We visited with friends in early March. The site was very well maintained and the facilities spotlessly clean.
There was a good selection of local attractions / leaflets just inside the facilities block. We walked into Masham across a field a couple of times and tried out several of the coffee shops there.
We had a very nice Sunday lunch at the on-site restaurant and also enjoyed visiting the Brymor ice cream place, not far from Masham.
It was very early in the season so we can't comment on whether the site would feel crowded at more popular times, but there did seem to be a lot of hook-up points for the size of the field!

Upon arrival was taken to our pitch by a very friendly warden, excellent large pitch even though we were not using our awning on this stay. Well laid out site with first class facilities, shop, cafe, showers, toilets, washing up facilities, laundry and waste disposal. Free hot showers were excellent and very clean. Fell lucky with the weather, lovely hot and sunny enabling us to walk to the beautiful village of Masham for the afternoon taking about 20 minutes. Would definitely recommend and we will certainly be using again.

We picked this sight because of it's close proximity to Masham. For visiting the town it's ideally located and is only about 10 mins walk if that.
Your position is allocated upon arrival and the weekend we visited, it was about 3/4 full and we felt incredibly jammed in and the view out of the window was loads of other caravans, 4x4s and the whole experience wasn't good. Imagine parking up in Tesco car-park.
Facilities weren't kept on top of looks like they get a brief clean in the morning) and with only 2 loos and 2 showers in the mens, morning ablutions were not good.
At nearly £20 a night, the site wasn't worth it but luckily we were only booked in for 1-night.

Our first visit to this site and we were extremely impressed with the quality of this beautiful small family run site.
The pitches were very flat and the grass was very well kept. The shower and toilet facilities were spotless. The site is small but had everything we needed and the site had a friendly feel to is. Even better was an excellent restaurant on site and even better, we could take our own beers. The meals were excellent and portions on the generous size and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Lots of information about the history of the Masham Station, which was interesting. The owners were very friendly and helped us with our sons tag a long bike by providing tools for us from their own workshop. Our 4 year old son also had a great time playing with the sites resident young child. Excellent location and a lovely 10 mins walk into Masham via a lovely field. Cycling with children in this area is very good on quiet country lanes and a vast network of bridleways.
Great site and location and would def visit again.

Just spent a mid week break at the Old Station, Masham. 3 days of almost continues rain. But what a nice place to stay. Great toilet and shower block, with handy recycle bins outside. Good level site with marked sites with plenty of room for car and awning.
It's a short walk into Masham either by the roadside or across a short grassed field, But worth the walk as Masham is delightful. Oldie worldie dales town, brilliant.
I would definitely return again to this Old Station Holiday Park at some time in the near future.

Visited this small site for two nights with two older children. Everything was good enough, but nothing was very good. The toilet block was pretty, and clean - enough. The washing up area had three good size sinks, but a little cramped with laundry machines.
Every dishwashing trip ended in rather damp clothes, as the push-down taps were pretty violent with far too much power that couldn't be controlled.
The site itself was cramped - there was only a matter of feet between our awning and the van in the next plot, and less than three feet between us and the van on the plot behind us making our plot feel very constricted, and looking round the site it wasn't just our particular plot.
As we have a small two berth this wasn't caused by us using a mega-van! No space for children to play any games when the site was full, and no cycling allowed on the site.
We didn't take our dog, and I'm glad we didn't as the site had no dog-walk area, and opened onto a pavement-less fast road.
Nice little shop on site, with a lovely waitress who helped us choose from a wide range of local farm-produced ice-creams which were wonderful.
The smell of pig wafted over the site occasionally, but was not intrusive enough to be a problem for us. It is a shame that the tidy site was marred by rusting equipment and crumbling farm buildings around one edge of the site.
Good enough, but not a family site and I felt a bit too pricey for what it offered.

What a fantastic site. Nice shop and cafe well stocked and presented. Very helpful staff and on arrival was welcomed like an old friend.
The tent area is flat and well kept, nice and quiet yet not too far away from the facilities.
Hard to believe so much could be offered on a small site.
The ablutions are amazing, clean warm and servicable.
Masham is just a 15 minute walk away to local produce, beer, pies even a curry, (who cares what else!) you can't go wrong.
Advice in two words. Book early

Went with other party (Caravan)Mixed party,
From kids to Seniors.
No Electric hook up at this time offered to Tents.
Lovely site, helpful staff, warden patrolled on a night, helped keep noise to a minimum.
Nice showers and wash area.
Only minus - was that the pitch was very closely packed together - a bit pigeon holed.
I would prefer EHU for tent and a bit more pitch space!
However, great place and site and good surrounding tourist areas.

Well the walk into Masham and it's lovely breweries etc is less than a mile. For campers being being tucked away at the back of the site makes is lovely and quiet.
We had a block booking of 7 or so tents for 15 campers and I hope we were respectful of the other campers. Toilet block is brilliant, only 3 male showers, but we never queued and it was the bank holiday weekend.
Plus no charge for the lovely hot shower. We used ate at the goods shed for a Sunday roast, went for just the one course, what a filler though the desserts looked lovely.
I will return with my wife in the Autumn, I think that says it all (she is seriously fussy!)

Just returned from a bank holiday long weekend at this little gem of a campsite, our first visit found the site spotlessly clean & amenities the same. For a busy holiday weekend it was a very relaxed atmosphere and quiet too.
Free hot showers, a fantastic little 2 storey on site cafe offering hot and cold food and the site owners going out of their way to accommodate us in any way (thanks for putting the TV on for the Grand Prix!) will make sure we will visit again soon. This has to be one of the best campsites around.
It's only a short walk into the beautiful village of Masham, complete with the dog friendly Bay Horse pub, 2 breweries to tour and shops full of local produce. A word of warning about the market place fish and chip shop though-very, very small portions at top prices (the smallest I have ever been served)
The negatives (or positives!), no children's play ground and snug pitches.
