Just got back from fantastic wkd here. The location of this site is absolutely stunning, I feel like I've had a weeks holiday! Owner so relaxed about everything, we were a group of 20 and had heaps of space and it was totally chilled, no rules! We stayed up late, sat round the fire and experienced the great outdoors in a REAL campsite.
Toilets/showers are basic but clean and tidy - tip - go early or late for your shower that way there will be plenty of hot water!
It's a little bit off the beaten track and not obviously signposted, but a good way to spot it is the cream tea sign and the 3 caravans in the garden near the road.
If you want to experience a proper escape from it all then I cannot recommend this site highly enough, so peaceful, gorgeous sunsets and a real break from the everyday grind!

Don't be fooled by the small field at the front of the farm. There are a number of large fields where you can 'park' yourselves. The campsite was brilliant. Marcella (who is lovely) met us and showed us around the field which allowed camp fires. It was large and spacious and not over-crowded. It was my first time camping, and a wonderful experience. The camp fire made it just perfect! Marcella brought round the logs and taught us how to light the fire and keep it burning. The logs she provided were plenty and kept us going all night! We even toasted sausages and marsh-mellows on it .a throw back to our honeymoon . Bliss! There were clean toilets and showers. In addition there was a sink and a fridge for us campers! How cool and organised is that! This is a wonderful place. The scenery was out of this world - although I could of gleefully strangled that cockrel in the morning (only kidding!) We had a couple of walks - including up the hill to see the white horse - and it is a hell of a hill! A word of warning - the shop in the nearest village closes early on a Saturday (4pm) so get organised and go quickly. It was 5* - on accommodation, service, location and friendliness - we will be back!

The area is certainly outstandingly lovely and the owners are very friendly, but the very basic facilities let this site down, in my opinion. There are only three toilets for the whole site (3 fields) and two showers. Two of the toilets are next to the only dishwashing sink. There was rarely any hot water for the showers, and neither they nor the toilets felt particularly clean. The cream teas are very good, but the field next to the amenities block is used as the visitors' car park, which could be a problem if you have small children running about. It was just about bearable for a weekend, but I doubt we will return.

There was 10 of us that went and we had a brilliant time. The owner is very friendly and the wood delivery service should be standard for ALL campsites. It's a shame that more sites don't allow real fires. I'd highly recommend a visit and a climb up to the white horse nearby for some stunning views.

14 of us went here in May, and a it was a great experience for all. Marcella was friendly and relaxed about the ever changing numbers in our party. When we get there we were met and taken round the site to find the pitch that would suit us best. Great campfire thanks to the supplied firewood and were made to feel very welcome by attentive and good humoured owner and staff. Newly renovated shower block was a bonus and location was great (decent roads round there for motorcyclists too). All in all can't fault it and well worth a visit.

Fist time at this site and we loved it! The people are so very help and genuine. Having a camp fire was a huge bonus especially as it was still cold at night. Facilities very clean too. We shall return without a doubt as our 2 young boys loved it especially as it's a working farm with animals to see and tractors to look at!

We found this campsite simply by searching for one that allowed real fires - something sadly prohibited by most campsites these days - and we were not disappointed! The owners are really lovely people who made us feel so welcome. With firewood delivered to our tents on request and fresh eggs if we wanted to buy them this really was the perfect campsite! The views and surrounding area are lovely too- couldn't ask for a better site - thanks to the owners for all they did for us, it was much appreciated

This is one of those (too few) sites where you can camp for real! Me and my three sons had a great time. The owner was just fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, even delivering wood for the fire to our tent.Being all boys we were'nt worried about the walk to the showers, just another excuse for them not to get used. We will be back to enjoy the lack of comforts that most people seem to need these days.

This is a simple site. The views are unspoilt and the owner helpful. The grass is kept long which we liked because it was dry in the mornings and the children could play in trainers (not wellies). There is only 1 shower and 3 toilets and the main fields are across the road from the facilities which makes a quick dash to the toilet impossible (so give yourself plenty of time). Fire pits are available in one of the fields. There are few rules on this site which makes it feel very laid back. There were lots of local events going on at the time of our visit and the site is only a short walk from the white horse. This is a good site for a short visit.

Second visit to this unspoilt and great camp site. This time it was my wifes and second son's first camping experience's. A great time was had by all. The cockrel still hasn't learned to tell the time! Apparently the local council are causing the owner some grief about having the site so I suggest that everyone looking for a rustic camping experience in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the UK support this campsite and pay a visit.
