or the individuals about this, so they may have had no knowledge of the behaviour, as I don't believe that had a walk round.

Much of the site seems to be for people who keep their caravans there with the areas closest to the road for tourers.

The facilities are excellent - lots of showers, with hot water and great controls for the temperature. Plenty of toilets and basins. Two down points is the baby change facility isn't very long, so my average sized 18 month old was half falling in the butler sink, when I did her nappy - it's not a disaster, as easy enough to change elsewhere, but not really fit for purpose. I guess the sink is a good idea for bathing the little people though. The washing up facilities only has 2 sinks. I politely asked for some water for my bowl while both the sinks were in use - the tap outlets are long and swivel, so if you have your own bowl it is easy enough to fill up while others are using the sink, although I didn't get the warmest welcomes when I asked! The shop covered the essentials, however it was only a short walk to town, for supermarkets and pubs. The weather was warm and we enjoyed some ice creams while we were there.

The location is good for exploring the wider area - town is nice, lovely strolls along the river, regular buses go to Oxford or you can get the train after a short drive to Choose. We didn't go, but I would expect it is probably a similar amount of hassle/cost as doing the park and ride. Despite being a little way into the site, the road noise can be quite loud, as there's a set of traffic lights just outside the entrance to the site. This leads to lots of revving and beeping while people are waiting to go over the bridge. We weren't terribly disturbed, but coupled with the loud group over the hedge it wasn't the quietest.

Overall, I'd hoped for better and despite wanting to return to the area I don't expect we will be returning here, which I'm a bit disappointed about.

Have just returned from a wonderful long weekend at Bridge Villa. A few days before our trip I had to phone to make some major changes to our booking (number of people, type of unit, addition of dogs/awning etc). The lady I spoke to (presumably the proprietor) was very nice and didn't have any problem with me making these changes.

The toilet and shower block were immaculate, one of the best I have ever seen, with remote showers and plenty of hot water. There is a small shop which we didn't use so can't comment on this.

The site is just a short walk from Wallingford town centre. We didn't need to venture out in the car because the town catered for everything we needed - Waitrose, pubs and I can highly recommend the Deli Brasserie Indian Restaurant (great food and large portions). Very pretty area with wonderful dog walks and we even did a Murder Mystery Treasure Hunt which we downloaded from the internet for a small charge. It showed us areas of the town which you wouldn't necessarily see and the town is steeped in history. A visit to Castle Meadows and Gardens is a must.

Due to the bank holiday weekend the campsite was at full capacity and units were very close together, however, the atmosphere of the campsite was very pleasant, friendly and considerate.

We will definitely revisit this site in the future.

This is our second time at this site. The amenities are good, very clean and the shower cubicles are large. The showers are non touch type which unfortunately went wrong on a few occasions. It was bank holiday weekend when we were there and the site was full, lots of tents and children, so we wouldn't go over a bank holiday again. The site electric went off a couple of times I think due to the amount using it.

The site is convenient for a short walk into Wallingford, loads of eating places and pubs.

Lovely site but not on a BH.

Stayed here for a couple of nights over the weekend to do some walking. Great little site, facilities have recently been upgraded I think and were very clean, warm and lots of hot water. I can see that the pitches might be a bit tight over peak times but plan to return next month to carry on our quest to do the Thames Path. Wallingford is charming and there are good bus links to Oxford and Reading. Owners were very helpful. Good free Wi-Fi too!

We stayed here for 2 nights and will definitely be returning in the future. The site is clean and well kept and takes caravans and tents. The way the site is set out the owners try and put those travelling together next to one another. The toilets were very clean and the showers excellent with non touch dials. There is a small shop on site. Just a short walk over the bridge is Wallingford with a variety of shops, pubs, restaurants, and a supermarket. There is an open air swimming pool and a splash pool on the banks of the river Thames, along with walks along the Thames footpaths. There is so much to do in the area. This site is a little gem. We will definitely be returning for longer next time.

As we were taking my OH's sister and bro-in-law on their first proper camping trip (SIL's first ever ever)I wanted it to be a good experience, with a pleasant site and civilisation nearby.

I chose this site based on it's location: place of interest/scenery, good reviews, attractive facilities, and the fact it wasn't just a big open field.

We used two tents - our larger weekender and smaller B&B tent, placed side by side on two relatively spacious pitch areas under the aforementioned trees (and can vouch for the birds leaving their calling cards).

We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night and at first, were a bit dismayed by the number of units pitched, with serried ranks of caravans and motorhomes around the edges and tents mainly in the middle green.

Fortunately, the campers present were far from a noisy bunch and even the youngsters behind us quietened down well before it became an irritation.

The site seemed very well cared for, with the facilities kept very clean. The latter are housed in a pleasant wooden building at one side of the site adjacent to the office/shop. The water taps and recycling bins are housed in pretty tiled wooden shelters, adding a special touch.

Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and quieter than we had feared (we like a bit of space and tranquillity).

On the 'might think about how to improve' front, there are only 2 washing up sinks - but masses of hot water. I expect in prime times this could be a bit of a pain and create queues given the number of guests. Ditto the number of showers: whilst we were there only 2 were working in the ladies' block, adding to waiting time at popular periods. There are, plenty of loos and sinks, however.

The site isn't large, and I'm glad that space hasn't been given over to a play area: there is plenty across the road at the Riverside Pool.

We would have liked to have stayed longer and allowed the peacefulness to really settle our souls.

It makes a great base for exploring the area, is peaceful, yet provides access to a small town with pubs, restaurants and a very nice Waitrose (which we needed for an emergency purchase of pillows).

Would we go back? Maybe, but we do like to try different sites and areas. Would we recommend? Yes.
