Visited this site twice in July. Excellent location only a mile from Rutland Water. The local pub, The Cuckoo is very good, with excellent bar meals at reasonable prices, a proper pub! The Kings Arms is o.k. but more of a restaurant and it's very expensive. Both are within 3 or 4 mins walk. The Horse and Jockey in Manton is worthy of a visit too.
The site is quiet and relaxed with plenty of room. Facilities are basic but clean and functional, with a new toilet block opened last weekend. 50p for a good hot shower that lasts for 6 mins, my girlfriend timed it!
The lady that runs the site is friendly and helpful.
To sum up, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back!

Real camping!! Excellent countryside. Facilities adequate, good showers and toilets. Nothing fussy - hell, I came to camp. Excellent pubs and restaurant in village.

Have been here twice in a tent, really enjoyed the peace and quiet but the site is very basic. Lovely area to stay and the local pubs are great. Looking forward to going again, but this time in a caravan.

Basic site, altough in a lovely location. Two showers and loos. Electric hook up available. Great pub and resturant in village (couple of minutes walk).
We have been there several times - it is one of our favourite get away from it all sites.

VERY basic - no showers, just a couple of toilets in a basic block. Good for short stay. Smallish site but in pretty area and close to Rutland water.
