We had only had our caravan for a week when we went to Clippesby but found a little gem.
The staff were very helpful, even helped us put our awning up as we were newbies!
Then it snowed, when I say snow I mean heavy snow, it was beautiful.
The pub was welcoming even allowing dogs in. The food was good value and home cooked.
Anyone getting stuck in the snow was pulled out by the site team.
Yes would visit again maybe in better weather to allow use of the pool etc.

We visited this site at October half term week (yes, the week that saw temperatures of minus 2!)
The site was very quiet considering the kids were off but this was probably a bonus really as we had our pick of the pitches.
We stayed on one of the 'pinewoods' pitches and was joined by our friend and his son.
The site itself is sectioned off into different named areas and this was probably my favourite thing about the whole place.
'The Dell' area probably has some of the best pitches on any site we've seen- almost magical! The setting was fantastic and could not be laid out any better.
The facilities were more than adequate, modern with clean toilets and showers that were lovely and warm considering the weather outside and HUGE sinks to wash-up in. My only gripe would be that the water pressure was not that great in the showers and the 'family' bathroom was a little small for the three of us.
Our stay was made even better by the welcome we got from the staff and other campers whom we met every night in the on site pub (great grub by the way)
The staff were genuinely friendly and really make you feel special ,our little-un still talks about his friend 'Lee' the barman.
All in all we would recommend this site (especially in warmer/ drier weather) to anyone, especially first-timers and would thoroughly recommend the Halloween party, the boys had a really great time. We can see why this site gets so much positive feedback.

Absolutely fabulous site - love it! love it!
This was our 2nd visit (last year I thought I'd keep it a secret). Both times we stayed in Cedar lawn with the perimeter pitching.
Site is clean & well kept, spacious and never feels full (even when it is). The perimeter pitching is great and eases the transition from coffee - frisbee - coffee - badminton etc.
During the day the site is really peaceful as many people go out to surrounding areas. 4pm is when everyone seems to return. Nice atmosphere on site with a nice family feeling. The site is surrounded by massive trees, so is nice & sheltered from the winds.
Susie's cafe is a dream, home made cakes, great coffee and breakfast baps all from local produce.
Shop is stocked with a nice selection of local produce, preserves eggs, meat etc.
Muskett arms is a must for at least one meal. A little pricey, but again local produce & excellent food & service.
The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough. I do feel sorry for them as they seem to be on the go all day & evening, always smiling and never too busy to stop & answer any questions.
Great location for local area - Gt.Yarmouh, Broads & Caister. Supermarkets within a few minutes (by car) are Budgens, Tesco & I think Spar?.
Book early! We have and we're here again next year - can't wait.

Another glowing review.
The campsite is in a great location to visit the Broads, where there is lots to do in the surrouding areas.
The campsite itself is clean and tidy everywhere, the shower block was very clean and well maintained with the usual. The staff are friendly and genuinely helpful with whatever query you have.
We stayed in The Dell, away from the kids, but still close to the showers, but more private and quiet. There was no overcrowding in our area, which is a real bonus.
The onsite pub is a great bonus to the site, good food, great atmosphere and not expensive, as previously mentioned on here. And you can walk back to your tent at the end of the night!
You can hear the cars from the main road at night, but a small price to pay for a great campsite in a beautiful part of the world.
Would recommend to anyone for a weekend.

Just returned from the Beer Festival. What a fantastic effort by all concerned - we had a marvellous weekend. Rain, cloud, more rain then more cloud and rain but the staff were a ray of sunshine and brightened up the whole site. The site is very well run, expertly laid out and the best reception we have come across in years - Well done to all at Clippesby Hall.

We visited this site for the fist time and we loved it! We've booked up again for next year! The site is just truly wonderful, everything is well maintained, the showers were spotless, the grounds were immaculate, the Muskett Arms was lovely - not really a family commercial bar, just a family pub providing good food an good drinks! The facilities inc 18 hole crazy golf, coffee shop, bar, park were well worth the 7 hour trip from Chester le Street!
We stayed in South Park, pitch 75. Perfect except for the toilet / shower / pot washing block right behind our tent, which was busy at obvious peak times, though not a problem. Although the early morning trips by kids and their parents to the loo's at 630 am with kids chatting and parents 'ssshhh!' was a daily occurence. So we have decided to move to a different pitch.
Would definitely reccomend this park - it is a glorious place to visit The Broads from and the whole place is set up for families!
Staff at Clippesby can't do enough for you.

Nicest campsite I've ever visited!
Facilities were the best that I've seen at a campsite as were cleaned regularly and modern. Stayed at cedar lawns which was very family friendly with a large green in the centre and dry as bark was placed on pitches to dry them out. Cycle hire good for all the family at a good price. Pool was a bit on the small side but other than that a 5 star site which I would definitely reccomend!

There is nothing bad or even remotely negative about this site. Toilets and showers - brilliant and plentiful. Pitches great with staff eager to help if needed. (we had a broken pump and the owners friend turned up to repair it)! The site office booked us a dayboat for the broads, but there is just too much here to mention. Lots to do, see and keep busy with. Would reccommend the dinausour park, good value and fun! Would I return - yes. Again and again and again.

We have just returned from clippsby, the site facilities are of a high standard and the site is a great base for touring the local area. My only criticism - our pitch was flooded in the recent wet spell! While I appreciate we cannot control the British weather it would appear this is an ongoing problem with pitches in rabbits grove.
Overall a great campsite depending on which pitch you get!

Booked here for a week and was disappointed. Our pitch was covered in dry bark which we assumed was because the grass was a bit worn. No it was because it was mud underneath and it meant we spent the whole week walking on a squashy cold quagmire under the SIG. Not fun to clean afterwards. The staff were friendly and the facilities good but the pool was small and my children were disappointed.
