This site is brilliant! We went with two other families who stayed on neighbouring pitches. Between us we had two campervans, a caravan, two tents, two awnings, a van and a car and I'm sure we could have easily fitted on to just 2 out of the 3 huge pitches we had! The site is well divided in to separate secluded areas by large trees and shrubs. There are no straight lines which is great! You really fell like you are camping in a clearing in the middle of a wood! One of the two modern heated toilet blocks was close by. There is a family bathroom which was great for us with our 2 year old. There are hot showers too although the changing area in each is very small. Our children loved the playground and the sandpit, exploring in the woods and riding their bikes. One of their favourite games was tracking down the noisy peacocks! They have a few on site including a white one! All the staff are very friendly and the site is kept clean and tidy. The layout is brilliantly designed, you have excellent on site facilities including a shop selling local produce and a pub. You get what you pay for. As a family of 4, we paid £81 for 3 nights. (Bank holiday weekend) This includes the electric hook up. Very long hook up extension leads are loaned to you if you leave a £20 deposit at reception. We brought our own bikes (but hired a ‘sit on tag-along’ for our 4 year old from the bike hire shop on site. They also have trailers for very small children). We had a nice gentle cycle ride to the pub at Thurne to watch the sailing boats on the broads and see the windmill. This is our second trip to this site and will definitely return even though it is only a 10 minute drive from our home!

What a superb site! Have already booked a return visit for the summer ( the first time I have ever booked a second holiday at the same site). The pitches are very large, and well spaced. At the time of our visit the site was full (Easter B/H), but was not at all crowded. The site is divided up into small, secluded individual areas by mature trees. The shower blocks were beautifully clean and well maintained. Only had to wait for shower once (less than 5 mins) - at peak time! The on-site pub is very pleasant. Our children loved the playground. We also hired bikes on site - which was very convenient. The owners (John and Susie) and their staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Lots to do in the surrounding area - many sandy beaches a short drive away, handy for exploring the Broads etc. Great Yarmouth is about 8 miles (large Asda for groceries).Cannot recommend site highly enough!

Visited this site in July, having visited some 20 years earlier with my parents. I was pleasantly surprised that the same family continue to run this site with same level of enthusiasm & high standards. The whole place has a real family feel, you are given a warm welcome & nothing is too much trouble for anyone! All the staff are exceptionally happy & friendly & you get a real feel that they all love working there! This site is definitely THE best we have ever visited. There are plentiful water taps around the south park, which is where we stayed. The pitches are well sized and set around the edge of the field; so did not feel cramped in the slightest even though the site was full! The shop is small, but has most essentials. You can pre-order freshly made bread from the bakery each morning, which is to die for! The toilet/shower blocks were very modern & 1st class - the showers were the standard I usually find on my business trips in a 4* hotel & each toilet had a wash basin in. Everything was immaculate & cleaned regularly. Sometimes a short wait (5 mins) at peak times for showers, but was not a problem considering everything else was perfect! The play area, pool & wonderful on site pub is away from the main fields so noise is kept to a minimum. The small pool is a real delight & has a real continental feel as does the outdoor area next to the bar. The park is extremely secluded & set in a a forest type environment, so no noise whatsoever from roads etc. Site is an absolute gem & a credit to the whole team. I would recommend to everyone & will definitely be back!

What a superb site. The Owners have got this place perfectly set out. Absolutely gorgeous camping areas and facilities second to none. The staff were all very helpful, extremely courteous and very obliging in all areas. The pub is really nice, as is the food (did seem a little expensive) and well worth a visit. You will be seeing us again very soon.

Superb site, good sized pitches and well maintained and clean showers and loos. Site very busy at the weekend we were there because of beer festival but everyone behaved well and no late night disturbances. Only complaint is washing up facilities not really adequate so there were queues. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Just returned from a great week staying at Clippesby Hall. Yes, the school holidays were over and the weather was fabulous but they weren't the only reasons we had a great time - it really is a high quality site with an excellent layout, friendly staff and great facilities. I would agree with previous postings that emphasise the small number of showers in each block which would pose problems during busier weeks I imagine. But that really is the only criticism I would have of this site. The shower blocks are cleaned regularly and were more than satisfactory. There is so much to do in the area, you can head off in all directions - Great Yarmouth, Cromer, Norwich (for excellent shopping.) and there are some beautiful National Trust properties in the area including Blicking Hall and Sheringham Park. And you can of course have fun on the Broads by hiring a boat for an hour, or even the whole day.

Excellent all round site, good quality, high standard facilities and excellent staff. You have a choice of fields, family orientated or secluded and quiet. Toilets and showers clean. Amount of activities just right and not too much tacky entertainment. No bad points to mention. Will return next year, and can't wait.

What a charming campsite! We booked for two nights and ended up staying four, it was so lovely. The location is great, the facilities fabulous and the staff very helpful. You can even order fresh bread in the morning and pick it up hot from the oven (you're lucky if it makes it intact to the tent!). Our visit was outside school holiday time and I would imagine it would get very busy after the schools break up. You may queue for showers / washing up etc. If the site were full. Also there were only two washing machines and two dryers (if washing clothes on holiday is your thing!). Overall, highly recommended. Will be returning.

We just returned from our two days at Clippesby Hall and have nothing but praise to report. Upon our arrival at the campsite reception office, the staff were genuine and welcoming. Not only was the office well stocked with pamphlets of local attractions, but we were handed a packet of the available menu at the restaurant/pub on site. Any questions we had about hiking trails and canoe trips were readily answered, allowing our touring to be rather stress free. The pitches were extremely generous in size and the grounds were well kept with ample shading throughout. We stayed at the Dell and the only sounds we heard from our tent were those of the pigeons above. The restrooms were extremely clean and I appreciated the sinks being located within the toilet stall; privacy seems to be a strong point here. The showers were immaculate.the best camping showers I have ever used! We plan on staying again in the near future.

Just returned from a couple of nights stay here. Both my wife and I are fairly new to this camping game, but this is about our fourth ever trip and this is most definitely our favourite camp site so far. Despite being told they would close reception around 6pm, they were still there when we arrived at about 7:30pm and they were very organised and gave a very professional and warm greeting. You get a map of the camp, and we were told what time the pub stops doing food, etc. We had been lucky to get a last minute booking and had a pitch in the "Rabbits Grove" which was in a lovely tree-lined setting of just half a dozen pitches. There are other zones at this camp site, but ours was one of two more quieter and picturesque ones (the other being The Dell). The pitches were of a good standard, with plenty of space for us to be far enough away from anyone else. You can't blame the campsite for Foghorn Leghorn pitching up later on (thanks to him, we were up and awake before 7am on a warm, Sunday morning). The facilities closest to us (there's a few dotted around the campsite) were located just up from our pitch and comprised some decent showers, a family shower/change room, basin cubicles, toilets and outside sinks. Other comments have said there wasn't enough showers, but we never had to queue for showers. The water was always extremely hot and plentiful, and the only criticism was that occasionally there was a queue for the washing-up sinks. The toilet block was cleaned out regularly and thoroughly - which I appreciate as I'm the sort of bloke that doesn't appreciate any "left overs" from the previous user! But you could tell from a distance that they were being cleaned as they would leave a big yellow "Cleaning in progress" A-board outside. The "Muskett Arms" pub/restaurant on-site was alright. Just an average pub really. We didn't eat there and I thought it was a little expensive at £6 for a red wine and a pint of Carlsberg! Plenty for kids to amuse themselves with, but not having any ourselves that wasn't a plus or a minus for us - being a quiet couple in our thirties we just wanted some space and we had it along with some fantastic weather.
