Stayed here as part of a large extended family group as my parents have a caravan and are members of the Club.
This is primarily a caravan site, with caravans in regimented lines like some parody of suburbia, but there is a separate field for tents, with large, well marked out pitches but no EHU.
It's close to one of the toilet blocks, with excellent shower, loo and washing facilities, and a laundry room with four washing-up sinks, a laundry sink, washing machine, tumble drier and fridge (no freezer facility though). All as clean and well-maintained as you'd expect from the Caravan Club.
The site shop is large and very well stocked with all kinds of food and camping/caravanning equipment but very expensive (£1.79 for a pack of butter?!).
There is a laughably small 'adventure playground' for small children in one of the caravan fields but far more useful for us was the recreation field next to the tent site. It had swings and a large area for lively family ball games, well away from the tents.
The tent field was quiet, even when it became quite full at the weekend, and was three-quarters empty during the week.
Brecon is five minutes drive, or a 20-minute stroll along the canal, which is just across the road from the campsite. The road is the A40, so there can be a bit of traffic noise, but the tent field is on the other side of the site, so escapes the worst of it. There is also occasional distant gun fire from the army training base nearby. Brecon seems to be a bit short of decent dining options, but there is a large Morrisons supermarket.

The site is well laid out and as previously stated, there is a refurbished toilet / shower block and the main block which is kept clean but could do with updating.
This is the fourth time I have stayed at Brynich and no matter where you pitch the road noise is loud.
I love the site, its facilities and its position as it is a lovely walk into Brecon up the canal. I can put up with the road noise.
There is more noise on Friday nights from the beer and barbeque brigade that is why I tend to leave on Fridays.

Our first stay as members of the Caravan club. Very pleased with site, lovely sized pitches some with hedge screening. Very friendly and helpful welcome, shop was very good and not expensive. Toilet block clean but a little dated. Dog walking field was 'Top Dog'. You do hear the cars as main road near. Brecon cycle path was fab, it rang along the canal. Would use site again

Stayed at this site last weekend as 1st time campers and have booked to return in August, thoroughly enjoyed.
The toilet/shower block was immaculate and hot water at whatever time of the day we went there and no queuing (this may change obviously at different times of the year)
The site shop is very well stocked and while the prices are slightly higher than the supermarkets this is only to be expected and well worth the inconvenience of not having that essential item you have forgotten/need.
There is no EHU for tents but this didn't prove a problem as the communal fridge/freezer and sink facilities were excellent.
The site is very clean and well kept, pitch sizes I thought were brilliant with plenty of space but as this is my first camping trip this may be on par with many sites???
My 9yr old and his friends found the 'Adventure Playground' to be quite mis-leading and were not impressed although the small play area was ideal for younger children. They also had the field attached to the tent field in which to play ball games, frisbee etc and they loved riding around the site on their bikes.
All in all an excellent site, peaceful, family friendly, pets welcome and close to Brecon town centre

This is a large site, located just off the A40 which is ideal for a stopover, although we did experience a little road noise during our 3 night stay.
The toilets were in two blocks. One was much older although still clean and kept to the usual caravan club standards. A lot of the pitches were sloping so chocks essential.
There is a small shop on site which is well stocked. There is a good pub within walking distance. The site is well located for exploring the Brecon Beacons.

A fairly large site, situated just off the Brecon bypass. The site was at 90+% occupancy during our stay. There certainly is road noise from the nearby bypass, although as we live on a fairly busy road it didn't bother us. There is a nearby military establishment and gun fire was regularly heard too.
Personally I didn't find the toilet blocks up to usual caravan club standards, but that could have been due to the high occupancy levels during our stay. The site is well kept as you expect with caravan club. The dog walk is lovely, but close to the bypass.
There is a small play area with equipment for younger children. A recreation field with swings and an adventure play area past the dog walk, down by the river. Serviced pitches were spacious. Some of the grass pitches, although a good size were rather hemmed in by surrounding pitches.
A great site for touring Brecon and the nearby stunning Brecon Beacons, but perhaps not for you if you are looking for peace and tranquillity.

Excellent site and can agree with all the previous reviews. Toilets were immaculate, facilities and on site shop very well stocked. Lots of space for our 9 year old to play, and he loved the separate field for playing. Very welcoming. Surrounding area lovely, and lovely views.
I'm afraid we wouldn't return here though, as we personally found the noise from the road extremely loud, and it then didn't help when the barn had a wedding evening with a loud band until the early hours of the morning!. I realise this is all out of the sites control, but if you like peace and quiet, and can't stand road noise, then this isn't the site for you. Each to their own I guess, but it truly spoilt it for us.

Stayed for a weekend and had a fab time. The amenities were up to the usual high standard of the CC. Although we didn't use the on site shop, it looked much larger than the normal type at a CC site and well stocked with various products.
There were a number of type of pitches on the site and most were flat, and of a good size. The wardens were very friendly and I would definitely return.

We stayed at Brynich for four nights in the first week of September. We were extremely lucky with the weather - glorious sunshine every day, best week of the year for us! When we made the booking enquiry we were told the prices for members and non members, and decided to join the Caravan club as it worked out cheaper. We were very impressed with the site which was spotlessly clean and well looked after. There was a well stocked shop and good toilet and shower facilities. We took the recommended walk to the nearby pub, Three Horseshoes, which took us about 10 minutes. We had prebooked as we were warned how popular it was, and just as well. We had a first class meal at what we thought was a reasonable price. The views from the site are brilliant. As we only had a short time in the area we are very keen to visit again and will certainly use Brynich again. We would also highly recommend it to friends and family.

Caravan club site! what more do you need to say about the facilities and the cleanliness. As expected immaculate.
The site is in the Brecon Becons which are fantastic looking natural mountains and will always give pleasure to the eyes as they do to the walker.
We stayed on a service pitch and which gave us all we needed and plenty of room.
There was a small play area for the younger children on the sight and a larger assault type course just a 5 min walk. There is a stream that was great fun for wading through with the children.
On a rainy day there was also a play barn next door to the site which was worth paying for.
Being so close to Brecon was also a great benefit of this site as it is such a pretty town. Also a visit to Hay on Wye which is just a half hour drive away is great for anyone who has a interest in picking up some second hand books on nearly any subject.
