May 2005 We visited the site for the time on May bank holiday, we booked about 2 months prior, but was not asked for a deposit. When we arrived it was a little chaotic to say the least, the owners did not appear to be under control and we were advised that we would not be able to use our awing because we would not have enought space. When we asked why, we were told that numorous people had arrived without a booking, and they had accomodated them, taking up the larger pitches, leaving us with a very small one.
The site does not have any facilities other that the toilet block, which I have to say is superb, very clean indeed, no complaint there. They are in the process of building a reception area and shop and developing the site further. Lets hope there organisation skills inprove too!!!

September 2004 This site is very well placed for visiting Masham and surrounding areas. There is a bus stop just outside the site but it's only a 10min.walk into the town. This is a new site laid out on grass but very firm underneath. We stayed when it was raining (in motorhome) and had no problem getting on or off the pitch.
The toilet facilities are brand new and very warm, the downside is the lighting is very poor, taking a while to "warm up" and then they go out! Also the showers tend to splash the water under the door and across the floor. These could have been such super facilities with a bit more thought.

August 2004 We visited the campsite on a very wet weekend but the site looked to be coping well. The toilet block is brand new, as the campsite was only opened this year. The toilet block is fully tiled and has central heating, it was spotless for the full time during our two night stay. We had plenty of hot water for free showers and pot washing facilities that were very clean and tidy.
The site is positioned just outside the market town of Masham but within easy distance of the centre and it's many pubs and breweries. As the name of the campsite suggests it was once the station house and some old buildings remain along with a disused railway bridge at one end of the site. It is a very flat site with room for Caravans and tents. The owners have plans to expand the site and convert some old buildings into a shop and cafe. We will definitely be returning.
