Toilets are spotless. Site is run efficiently and owner is very friendly. Brilliant location, only downside is that pitches are small, so neighbours are very close, particularly when site is full at weekends. Will be going back in the near future though.

Great site with lovely clean facilities. Owners were very friendly and helpful. As stated in other reviews, the space was limited as it was a busy weekend. It was about a half a mile walk into Masham which had a variety of Pubs and places to eat. We also visited the Black Sheep Brewery which was worthwhile. Overall great site with potential to develop further if more land is acquired.

Lovely site - not too big. The site is mainly caravans with a smaller area for tents. The toilets & showers are amazing - I have never seen facilities so clean on a site before. Convenient base for exploring Masham (and its breweries), and the eastern Dales area.

A lovely clean site, the toilet / shower block and washing up facilities were spotless. The children had lots of fun in the surrounding grounds and went on lots of adventures when they weren't riding their bikes round and round the path! My only problem (although we managed very well!) was our pitch was too small - we had booked 3 pitches for a motor home and 2 large tents. We managed because we pitched one tent in front of the Motor home and when we went out we used their 7 seater car.

We stayed at this site on a weekend at the end of July and it was extremely busy. The reception was well laid out and stocked with the basic food items you would expect. The reception also serves as a cafe which serves breakfast at weekends. The owners were very pleasant and showed us to our pitch on arrival. This is where there was a problem. We had booked two large tent pitches for our party which were not big enough at all. We were pitched within two feet of another tent on either side. It just seemed a little too crammed in. However the owner did inform us that he was looking at resizing the pitches in future. It was only on the quieter Sunday night when the site was less busy, you could see how pretty it was. Apart from that, the site is very level with hook up available and very cheap. £27 for 3 nights for tent, 2 adults, child and car is excellent. The toilet blocks and showers were very clean and well maintained and some interesting photos in reception show the sites development. The site makes an excellent base as Masham is nearby as is Lightwater Valley. Overall if pitch size was improved then we would return here as it is a good site in a beautiful area.

We have just come back from the Old Station Holiday Park and found it a really nice site. It has a lovely family who all muck in and run it and the nicest toilets, shower block and wash up area that I have seen so far. My only little moan would have to be that the pitch sizes are a bit small and a caravan was parked slightly onto the pitch that we were given which meant that they could have plenty of room to get their car , awning and caravan on their pitch whereas we had to squeeze our trailer between our tent and their caravan and put our car in a car park elsewhere. Admittedly our tent is quite big but we have never had a problem in the past and there are a lot more bigger tents around nowadays. However all in all we had a lovely weekend there and I would state we have a large tent if I was to go there again.

Lovely site, very friendly and helpful owners, really chilled, peaceful atmosphere, handy shop, clean and modern shower / toilet block Excellent local facilities. Mix of caravans and tents with electric hookups, but did no-one else notice the over-powering smell from the pig-farm next door?

Was impressed by the campsite when visited on a Thursday and Friday night in July. Staff were welcoming to the site and very helpful. The toilet and shower facilities were of a very high standard and the park's proximity to Masham is a very good feature. I found that the pitches were a little too close together for comfort. But, I would definitely return.

We received a very warm welcome on our arrive which is always a nice start to your weekend. As we set up there was always the owners there on hand to make sure all was OK. I think you can always tell how good a park is by how quick it fills-up on a Friday. Although this is not a big park there was a steady stream of caravans and tents to take up every pitch for the weekend.
There has been a lot of work done to this park, which can be seen by the spotless shower bloke. You can also tell that the owners are looking to improve even further by more work on the reception area. Inside the reception there is a small shop selling milk, cold drinks and a view things to keep the kids happy but not a lot of every day items. Not sure if there was a lot to do for children there, our daughter and her friend (both 12) just wondered round the site. The only bad point was that the pitch we had was a bit on the small size. Once we set-up the caravan and put-up awning there was no were to park the car. But there was ample parking outside the reception area just a 2-minute walk.
Nearest town Masham was just a 10-minute walk down the road, or take the local bus service that stopped out side the campsite. Taking the car into Masham was no problem as there was plenty of parking in the Market place or on the recreation ground on your right as you enter the town. There is a Farmers Market on Saturdays and you never know what will turn-up in the Market Place on Sundays. We had an American Car club turn up while we were there. There are a couple of places that are a must to visit. For the gents the Black Sheep Brewery visitors centre in Masham and for the ladies Brymor Real Dairy Ice Cream Parlour, 2 miles out side Masham on the road to Leyburn. Local events to look out for: Black Sheep Music Festival (16-18 June), White Bear Midsummer Beer Festival (23-25 June) and Masham Steam Rally (15-16 July).
All in all a great place to visit for a quite weekend and a tour of the local area.

This campsite is very good. So good I'm reluctant to tell you about it. We had three fantastic days with the first good weather of 2006. The toilets and showers are beautiful and the the pitches are spacious. The site is very peaceful even with the building work in the next field. The people who run it are very friendly and are trying to improve it with a tea room, which is coming shortly.
The walk in to Masham takes about 12 mins on foot with plenty of drinking and eating places. The public foot paths are quite well marked for the walkers and ramblers. If you want a quiet couple of days away without the children (nothing for them to do), with a nice pint at the end of day this is the campsite to use.
