We were very impressed with this campsite - it deserves the awards that it has received! It is family run, and it shows. The facilities were spotless, the staff / owners friendly, the shop well stocked, the play area was very popular with our children, and the dog walk was fantastic. Our pitch was large, flat and close to all amenities (and we were about as far away as you can get). The play barn that is associated with the campsite was also fantastic - another winner with our kids. All in all, we had a great break here and would recommend this site without hesitation.

This is the best camp site we have ever stayed at. The toilets are extremely clean and warm with lots of showers. The people who work on the site are very friendly and helpful. The location is great as well. The pitches are very well maintained and organised and also provided you with a pub style table on your pitch. The dog walking area is great too and very well maintained. The shop is well stocked with everything and all at a reasonable price too. We really loved it here and would recommend this site to anyone. Also if you have children there are good play areas allocated with swings etc. Couldn't of asked for a nicer place to stay.

Beautifully clean site. If you opt for a fully serviced make sure you either have a long waste pipe or a long hose pipe for the mains adaptor, the water and electric was on one side of the enormous pitch and the waste on the other, couldn't make sense of this. The site and staff are absolutely fantastic, my gear box blew on this weekend and they helped me every step of the way to find local garages etc. Didn't see much of the site due to being on the phone trying to sort the car out but cant wait to try it again, hopefully problem free next time.

FANTASTIC SITE! Even in rainy October we had a great time! - Excellent facilities - showers / kitchen are clean and tidy. Fridge / kettle etc available in the kitchen which are great for those in tents. Staff very helpful and friendly. Walk along the canal into Brecon is easy to do. Short walk to nearest pub. - Large site with walks nearby. Great base to explore the surrounding area. Would definitely go back.

What a beautiful site. Absolutely could not fault it in any way. We camped with two girls aged 6 and 8, and a dog. We were perfectly happy for the girls to go and play as the site was very secure and extremely well kept. There was a little playground and a great recreation field, as well a lovely dog exercise area with an idyllic little stream with stepping stones through it. There was also an added play area next to the stream which my girls enjoyed. The facilities were spotlessly clean and well thought out, with use of a freezer, huge fridge and even a microwave. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. All in all we had a lovely weekend and we will definitely return.

Campsite really well maintained. Toilet and shower facilities clean and shower stalls large. Good sight for dog owners, our dog loved the dog walking area which is big enough to stretch a large dogs legs. Took us 45 minutes to stroll to Brecon along the canal path. Only downside to this site is plots are a little close. We will be going back but probably take a windbreak next time to give us a bit more privacy. All staff were very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Just had an excellent weekend at this site! Although the site was busy, there was not that much noise and the children had a lovely time and made new friends very quickly. The amenity blocks were tidy and clean and the shop had everything you might need in an emergency (those little things you've forgotten). A great place as a base for the surrounding countryside for walking, cycling etc. A large recreation field for the older children to play ball games etc, and a well maintained playground for the younger ones, the staff were very friendly and helpful too. All in all a lovely site and we will definitely be visiting again.

We've visited Brynich several times over the last two or three years and we always enjoy our stay. The facilities (showers & toilets) are very good and the pitches are nice and flat.
Our children enjoy the woodland walks and the adventure playground by the river. There's a nice canal side walk into Brecon, if you're brave enough to cross the busy main road by the roundabout. There's also a fifteen minute walk to the pub which serves excellent real ale and food.
The site itself has always been quiet when we've stayed, even at busy times, and the owners are friendly and helpful

The site is spotlessly clean, superb views, nice level pitches fantastic amenities. However on arrival we had to pay a "noise/nuisance deposit of £10!" As our group included a senior policeman, a chartered surveyor and a intensive care Sister, all well past the first flush of youth! With a gaggle of very small children one of whom is disabled, I didn't feel that we were about to run riot and disrupt the smooth running of the site!. We were unsure what constituted as noise, talking after 10pm? snoring ? a baby crying? We were on pins after 9pm desperately trying to get the kids to sleep (we did get the deposit back)

I have spent four days at Brynich and found the site immaculately clean and the facilities excellent. The dog walking area was the best I've encountered with a relatively extensive area within the bounds of the site and more safe walking along the nearby towpath (though there are no doggie bins until you reach Brecon itself and you do have to cross the main road to access the towpath).
The shop was well stocked with the basics, plus maps and local information. There's a restaurant on site but I chose to wander up the lane to the village pub which served good food and real ale. The pitches were huge, larger than I've enjoyed anywhere else with a choice of super pitches, many of which were taken up by what seemed to be seasonal campers. There was a tent area, a large recreation field and an adventure playground.
All in all the site was superb but as with everything there is always a downside! Here it was traffic noise. The site is conveniently loated near the A40 and A470 junction and at morning and pm peak times in particular the noise from the traffic was very intrusive. Vehicles accelerating away from the roundabout did make a fair old racket! I was located nearer to the roads, which are on two sidea of the site because I was closer to the dog walking area but quite honestly, I don't think it would have mase an awful lot of difference.
If traffic noise isn't an issue for you then I would say that this site is hard to fault. The views, the facilities on site and the location, being within walking distance of Brecon, make this site an excellent choice.
