1st visit to the site and we were very impressed. Well stocked little shop, site was lovely and clean. The new toilet block was state of the ark, however, there seemed to be a few technical problems, I am sure these are now long sorted out. The stroll into Wallingford is lovely along with the pub on the bridge offering excellent value for money meals and very tasty too! Will be back in September to try it again. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent site - this was our second time of staying - this time we cooked an early Christmas Dinner in the caravan.

The town of Wallingford is very pretty and only a few minutes walk across the bridge over the Thames.

We will visit this site again - the manager can't do enough for you - always very helpful. Facilities are first class - toilet block is so clean you could eat your dinner off the floor!

We've just come back from a short weekend break at Bridge Villa, Wallingford and can heartily recommend it.

We needed somewhere fairly close as we were camping from Thursday night after work. Wallingford is only about half an hour away and this was going to be the first time pitching our large two bed dunnel.

The site is just before the bridge, (as the name suggests !) as you drive into Wallingford. Look for the farm machinery dealership opposite. The owners live in the roadside house as you drive in.
The toilet block is relatively small but the amenities are top class. Free showers adjustable by the wave of your hand, basins, WC's, washing up room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and baby changing and sluice rooms.

There is electrical hook ups on many of the pitches. Road noise at the front of the site may be an issue for some but we were right at the back where the wood pigeons are the only thing that may wake you. The site did get full as we neared the weekend, as you would expect. The main body of the site did occasionally seem overun with noisy kids and the odd yappy dogs. Some of the caravans seemed to be resident, judging by the satellite dishes, pigeon poop, potted plants, and the commuter -type hours kept by their fairly miserable owners.

I'd certainly use this site again for a short break. There is a smaller site on the other side of the road, on the riverside, with less in the way of faciltilies but the bonus of two outdoor pools and a play area for kids.

Wallingford itself is typical mid sized Oxfordshire market town with enough pubs and restaurants to keep you occupied for a weekend or more.

As a group of 12, we were pitched together with enough space for day tents ETC, the weather stayed just about dry in the daytime! This site has very good shower / toilet block excellent, the best I have been too!
With only short walk in to town etc. with no use of the car over the whole weekend! Carnival in walliford on the Saturday kept the kids happy + the nearby swimming pool.
Only minor niggle we had noise from pitched near the road! apart from this we enjoyed the whole experience! will return.

We've been using this site for the last three years now as a place to relax on the Friday and Saturday, before heading over to a local VW Show in Henley on the Sunday.

First impressions count and the site doesn't disappoint at all, the staff are very helpful and allowed us to book out the whole of the area to the left of the gate as you drive in, perfect for the 12 pitches we needed and allowing plenty of extra space around us to BBQ and sit around whilst the kids play in the safety of the area, the facilities are first rate, always clean and well kept 24hrs a day.

The town is easy walking distance and has everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable, the river and nearby pool provided entertainment for the younger members of the group as well.

The sign of a good site for us is one that can accommodate even the oddest requests. As our show on Sunday starts early we needed a swift exit from the site and needing the height barrier raising at 7am might be tricky at some sites, not here, as we packed away a member of staff walked over and raised it for us without a grumble, service with a smile infact.

We'd definitely return again and have done every last weekend in May for 3yrs now as well as a couple of other trips in between, its good value for money and a quality site, big thumbs up from us.

I have been using this site for many years and I am very impressed with the amount of investment that has been put into the site in recent years.

The new toilet and shower block has had nothing but praise, and quite rightly so, they are top class facilities. The pitches are laid out on a well maintained grassed site and every pitch has an electric hook-up.

The site is well run by owners rather than managers, which maintains a friendlier atmosphere to the site.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially a very nice young chap, who works on the site on a part-time basis, and is a real asset to Bridge Villa, I think his name is Steve.

There is a small shop that can provide most essential items eg. Bread, milk, fresh eggs, newspapers and a good range of tinned foods. The town of Wallingford is only 5 minutes walk away, and there are a good range of shops that can cover most requirements.

Located around the immediate area are plenty of playing fields and parks with childrens playing areas, loads of places to eat, and at least half a dozen or so takeaways.

There is a small cinema in the town, a market every Friday, a very good bus service with half hourly links to Oxford, and plenty of history interest in and around the town.

I found this a very disappointing campsite. More akin to a car park than a camping/holiday site.

The entrance was not well marked. There is a small faded wooden sign mostly hidden by shrubbery and there is a caravan site signpost on the opposite side of the road (depending from which direction you approach). When you are looking for an entrance to a campsite off a very busy main road you would expect a bit of advanced warning and a good indication that you have arrived at the right place.
This is particularly important in this case because it is a tight turn into the entrance and there is a height barrier restricting access and leaving the back end of your caravan stuck out in the road while you phone the site manager requesting access. If you overshoot the entrance (as I almost did) you have a long way to go before finding somewhere to turn round with a caravan in tow. I have a small caravan and was able to reverse back without causing too much congestion but not a good start after a tiring journey.

This is quite a small site and could prove difficult negotiating the entrance and the narrow paths with a very large caravan or motorhome, although not impossible.

The site is basically a flat field with a pathway encircling it. Several of the pitches are underneath trees which may mean dripping sticky sap and/or the sounds of heavy rainfall long after it has stopped raining.

The entire field is given over to caravans, motorhomes, and tents in a regimented fashion with little room between them when the site is full. No views except the unit opposite and to either side and little space for children to play. In fact a notice discourages ball games when the site is busy.

If you just require a place to park and sleep then this is the site for you. It is well maintained with nice grassy pitches and the toilet facilities are first class but at a basic pitch price of £16 a night (includes EHU whether you require it or not) a little overpriced in my view.

There is a small shop on site selling bare essentials and gas bottles but the town and shops are only a 5-10 minute walk away.

Wallingford is a pleasant town steeped in history (apparently) but I think this is an area where perhaps a car is required for touring the various market towns and villages for which Oxfordshire is noted.

There are some nice pubs and restaurants in Wallingford and unlike some places I have been to the residents are very friendly toward tourists, but I would recommend walking in the opposite direction, into the village of Crowmarsh Gifford, where there is a Tai restaurant and bar. First class service with a smile and excellent food.

Not a site I would return to, mainly because of the cramped conditions and the price, but I had an enjoyable weekend nonetheless.

As already mentioned the toilets at this site were hard to beat. This is a small site but nevertheless a great place to stay. Not even the miserable weather put us off. Lots of facilities/shops/pubs nearby. Will definitely return if visiting this area.

Visited this site to visit family in the area. Toilet block was kept really clean and very modern - I wish more where like this.Especially as the site was full. Well stocked little shop on site. But Wallingford only a short walk. Would be revisiting again.

We have used this site three times now. We live just half an hour away and have used the site to test out new tents, and most recently a caravan we have just bought.

As mentioned elsewhere, the toilet/shower blocks at this site are as good as you can get. New last year, they are kept very clean, and have a bench in the showers where you can sit to dry your feet (great! most shower blocks don't have this - I think it's essential!)

Pitches are not allocated, so you are given a choice of available pitches on your arrival. Can get very busy. EHUs are available although I don't know how many there are.

Again, as mentioned elsewhere, just a short walk from the Thames, a free paddling pool across the road, with an outdoor swimming pool that isn't overly expensive. Very small shop on site.

Prices have gone up quite dramatically since the new toilet block was built. Cost us (family of 4) £22 a night, which is a little expensive for the facilities available on site. They seem to have adopted the CC&C model i.e. prices are for 2 people, pay extra for extra adults or children, awnings etc.

Overall, a nice site with helpful management, a little expensive, and gets fully booked quite early for bank holidays etc.
