This is one of our favourites, it's a super place that has all you need,
There's not a bad pitch here. The customer service is perfect from booking to leaving and the showers etc are great,
The site is spotless and the pitches are huge, you can choose from hidden away spots to large open fields. There's loads for the kids including a great cycle track through the woods,
We found a lovely little beach at Winterton on sea.
The only downside is you have to book very early and it is getting quite pricey. We have already booked again

We have just returned from a four day break at Clippesby. Our party consisted of two families and 6 children between us and we couldn't have chosen a better campsite. The weather was glorious, the campsite immaculate, the showerblocks amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful. There are two main playareas and plenty of space for the kids to run around. Absolutely fabulous. We immediately wanted to re-book upon our departure, but, alas, they are fully booked this Summer (2011). Not surprising, really. But we will continue to call and hope for a cancellation!

Just spent 2 nights 26/27th had booked 3 but site was 95% empty so left as kids were bit lonesome in south park on their own. The plus side, well landscaped spacious pitches, kids playground good but surrounded by nettles! Modern clean toilets. Well located for Broads and Bewilderwood. The bad, it was freezing but bright weather, no heating on in shower blocks. No warden available after 5pm. Prices £5.25 for kids burger n chips £8.25 for adults, decent quality apparently, but that's £30 for 2adults 2 small kids.
There's no village in walking distant about 10mins drive to nearest which as co-op, no other pub in walking distance. We did get noise from the A road in to early hours. Overall we paid £39.25 for 2 adults a 6 and 10 year old, awning and electric. We were told when we rang to book it was nearly full for this week as were the other couple campers ! In the bar there's a kids room with pay slot machines/arcade, its only suitable for over 14s, nothing for young girls or boys, but you could put 50p in a machine for a sticker !

This site is truly magnificent, beautiful trees and thoughtfully divided up into different areas to suit various needs. Sadly we were there at a very rainy time and had to park the motorhome on the access road as the grass was so muddy and slippery you could hardly walk on it. There are hardstandings but they are far away from the ablution blocks, of which there seemed to be only two. At this time of year we were on our own 'in the woods' but somehow the bathroom facilities were fairly busy with hardy camping families we never knew were there. So I wonder how busy they are when the place is full! Felt the tariff was a bit steep for this time of year, considering we couldn't avail ourselves of the facilities. Must be fabulous when the sun shines!

When we arrived on this site Norfolk had had a lot of rain and the site was fairly boggy. The site staff were very accommodating not only were they warm and welcoming but they actually towed us onto our pitch with their land rover. Once on our pitch (109 The Orchard) and set up we explored the site. We were right next to the toilet and shower block both of which were very clean and the water was nice and hot. Playgrounds children's heaven what more could kids ask for zip wirs, slides, climbing ropes and our 3 year old loved the firemans pole. There's a pub/restaurant on site, a laundry and shop/cafe and a pool cant comment on any of those we didn't use any of them. The site is in an ideal place for visiting. We visited Horsey wind pump windmill, Bewilderwood, Wroxham, Bure Valley railway, Great Yarmouth whilst there visited Yesterdays World all of those well worth visiting and all within half hours drive. As the week progressed the weather got nicer and we decided to stay an extra night the staff were fantastic very friendly, driving round the campsite each morning checking everythings ok,plenty of fire points, pitches don't seem crowded due to trees separating the fields it really is a lovely site very well thought out bike hire shop on site too. The staff also towed our caravan off our pitch very thoughtful. Would definitely return.

Just spent 4 nights at Clippesby Hall with friends who are new to camping. We chose Clippesby because we've been before and knew we could rely on their high standards.
We happened to choose the weekend of the beer festival, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All the team at this campsite are friendly, helpful and work hard to make the place what it is.
Although a big site, it is very well laid out into small areas in the woodlands. We had wo pitches in the Heath, a lovely, quiet setting, where we could never see more than 3 or 4 other tents from our pitch, but still near to the toilet block.
The toilets and showers are impressive, clean and well looked after and the water was always hot, even when busy. The only problem is that the shower cubicles in the ladies side are a bit small, making changing a bit of a challenge. The family room and other showers were quite spacious though.
We sampled the food and drink at the bar, beer festival and coffee shop and all come well recommended. There is free wifi in the bar and coffee shop.
We noticed that the bikes for hire were all new, but didn't use them this time. We have previously used routes recommended by the knowledgeable staff, which were excellent, its a good area to cyle as the roads are quiet and flat. In fact Clippesby is in a great location, right on the edge of the broads, only 2 miles from the picturesque Thurne and 4 from the larger Potter Heigham. From Potter Heigham you hire boats or take boat trips. It also has a very useful store that seems to sell everything including camping stuff if you need it. Also close enough for easy visits to Wroxham, Great Yarmouth and the coast as well as Norwich.
The shop had all the bits and peices you might need, plus some of their own branded products. The biscuits are yummy!
The only problem with this site is that it sets such a high standard for others to follow.

Just returned from a weeks stay at this excellent camp site.
We would found the facilities to be excellent although a few lights on the site on a night would be helpful especially on the walk back from the pub on site.
The facilities for kids are excellent with my little boy particularly enjoying the new wooden playground and zip wire.
We cannot wait for our return visit next year and our only regret is that we have missed the beer festival being held this weekend.
We would highly recommend this site both for the excellent set up and the very friendly and helpful staff. Keep up the good work.

Just had 5 days there and it is perfect for us.
Really pleasantly surprised as I didn't think I would like a site with so much laid on but it was great. We stayed on the orchard but have booked pitch 53 this year (smaller field of 8 pitches with lawn in the middle so quieter).
We have two boys who loved the new play area with zip wires and even a smaller one for toddlers. The BMX track is very cool too, the boys had fun running around it but will be on their bikes by next year.
Great for cycling. We hired bikes for them to get learning without stablisers and it worked a treat. The man in charge (Chris) was very helpful and there are a large number of sizes available. But it may be a good idea to pre book the ones you need!
The pub is great too with kids events on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. Good shop which has fresh breads in the morning, and can order pizza for the evening.
Norfolk is a great area too but we spent quite a lot of time in the campsite as there was so much to do.
We need to book for next year!

Clippesby Hall has got to be the most perfect campsite ever! There really is something for everyone here and after 5 days on South Park we were gutted to be going home!
The play parks are great for children of all ages and the are lovely little paths through the woods with little dens and tree houses to explore. The pub on camp was lovely with great food and twice a week there is a disco for the children where the dj is really great!
We visited quite a few places but we could have stayed put for the whole 5 days and been quite happy.
But. Be warned and book as early as possible .There were people trying to book for August 2011 and were told that the pitches they wanted were already booked up! We will be visiting again for sure.
Well worth the extra money in my opinion, you get what you pay for.

We have just returned from our first full weeks family camping trip at Clippesby. I cannot recommend it more highly. The site is very family friendly without being tacky.
The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and can advise on trips out etc. My two children (aged 12 and 10)loved the freedom of the site- riding their bikes about and they particularly liked the new adventure playground and swimming pool.
The site is well looked after and landscaped with great pitches. It did not feel too busy despite this being the height of the season and fully booked.I thought there may not be enough toilet/shower facilities but I only had to queue the odd time.
The pub on site is great for families and we went to the family discos which the kids loved.
Offsite there is lots to do. We hired a boat from Potter Heighham and a visit to Horsey beach to see the seals is a definite must. We also went to Bewiderwood which was good fun. I would definitely recommend this part of the country (we also had great weather!) and this site.
